I believe they're in the phase of "role model" where they set the example and we learn from it. I do not think it's bad since they're probably the few things in this world that teach me good morals. I can happily say I've learned quite a bit about friendship and how to act because of the Main Six. If it was on a more toned down scale I think it would appeal less to younger audiences and I think Hasbro want to keep it appealing to this "younger audience". You could watch a drama on the tv if you want a more relatable main character with a much more real to life setting. But for the MLP universe I think it's perfect the way things are, over the top fun.

I'd probably have to say Apple Jack, I do prefer honesty above all else. I'd rather the truth about whatever be out instead of bottled away and suppressed. Of course this type of friendship isn't for everybody and I know a lot of people would rather someone lie to them than tell them the cold hard truth. I just personally find honesty to be the best case for myself.

Alicorn's specialize in having more power than your typical Unicorn. They also have flight like a Pegasi and strength like a Earth pony. They're also deemed as Royalty probably because of how unique they are in the Pony race. But just because they have more room to hone their magic it doesn't make them invincible or over powered. It certainly gives them a leg up to a point where they have respectably more power than your average pony citizen. It's very fitting for the ruler of a race to have the power to defend its republic. A bit like a Mother Bear Protecting its Babies from the evils that lurks the world.  

I could never be a serious MLP fan since I barely remember much. I'd need to go and read up some lore line by line to get anywhere near such a stage. If such a stage is even possible since new stuff always being spewed out it would be almost impossible to be on top all the time. There are so many outlets taking in new MLP Fandom creations all the time, there could be a site undiscovered yet with thousands of unseen MLP content.
