  3. From my research it is said that it changes color depending on energy
  4. OH gosh no! I didn't mean like that. Each religion has different types same with spiritual beliefs, there are also extremists of everything. But there are also those that truly are as accepting and understanding as they claim. I honestly was raised Roman Catholic and have seen some aspects that made me uncomfortable like god asking people to prove their faith to be worthy, like being a decent human being isn't good enough. Like you can be a horrible person towards others, but as long as you believe in god you will have redemption? ...never sat right to me But I learned that this isn't the case for every catholic or christian practice, there are those that understand that the bible was written by human hands, and humans are flawed, not to mention it being translated and passed down thousands of times thus warping words. But follow the core message of loving thy neighbor. I am not catholic anymore, lease i don't consider myself to be. Enough so I feel it will be disrespectful if I took the eucharist. Anyway, all I'm saying is that there are some sectors of each belief that focuses on the bad, as there are sectors that focus more on the good, but not so much so where they treat others better than another. The reason I say I practice the spirituality of Buddhism is because I am not a part of the cast/monarchy like system (may be using wrong term, sorry). I just practice the core belief and practice of it and Unitarianism (letting go, accepting that things are non abiding, showing respect and care towards others, spreading love and positivity, allowing yourself to have a calm/mindful view) What I have personally been looking into encourages people to grow to be comfortable within their own life and form healthy relationships with others, even ways choices you can make when someone upsets you. No discouragement if you struggle in anyway, just encouragement to try, so that you may help make a more peaceful environment around you. I don't know much about the Imperial Creed ... I recall it having to do with warhammer (forgive me if that is not it and I'm being disrespectful with that connection)... but I would love to hear about it from you if you get the chance! (could google but hearing from a person helps me grasp it better) Oh I know! Right vs Wrong confuses me, like it's all so relative. I feel bad, but I have cause concern to some of my old friends when I brought up the point that just because something is illegal and one will be courted for it, doesn't necessarily make the act wrong. But like you mentioned 'drugs' which are basically remedies which alter one's consciousness to some extent. -shrugs- As long as a person in not causing harm to others or themselves without purpose to prevent harm, I don't see why it's so bad. The current society where i live does upset me greatly, so have been practicing as a means to better accept that I can only do what I can to possible make my own or another's life even a little bit better... In a way I guess they are in a way. Haven't thought much about that. Though there is still a difference between just being spiritual vs religious. I have been too, I struggle to even see a faint aura with the white paper practice thing. And I have found my weak chi/chakra points so have been working on strengthening them, I don't have any overactive points, just some underactive. I have also noticed a change after focusing on those aspects and points The human mind i so fascinating on how powerful it really can be, like how the placebo effect really is a thing because of the person believing enough. Have been trying to control it (mind over matter) so that I can create my own placebo...hard to control since subconsciously I still know I'm not doing anything, but has seemed to help when I could calmly focus enough. Had major back surgery and practiced placeboing myself to heal faster, and I did manage to heal a week earlier than was said.
  5. I am not really one for traditions They are nice, but it's just not as relaxing as it should be. People get all hype when things don't go perfectly at the exact time, and it's just so much stress and rushing around, they become hardly enjoyable like that :/
  6. Oh wow! Makes sense why I absorb the emotions around me like a sponge!
  7. ah ok that's understandable I do still should make more time for meditation, my mind is so loud it makes it hard to get comfortable enough to focus just on my breathing. Might practice before bed... might help me fall asleep. Receiving messages sounds lovely too
  8. Not directed at me, and I'm sure had no intention to upset me. Since he did notice me becoming upset when he was joking about people who I saw myself in, and he did stop when he noticed. I just have anxiety when it comes to standing up for myself/others. Didn't mean to turn this into a pitty party, more of an example of progress I am proud of ^ u ^
  9. It's calming... yet a bit difficult regarding the mental shift I read Buddhist Bootcamp which involves this guys journey into the practice from being a lawyer and someone who avoided things like it. The idea of letting go and not feeling attached or clinging to temporary things ... it's been hard for me to try to fight the urge to cling to such things, but I have been a calmer happier person the more I practice that mindset. Remaining calm when something pushes you the wrong way has to be the hardest, yet I have never been so level headed with my dad. He has awful bondy-image negativity towards others and sexist gender role views. Normally I would get so upset I would have to leave the house to avoid him seeing me crying from frustration.. but now I have notices I'm starting to just tell him that it doesn't matter, that they live their life, and you can live your life. Also you don't have to give up your religion if you were wondering that, since it's more a spiritual mindfulness practice vs a religion.
  10. Hello, I am wondering if there are spiritual people on these forums, I'm sure there are, but am curious. I bring this up because I have been practicing Buddhism spiritually, and Unitarianism and would like to discuss it with people if I can. To learn techniques or experiences. EDIT: It seems some are bringing up religion which can become controversial, please avoid opinionating on religious beliefs, or at least be careful if you are... Please keep this friendly.
  11. I know, it is hard at first to try to avoid upsetting someone on a personal level. (not like how fluttershy had to be hard of the sprites to help them) I'm assuming you are in high school? Personally I was surrounded by jokes like that all the time, and have noticed that people who like jokes like that tend to have the negativity enhanced. And sorry for not being clear! I didn't mean that they MAKE whackos become whackos, I meant like it enforces it, more so with rpe. Going to sound gender bias for a sec but gonna speak from my own experience With all the "just rpe them" or "they got rped" jokes the seem to allow guys to not take it as seriously as they should. I am sure they still understand violent rpe is horrable and wrong, but they tend to fail to understand why convincing a yes is still a form of rpe since they don't want it, but they pushed them into it. That may be more from the entitlement, believing that women owe them pleasure. Like those jokes about how withholding pleasure is a horrible unfair punishment. not personal experience, but hearsay. Regarding race, you know those jokes about black people gonna shoot you, steal you money, or whatever. It's subconscious, but people act is if that is real. It's upsetting for them when people avoid them because they believe such huge biased exaggerations. This is just for jokes that affect people's lives. light hearted or even dark jokes that don't affect people negatively daily can be fine with the right audience. But sadly, as long as people are being treated poorly from biases, positive jokes about such biases are harmful. Honestly I like jokes about people who actually believe these outrageous stereotypes and entitlement... but i'm sure it's not healthy of my to make fun of people for not knowing what affect their behaviors have on others... now that i think about it... I went on sorry! But I want to say thank you so much for speaking calmly with me <3 I respect that Been used to people turning viewpoints into a closed minded brawl :/ I hope your highschool experience is going better than mine personally did!
  12. It makes me uncomfortable to type it or even say it because of my past. no one can choose their audience when it involves being posted in public. By jokes seem to not be to make laughter I meant that, from my witnessed experiences, people who typically tell dark joke and follow up with "it's just a joke"... they tell the joke not to create laughter, but tell it expecting laughter. So when it turns out their joke has a negative effect, they become defensive feeling their joke is funny no matter what the reaction ended up being. It's important to also note that your audience may not have people who will be hurt by your joke, but may have people who truly believe that mindset is ok and take it seriously, but in a positive way vs negative. Meaning it tells the rpeist it's ok, that it's funny they hurt and terrorise people. That stereotypes are correct and each and every person of a certain dynamic has no real individuality. It's upsetting that those people exist, but they do... by telling these joke, it lets these people feel that they did or are doing nothing wrong. I know jokes aren't real or serious, that's what makes a joke, a joke. They are funny since they are unexpected exaggeration generally. But many do take it as an incentive that those actions and mindsets are ok or funny to do to others. This of course is assuming joke which speak of harm in a positive light. @Aleh I am not the best with words, so idk if this would be easier for us over pm/chat to share our perspectives
  13. I am super excited for this episode! Plus that new friend concept looks amazing! I really would like to see more discord character development
  14. Oh gosh so much is good I'd have to say I love mixing them! My favorite mixe is root beer, coca cola/drpepper and a bit of sprite
  15. I appreciate that you made this forum! But I do feel uneasy and honestly scared there are people here shaming people who get offended so going to bring some information to light in this topic. (sorry if was said, didn't have mental strength to finish reading all the posts) There are common offensive subjects that are more likely to be upsetting to people when joked about, that is ones that involve serious harm or bullying which effects a person's life. This include r*pe joke, minority jokes, disorder jokes, target shaming (insulting a specific someone or subject) Topic which have a very heavy weight on them. Then there are semi-personal offensive subject which are more for individuals, but are still relatively common. Including STD jokes, death jokes And lastly there are truly personal defensive subject, these one are similar to those which people hyper over exaggerate about when claiming "all subjects are offensive" These are more for individual people specifically, not common triggers, but can still exist to a single person based on their past. Have you seen the Breakfast comic? It discusses how this person knows that breakfast is seen as a silly and extreme subject to ask to be censored from them, but what has happened to her has made breakfast a nightmare. These may vary, but this is how I view offensive subjects. There are plenty of safe subjects to joke about, jokes are meant to be funny. The second it upsets someone, it is now bullying and no longer a joke. For example, one day I made a joke about dieting, and this really hurt my friend. The others on the room defended me, but I knew if it's not funny to everyone in the target audience, it's no longer just a joke. The common offencive jokes are subject that affect other's way of living. Yes words are words, but words are powerful. They tell people it's ok to treat others horribly. That it's funny to hurt people. Please be respectful towards others. Isn't that one of the messages in mlp? I hope I'm not sounding rude or like a flamer, if I am please let me know how and I'll correct it! But it just breaks my heart when people abuse jokes to the point where they aren't about making people laugh anymore... EDIT: I see people bringing this up too
  16. Thank you for the warning. Would you mind putting up under a spoiler tho? Sorry if bothering you..
  17. Discord is wonderful! I really appreciate that they brought a villain back vs letting them rot (well they seem to do that for most villains) I am still hopefully that pinkie and discord become closer friends! Since they are both chaos like, she could show discord how there is Chaotic Good Show that create positive change and give villains a chance to change really warms my heart Tho I i must say I was severly disappointed in him in the episode he turned on them and lost control over his original habits. But everyone relapses, so was good that they seemed to forgive. It would have been wonderful if he stayed in the castle and went with them on missions!
  18. Fluttershy is so inspiring to me! Since I tend to be scared to stand up for myself and have social anxiety, so watching her grow as a character is just so wonderful! <3 ...also the image in the original post is broken...idk if you know
  19. OH wow that's awesome! I love faceless creepy. I'm bad with names, but the brown pony with the bowtie looks the creepiest since they match well with the background!
  20. I decided to practice my Vectoring skills recently, so made a redraw of one of the skills from the Angelic Buster class in Maplestory http://taxonomicspider.deviantart.com/art/Angelic-Buster-Dragon-Skill-533126622 It could use tweeks to make the gradients at the ends smoother, but was for practice If there are any illustrator users who know of tips and trick for gradients and blurs that would be appreciated! I used Gaussian for the background blur effects, and seem to somewhat expand with the image, but still pixelate when zoomed in... Attempting to use blend didn't seem to work for color to transparent, if anyone has suggestions or know of tutorial regarding this effect it would be greatly appreciated!
  21. <3 thank you guys Didn't expect so much welcome honestly, this is a lovely pleasant surprise! <3 *hugs all*
  22. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Fluttershy How did you find MLP Forums?: Googling for friendly mlp fan bases. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Finally admitting to myself that I love the show... Hello, I'm Christine(Chris) I am grey-asexual, panromantic... I am a Tumblr user and believe in justice For a while I have been reluctant to admit I like mlp because of the mainstream fandom I have been lurking around for one that is caring and gentle Not harsh and cruel like most unfortunately are... I am hopeful that these forums are a welcoming and gentle environment One that really is safe and respectful for all audiences I am also into Steven Universe, oitnb, Gravity Falls, Star vs the forces of evil, and some others I hope we can be friends <3
