    Plotting their next move in their lair. As beings who are at least 1000 years old, I envision them with a lair somewhere filled with provisions, loot, and so forth they have been hoarding for an emergency. It is from here I imagine them planning what to do next. An idea I had is that they go to a contact of theirs, the Witch Hydia(from the original MLP movie), who instructs them on how to regain their powers and immortality, in exchange for services.

    What you said about Trixie is very much alike what I had planned for her as well, and the Dazzlings. What I had in mind was that "Professor Sombra" was an infamous occultist and, amongst those who are magically inclined(like Zecora) know the truth that he was actually a Necromancer abusing magic to prolong his life, with an origin tracing back to Medieval times. The abandoned Mansion of his last persona(as he updates his name and appearance to the era) lies empty in the Everfree, and characters like Trixie and/or The Dazzlings could try to scavenge whatever pieces of mystical lore or artefacts remain in it. It would be implied by Zecora that she's sure he's still around somewhere, possibly in a new identity.

    I see people mentioning Zecora. I personally hope she retains her Mystic/Alchemist characteristics, as I am very interested in "Human world magic" being a thing. Zecora could be a mystic who either lives in the the Everfree Forest or has an occult/herbal medecine shop somewhere in town, or possibly both, but she is still a magical being. Likewise, I'd like Discord to remain an actual Chaos Spirit(possibly one that looks like Q from Star Trek) rather than just becoming a normal Human. A major plot point for Equestria Girls could be researching, discovering and either harnessing or neutralizing Human world magic, as well as uncovering the mysteries of why it isn't as prominent in the Human world as Equestrian magic is in Equestria. I have lots of ideas for what I'd do with Equestria Girls if I was writing for it, but I'm getting kinda tired of writing them down in multiple threads. I might make a copy/pasta for them... but I've posted them in other threads about what people want in Equestria Girls.

    Sometimes adults can't help but look too deeply into something meant to be simply, light-hearted and meant for children. Everyone speaks English because if they didn't it would overcomplicate things. Rest assured, if MLP had the characters speaking some alien language, the charm would have been lost.

    Shorts are nice, but Friendship Games suffered because they didn't put enough time into it. Would you rather have the films themselves be better? or have their quality lower and have some shorts? Time spent on the shorts could have been spent on Friendship Games itself, and Sunny Flare and Lemon Zest and maybe Indigo Zap could have had some actual characterization and more lines. I think i'd rather have a full on series, though.

    Maybe they decided to spend the time, effort and resources on improving the movie itself. Friendship Games suffered for not having enough time, which could have been used fleshing out the Shadowbolts more. Sunny only had a few lines and we could not determine what if any defining traits she had, and although Lemon Zest had a defining trait, alas she only had a single line in the whole movie. I wouldn't mind director's cuts at a later date when they decide they are "done" with the EqG movies, where removed scenes and additional material is added, as well as a few edits to plot/dialogue. I'm sure Sunset's original plan could have done with a few more steps...

    Also Equestria Girls probably isn't set in America, it's probably set in a fictional world.

    Do not make claims without evidence. "Misinformers" are an actual thing. We've had people do this on these boards before. One time, someone tried to claim he signed a contract with Hasbro to put his OC into Equestria Girls to be the boyfriend of Aria Blaze of Sunset Shimmer. Highly dubious indeed. For some reason, some Humans derive satisfaction from "tricking" people with false information, but sometimes they just enjoy the false excitement they build up or because it makes them the centre of attention. I would like a EqG series, though. They'd have more time to flesh characters out and full fill plots without having to worry about time constraints. I don't think the thread should stick around, though.

    It's canon, though, as stated by writers and Hasbro. It just doesn't effect the main series. The season 5 finale even happened in EqG. Writers shouldn't listen to modern fans anyway, and shouldn't "appease" them. They don't know what they want or are just irrational, greedy and self-absorbed. It's because of this toxicity Bubbline pandering happened in Adventure Time. Adults just need to let the kids have their cartoons and learn to live with the fact the universe doesn't revolve around them.

    Wouldn't it make more sense to dedicate the time and resources to the movie itself? Both the original and Friendship Games suffered for a lack of time.

    I keep seeing this thread. Marketing toys of cute girls has a much wider market than colorful cartoon horses originally intended for small girls. Come on, you know the kind of people who buy toys of cute girls... I'm not so much talking about the dolls though as I am the Minis and the potential other toy lines they could do with it. Struggle as we may to rationalize anything counter to it, colorful talking cartoon ponies for girls has a stigma of sorts which keeps a lot of people away from buying toys of them.

    I'd love for them to return. To be quite honest, them fleeing to the Everfree would seem like a good way to bring them back, we see crystals everywhere in the Everfree concept art, so it may be possible it's where there pendants come from. I always head cannoned that they got the pendants from Hydia, who was Human witch who was the villain of the original G1 MLP movie. Throw in Zecora as her rival and arch-enemy and we've got the villains and primary source of conflict for The Legend of Everfree. I do think, though, that the Sirens would make good episodic villains if the series ever became a series. Since the Sirens are so old, I always figured that they would have a secret lair somewhere full of loot, resources and supplies they've gathered over their long lives, with a throne for Adagio to appease her arrogance and sense of self-importance and power. I'd also be very interested in seeing the Sirens interact with the Shadowbolts, possibly manipulating them or taking them down a few pegs.

    Nah, I don't buy it. The problem with this reasoning is that you are to assume that Bronies only congregate in large numbers on "brony only" websites. I also am sceptical about your usage of the word "all" there at the start. Forgive me for my scepticism but I see people say they have the backing of many, many people who share their negative opinion all the time in order to give their argument false weight.(my opinion is the right one because it has the backing of millions of hypothetical fans, for example) I do keep seeing some very loud minorities online who insist they are the "purest, and most Brony of Bronies" who dislike it for all the wrong reasons or "just because". "Because it's just to sell toys" is not a valid criticism when you watch FiM, which was always about selling toys right from the start. I do accept the possibility that there are some legit complaints. Most of the people who give EqG Venom are the kind of people who s**t-post on /mlp/ on 4chan and spout the "no hooves" meme. The Brony fandom is, unfortunately, over-populated with such evil little horrors. You have my condolences for having to share a fandom with such people.

    I hope so, because the Equestria Girls Minis are adorable. I'd even consider buying Minis of background Humans I like the designs of, like Pixil Pezaz, Violet Blur, Mystery Mint, Orange Sherbet, Frosty Orange and Melon Mint. Custom Minis and doll making using pre-existing parts is also a thing, so the more style parts available through official toys, the more customs can also be made. You should see the custom Dazzlings, Cutie Mark Crusaders and Human Starlight Glimmer.

    That bedroom looks comfy as heck. I can't help but assume Twilight's family is kind of rich. A lot of that room's architecture looks custom specified. Take the book shelves for instance...

    Personally, I would like for there to be a Human Sunset Shimmer, but she should be completely different. Like say, she could still be in her mean/evil phase, but any attempts to change her fail, as she makes it clear that she chooses to be the way she is or it's just how she is. One of the things I want them to do with EqG is to explore emphasis that not everything is the same or directly parallel to Equestria. The worlds are very different and cause, effect, environment, circumstances and societal differences have shaped people in radically different ways. I could see Pony Sunset and Twilight studying and charting these differences as scientific/socio-dynamic experiments.

    The Pony and Human worlds are only parallel to each other, and are not copies. They share similarities but are not the same places, and are not filled with the same beings.

    I actually prefer her old design. The new one is a bit too girly, but it's mainly because of the green dress, and I would not object to Sunsetkeeping the jeans but swapping out the green dress for something that makes her look more badass, as I prefer that she look more like a bad girl. It's bad enough Applejack is wearing a skirt, but I feel some characters outfits don't match their personalities.

    I wouldn't be crying racism, but I prefer the colorful skin tones. We're all ready talking about a setting with magic and talking Ponies.
