  1. I'm willing to help as well. English and literature are my best subjects, even though I probably won't have a career around them. If your story has been in planning for close to a decade, it must have a lot of potential!  :)

Edit: If you want, I can help proofread your story as well, Echo.

  2. Looks like my free company ended. :(  It sucks, but it was bound to happen, eventually. If anyone's got a recruiting free company in Gilgamesh, I'll be glad to join. In the meanwhile, I'm gonna get endgame gear for my Paladin and chose my second main. I can't decide between another tank or starting a DPS.

  3. Sadly, I haven't seen any at $35 or below. The ones I've seen on eBay are at least $40, and those are used.

Edit: While I hate eBay. there may be some FightPads in your price range here: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/madcatz-street-fighter-iv

If you're looking for one with Ryu on it, and don't mind it being used, I'd check here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/322000389039?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82

Good luck. I know how annoying it is to find these controllers from personal experience. If you need more information, let me know.

  4. Nice, a Borderlands thread!

Honestly, I feel that the accomplishments of the first vault hunters are nearly as significant as the second. Comparing the Destroyer vs the Warrior, I'd say the latter was more dangerous than the former. The Destroyer was completely stationary; lore-wise, Mordecai could have sniped the ugly thing at a safe distance, unharmed.

From a biased standpoint, my favorite cast is from Borderlands 2, with my favorite being Krieg. It's a shame the developers didn't give more backstory on him; his inner voice and outer voice conflict was the most interesting to me. I also really liked a metaphor that I read about his concept: a driver controlling an accelerating truck without brakes, maneuvering the truck to avoid as many innocent people as possible.

Also, one thing I never understood in the Pre-Sequel, was Handsome Jack's descent into a villain. It just happened out of nowhere, in my opinion.

  5. Looks like 3.2 is coming soon; Along with some changes to vitality on tanks, too. I rejoined on Gilgamesh a while back, and got my Paladin to level 60. My free company has plenty of DPS and heals, so I decided my second main would be another tank. I'm currently deciding between Dark Knight and Warrior.

  6. I love every Christmas eve almost as much as Christmas. My family opens one present before the next day! Because my brother and I can easily tell which of our presents are which, we used to team up and open the present with the gaming console and the present with a game for that console, when we were kids. Basically, that's the unfair advantage of being twins.

  7. I'm gonna take the obvious route and pick Wishmaster (not the full album). Every time I hear someone mention Nightwish, that song pops up in my head. Whether or not it's the most remembered or iconic song by Nightwish, it's a darn good power metal song (at least, I think it fits the power metal genre...).

  8. If the writers wanted to make some of the lore dark, perhaps it was implied that Luna, who was Nightmare Moon, simply waited and planned for those hundreds of years. Luna was Nightmare moon when she was banished, and she was the same when she returned. While banished on the moon, her anger and resentment toward her sister probably kept her in that form. Her anger likely grew worse and worse as years passed.

However, her plans were exactly the same, like you mentioned. All I can think of now is either her waiting for 1000 years, or being trapped in stasis from magic.

  9. Same here! It's cool to see another friend that likes tanking! DPS, and even healing, has been more common for others to choose nowadays. Even in games where tanking is less stressful/ stress-free.

  10. Hey, Jonas! How's it going? Are you up for a silly scenario/personality-based question?   :)

You are a gladiator in a coliseum, and you've reached the final round. Your next opponent is the champion, and they've never lost a single battle in their life as a gladiator. Despite this frightening fact, you are 100% confident that you will win this battle. You reach for your weapon behind you, and it is: (                   ).

  11. I don't watch much anime, but I've got plenty of game weapons that I like.

Top five weapons from favorite to least favorite:

    1. Faith made into a physical weapon (This is very rare to see. You could conjure lighting spears and other things in Dark Souls. I also remember in Dungeon Fighter Online, the priest could create hammers and spears of light.)

    2. Giant Cross (Extremely rare to see. I've only seen it also in Dungeon Fighter Online. You can probably guess who uses it as a hammer to bash enemies with and cast spells.)

    3. Tower shield only (Yup. I like swords, but I don't love them. I think a knight that could take advantage of a gigantic shield without using any other weapon would be cool.)

    4. Unarmed or fist weapon (I don't know when, but unarmed combat became one of my favorite options in video games.)

    5. Sword and shield (The classic sword and board combo. In most RPGs I'm stuck with this option. I don't mind, though.)

  12. I think it looks pretty good! Your punctuation doesn't look that bad to me, either. I don't read fan works often, but I like this concept as well. It looks like it could possibly go in a dark direction, which could be very interesting. Nice!

  13. Pretty much any fighting game. My competitive ability is nearly halved, since my arcade fightstick stopped working. I'm terrible with gamepads, compared to arcade sticks. The only fighting game that I'd say I was great at was Killer Instinct. Despite being Killer ranked, my loss rate is huge. I'd blame my preference toward choosing grapplers, and lack of practice.

I'd love to get into Street Fighter V and Killer Instinct Season 3, but my controller problem is preventing me from doing it. I've always been above average in Smash Bros, but my brother is more competitive at that.

  14. Honestly, I've started from liking the cartoon to seriously appreciating it. I wasn't into television before I watched the first episode. After watching the episode, I was happy to have plenty more to watch, since I began during Season 4. Throughout Season 1 to Season 4, it reminded me of the times cartoons reliably entertained me when I was a kid. It also fueled my creativity and my interest in other's creativity. It also introduced me to an online community of friendly, like minded people (this website!), which I'm very grateful to be part of. Lastly, it got me to know myself better, and release my extroverted self that I've hidden for years.

While I've never experienced the previous generations of MLP, Friendship is Magic not only entertained me and brought T.V back in my interests, it also changed me for the better. The unique, adorable, and relatable cast combined with its stories and fantastic setting has left a permanent impression on me. Whether it's funny, heartwarming or serious, I've always enjoyed and appreciated each episode.

  15. @Kyoshi:

Because I absolutely love this game, I might be a biased source. However, comparing it to similar games or checking the features might help with convincing you whether or not to buy it. For example, this RPG has an emphasis on loot, similar to the Borderlands series. Also like Borderlands, it has a color coded loot system that lets you see if the equipment is worth using. This typically ranges from white (ordinary equipment) to orange (amazing and rare equipment).

There are currently 6 character classes, and they can be played as male or female.

Barbarian: Typical Warrior character. fights in Melee range, tough, can use giant two-handed weapons, or two one handed weapons.

Monk: Fast melee character. They're one of the best classes for healing and buffing allies, but they're also good at dealing damage too. Not tough, but not fragile either. Signature weapons include fist weapons or daibos.

Witch Doctor: Ranged caster character. They're so unique with their attack approaches that it's hard to compare them to any other class. They're great at weakening or debuffing their enemies, and they're great with inflicting status ailments such as poison. Can summon a good amount of allies around the beginning levels, up to a ridiculous amount of summons endgame. Their weapons are ceremonial knives.

Demon Hunter: Ranged Archer character. They can attack from a great distance, set traps, evade, and plenty more flashy tricks. Their defense isn't significant, but the devastating damage that they can deal is. They use bows, crossbows, or dual hand crossbows.

Wizard: Typical Mage character. They often attack from a distance, and their attack spells can have a huge area of effect. They have shielding spells, so they're not too fragile. Their damage is great, also.

Crusader (my personal favorite): Tanky melee character. With their defense and healing potential, they resemble Paladins from other RPGs. Can be very hard to kill, and they can make use of their high toughness to convince their enemies to attack them rather than an ally. They almost always carry shields, and they use flails.

this game's view is primarily a bird's eye view. Pretty much 100% of the time, you will see your character and the world around them from above. While playing co-op has more benefits, you can also solo (which is still fun). As your character advances through levels, they learn new skills and obtain runes to enhance those skills. Choosing a skill or rune isn't a permanent choice. You can switch around active skills and runes to form many builds. The same applies to passive skills.

The Xbox One version of Diablo 3 is a good choice, if you don't have a gaming PC or your friends prefer Xbox. Before I had a gaming PC, my brother and I played co-op on the Xbox 360 version of Diablo 3 (I strongly recommend against this if you have an Xbox One), and it was very fun.

Before you take my word for it, I suggest looking at videos of gameplay during the beginning.

TLDR: Diablo 3 has six character classes with their own strengths and weaknesses. Loot is always emphasized in this game. The gameplay is always in a bird's eye view from above. If you have multiple consoles, the one your best friends choose would be recommended. Avoid the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions; They are no longer supported, unlike the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions.

If you have any other questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Hello, everyone! In this thread, we'll discuss the popular loot-focused Action RPG, Diablo 3. I'd also encourage forming clans, or we could all form one gigantic clan! Currently, I'm leveling my crusader in Season 4, but I'm willing to start from scratch to play co-op with a beginner or someone starting over. All players are welcome, and I'm looking forward to chatting with you all about adventures and loot!

Edit: I forgot to mention that I play the PC version.
