  1. Helping the community out...is all the payment you really need.  :)

Not to also mention there may be financial issues where the community will need the money for the forums to stay up, also may stir drama when it comes to who gets paid what-- Hah! Don't even get me started about the amount of over-flowing applications they would have to approve and disprove if people were to find out they can be paid for their tasks!

Either way, these tasks/jobs aren't complicated. These positions are held for those who want to lend a helping hoof (or in my case, a lending wing,) but very small benefits may apply? Hmm, not sure.

  2. It really depends for me. As someone mentioned I love Backstreet Boys and the Beach Boys. N'Sync is catchy, but definitely not a band I would obsess over.

1D was okay, until that is Zayn left. Harry's voice is spine-chilling, so at least 1D is holding up barely.. Meh, once again I usually listen to music by Enya, Enigma, Josh Groban, not much of modern pop. (Except I do love some-what older modern pop, like older rap, r&b, jazz, etc.)

  3. Err.. his screaming.. yuck. I mean I won't lie, I get squealy too when I'm intrigued, upset, or excited but he takes it to another level. He's very generous from what I can tell-- he often donates to charities, in fact I believe one of his charities he raised to $1 million? How cool is that?

Nonetheless, he's not the main issue-- it's his fans. A bunch of screaming fans who keep saying ridiculous stuff and sometimes even start to harass other people as well. It's very gross how obsessive people became and still are of him, which is why I usually avoid watching his videos so I ignore the comments.

I also love how he points out some gross flaws, like on (damn I don't remember the game's name,) some game, he kept pointing out how gross it was how the game kept portraying underaged people as sex objects, you know? He isn't bad, it's just some of the games and his fans. Sorry, this comment was longer than intended-- hehe.  :squee:

  4. Apologies for the noob question, but is it possible to play as a canon character, specifically one of the main six? I am not sure if this roleplay is supposed to pertain to the timeline of the show or if it is non-canon.

I'll look into this. (I'll just edit this comment.. Hehe.)

  5. *clears throat* Me? Duckkin? And possibly Beaverkin? What? Who said that? Not me! Hehe..

Yeah I'm duckkin, more specifically a mallard. I've had astral limbs which are webbed feet, and I believed at a point I felt like I had a duck bill/beak? Honestly even if I never experienced these, I definitely identify as a duck. Have no clue why, but whenever I see ducks I.. feel like I'm home? I believe this is more out of psychological reasons, but all well.

Also I definitely may be something else as well but I just can't place it. Well, that's something for me to be in concern of. Meh.

To get started, let me explain a few things I'd like to clear up because I noticed confusion among the otherkin community as well as the mogai alike.

Otherkinity is not a form/expression of gender, your gender cannot be a cat

Some people use being otherkin as a coping mechanism or for spiritual/religious beliefs. To go more in depth, a coping mechanism is a way how a person, well, copes with something. Where as spirituality comes in, it can come in forms of having dreams of being such creature, having astral/phantom limbs (sometimes you feel like you have physical characteristics of such, I knew people who had it so bad they were dysphoric,) or in general sometimes people identify with a creature simply just because. Regardless of reason, everyone is valid.

If I'm not mistaken, the term otherkin was coined by Tumblr, but the idea of otherkinity as a whole derived from a community of elves in the mid-late 90s. [link is PDF.] I apologize, I read about this but I'm not 100% educated. I would try to read all of it, but I have poor reading comprehension. Thanks alot, ADHD.

People who identify as otherkin do not believe they're an oppressed community. We know we're not oppressed, we know! If you see anyone saying such, there's 200212% chance they're a troll.

No, we don't identify as tampons and we're not triggered by oxygen. This was a harmful stereotype making fun of those (more in particular mentally ill teens,) who have severe triggers, or triggers that seem odd but actually connects to something bigger.

Being otherkin doesn't automatically make you "delusional", it has been proven by psychologists themselves that otherkinity is indeed healthy and a common form of a coping mechanism. (Another link: Mental Illness vs. Otherkin) But yeah, go ahead and keep degrading a community made up of mentally ill people in the first place, why don't-cha? (THERE ARE CITED RESOURCES ON THE POSTS, SO THESE LINKS ARE VALID)

Though people may identify as a creature, it doesn't mean we all believe we're "X trapped in a human body". (By the way, stop saying for for us trans people as well? I'm trapped in no one's body, I'm in my own physique, just with a different gender identity other than the one assigned to me at birth.) Most otherkin are aware they're humans, but regardless they still identify as something non-human.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I'm always available! :D

  6. Anyone here play Summoners War, and if so what's your username? :o

On SW I'm ♥Enby Duck♥, you may occasionally catch me at channel 1 or 2022. Also this is somewhat a side question.. does anyone draw SW related stuff? I don't get to see much for for this beloved game..

    Have a great day! :D

  8. This is completely irrelevant to racism.

How is that picture shown though make her a stoner? And when you equate black features (wooly hair, dreadlocks, cornrows, etc.) to "stoner-esque- B.S., that is racist. Unless if OP is implying in general people are making her a stoner, then yeah that's messed up, but the picture in general shown she does not look like a stoner.

  9. sig-3776205.sig-3776205.Tree-Hugger-FlutI like this one, even if she only appears for one episode, but now people are making fan art of her doing drugs, really? That's sick and real shameful.

....Uh.. I'm confused-- what gives out that it makes her look like "she's doing drugs"?

Dreadlocks =/= Bob Marley 420 blaze it, that's just plain out racist if you assume of such.

  10. I thought picturing God was explicitly against Islamic teaching?

    Wow, thanks. (Sarcasm) >_>

Research indeed, I've been hit with Bible verses more heavily by atheists than I have ever heard a Christian use them as a weapon. When I said "friend of all faiths" I said that speaking as a Syncretic Christian and I can assure you we are not a violent religion and should do a better job a policing ourselves against those who are.

(You can PM me for religious questions, I'm something of an amateur theologian, which is why I asked here in the first place, I'm lacking knowledge on Islam.)

Sorry, I meant as in pictures of scriptures and such of Islamic religion. I apologize, I'm plugged up due to summer allergies and I'm feeling a lil loopsy. My honest mistake. :/

Also when I say violent, I really mean as in the past of Christianity. (Including racist, homophobic, sexist stuff, etc.) I apologize for offending you. Once again, I definitely need to learn to not jump to conclusions, especially when I feel like I'm gonna pass out lol.

  11. @@NonbinaryDuck,

As someone who is a friend to all faiths, I am happy for you.  :)

Might I ask what exactly it was that you felt made this particular religion call to you, and why did you feel that being without one was no longer satisfying to you?

I only ask because I hear far too many tales of people turning away from religion yet not that many of people turning to it.

(Actually, as someone who's not a Muslim, should I even be hear?)

(You can stay here, after all you may have questions regarding of the religion, so it's good seeing people wanting to be educated! :) )

Hmm, I'm not sure.. The context and things I've seen of (especially pictures of Allah) seems very real to me.. Almost as if I lived this life before. Now, I'm not completely educated with religion, so I cannot say exactly about it.. But uh, yeah. Also I wssmt really, well, unsatisfied with being an atheist xD it's more of.. Discovering a bit more of myself. Christianity to me is not only.. Uh.. Violent.. But most people who I know use it against others, so maybe that part also concluded and further motivated me to stay away from it :(.

I hope this explains a bit, I need to research this stuff more before jumping into conclusions.

How do you interpret Quran 9:29 (in context itwas revealed in 630 AD, which was carried out by later caliphs too and later gens)

And Quran 3:110 and Quran 98:6

Apart of religion I believe is where you have to set certain standards. For example of regarding Quran 9:29, I do not believe of fighting those who do not dedicate their lives worshipping Allah, let alone those who do not believe in such religion. Again, most religious contexts I know has some pinch of ignorance and bewilder, but regardless of so I accept everyone, not just those who believe in Allah :)

Also Quran 3:110.. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't this one glorify polytheists and say basically that if you do not believe in such God, they are not as great as we are? Sorry I'm forgetful ahh, but if it is that, we shouldn't put religions on shelfs to see which one is on the highest most adored and "right" religion.

Quran 98:6 is, yet again, reminds me of how most religions are like. I'm not surprised, but disappointed. Some may be flexible with their religion, and I believe that's okay. I'm just shocked about "They are the worst creatures." *sigh* I'm not exactly sure how to feel about this, but I only believe those who go to "you know where" are people who've done bad, not those of different beliefs, regardless if in the same religion.

I apologize if anything I said threw anyone off, my adhd prevents me from saying things without getting mixed up.. Ahhh! Have a nice day! :)

  12. Hey everyone! I may soon convert from being an atheist, to being Muslim. I've been reading things of religion lately, and for some reason I have a strange yet calming connection towards the Muslim religion.

Whoops, hehe getting somewhat off topic. Anyway, I saw a thread for Christians, and I was like "Come on, there has to be at least one Muslim here on the forums..?" This thread will be a good opportunity for Muslims to discuss about their religion and possibly answer some questions.

Thank you very much everyone! Please, enjoy yourselves, and may Allah be with you. :)

  13. This lil duckling was searching stuff about psychology. Imagine, me, a duckling, wearing smarty brain clothes and with glasses. Sitting, talking to my slightly concerned but yet amused client, hugging themself as I talk about the almighty duck Lord. Ah yes, my future is bright.

    • Brohoof 1
  14. Meh, honestly?.. I'd think I would do a pretty good job. I've moderated before, not on forums websites, but in game servers. I've received many compliments, and people strongly respected me.

Again, that's what I've seen from my view, not much of others. If there was trash talked about me, then all well. I wouldn't do anything bad in the first place to receive that treatment haha.

  15. Oh, ther3s actually one thing which actually pissed me off-- people telling people that they shouldn't be bothered or even triggered by X thing for Y reason.

Do people even know what triggers are? You cannot control triggers. If you're triggered, you don't get to choose: "Hmm, so I want to go into a panic attack, or a seizure today?" Oh my gosh, lool.

Also some people have really bad experiences, and you making half-assed rants about why we shouldn't be bothered by anything really makes me upset. I don't care if you experience triggers yourself, you don't have a say of how others should react and feel when encountering something which gives them a hard time coping with.

    Enough said.

  16. Jokes about rape, molestation, pedophilia, racism, misogyny, triggers, and the list goes on. I'm personally not exactly offended, but I understand that others are, hence I limit myself from jokes unless if I experience such of any of these things and use it as a coping mechanism. Really, I'm only "offended" because others are, so I try to paraphrase and express their feelings so others can understand to perceive the way how the person feels.

In other words, I'm more of a middleman. I just give the same info to others.
