If Starlight is going to be in it, will it be Human Glimmer or Pony Glimmer coming through the portal with Princess Twilight? I think it's time Princess Twilight made her return, I think it'd be kinda sad and a little cruel if they just cut her out of it when she was the one who started everything. I've always wanted to see the Pony counterparts come through the portal to see what the Human world is like, as well as to show us how the characters are different, rather than just how they are alike. Princess Twilight doing a study of the similarities and differences would be neat and very in character. I would like the Dazzlings to remain steadfast villains as well. The only way I'd accept their "rehab" is if it's at the end of the series, and I'd like to see Aria and Sonata rehab first, leaving Adagio on her own to be evil to further emphasize just how villainous and manipulative she is. I can only really see Sonata rehabilitating though, she's too ditzy to be evil on her own and seems like she's just sticking to her own kind because she'd be alone without them.

Equestria Girls meets KISS would be awesome.

Both relationships are just crushes, and somehow I think Flashlight has more substance because Flash actually did things to earn some mutual feelings. The only reason they made Timber and Human Sparkle a thing is because if it was Flash and Human Sparkle then we'd be going "b-but what about Princess Twilight?".

I'd like to see them sing this song when they finally have the Human and Pony counterparts finally meet. The song itself is clearly about Equestria and the Ponies, and it'd be neat if all of the characters sang alongside their counterparts.

But the fantastical elements are why I watch. I don't want a generic teen drama. The magic and mystery is what makes it interesting.

It's not low-budget but it is in fact a toy commercial series.

Is there a group somewhere which gets it's jollies by coming to the Equestria Girls board to say they don't like Equestria Girls and that they think it sucks? These threads keep happening. I've been to 4chan's /mlp/, I know these people exist. I know TheAnimatorOfficial does it. They're the same. They're done by the same studio. This is arguable and down to personal taste. Subjective. Define what makes something cringy. Why is EqG cringy and FiM is not? Are you aware one is about talking Ponies in magic land? Like magic? They have never explained how magic works in FiM either.

I thought it was more cute than erotic...

I'd appreciate any of the following. 1. Salvage the Homesick Shimmer sub-plot and the coffee shop scene with her and Princess Twilight. 2. More Princess Twilight and Equestria. Not a lot, but some. 3. Maybe have the main Pony cast come through the portal to see what the Human world is like. 4. Princess Twilight studying the differences between Equestria and the Human world. Just how much more advanced is the technology in the Human world? What things do Humans use technology for that Equestria uses magic for? 5. Princess Twilight spending time with Human Twilight. 6. Diamond Tiara with speaking role. 7. Locations outside of a school setting. 8. The Dazzlings. 9. Human world magic. Not Equestrian magic, magic native to the Human world. Possibly a source of study for Sunset and both Twilights with them comparing the two and learning how they are different. 10. More focus on fantasy and mythology. FiM all ready does the Greek mythology thing, I'd recommend Celtic mythology, Fae, Lychanthropes, etc... maybe some Vampire stuff at least once. 11. Hydia and Zecora as magic users and as rivals. 12. Resolve the stuff with Flash Sentry. 13. More glimpses at the personalities and lives of the Shadowbolts, particularly Sunny Flare and Lemon Zest. 14. We still don't know how Sunset Shimmer lives or what she did when she first arrived in the Human world. It would be nice to be able to see.

Well, it did turn out that the Dazzlings were cheating all along.

Mystery Mint has such a nice design, though I like Adagio Dazzle and Trixie Lulamoon more. Other background characters who I like though are Frosty Orange, Orange Sherbert, Blueberry Cake, Violet Blur, Pixel Pezaz and Cherry Crash when she isn't wearing her lipstick(which happens for a few frames during Friendship Games)

Seconding this. I think the lipstick ruins a lot of character designs in EqG, including the background characters. I've seen them(yes all of them) without the lipstick and they are vastly improved by it's absence.

The Sunset feeling homesick sub-plot is probably going to be the main plot of a movie. Might be the real reason they removed the scenes, they felt it would be better served as the main focus. Besides, it had Princess Twilight, so it'd be nice to do it in a movie where she is back, I miss her.

1. We still don't know how she lives or what she did when she first arrived in the Human world. 2. She still needs to reconcile her differences with Princess Celestia. 3. There was a removed sub-plot, song and scene(involving Sunset and Princess Twilight) which were removed from Friendship Games for Time Constraint reasons which brought up a sub-plot concerning Sunset feeling unfulfilled in the Human world because she misses her magical studies and adventuring(which she apparently did in Equestria). 4. They seem to have forgotten that she's not actually a native Human, but a migrant Pony from another world that is radically different from the world she is living in now. These are all things they need to get to work on, because otherwise Sunset Shimmer will waste her phenomenal potential and, as you said, stagnate.

As for Legend of Everfree, extra time devoted to Filthy Rich and actually giving Diamond Tiara speaking lines would have been nice.

I've always thought that Equestria Girls's biggest enemy was time, as in, not enough of it. Each film, with the exception of Rainbow Rocks(which had great pacing and screen-time sharing between the characters), would have benefited tremendously from an extra 10-20 minutes to give a bit more explination for things and to give some characters more time for characterization. Sunny Flare in FG only had a few lines and no characterization, while poor Lemon Zest only had a single line, though she did have a bit of characterization to her.

You think Rainbow Rocks is terrible but Legend of Everfree was better? Midnight Sparkle could have used some build-up. I'd have made it so that it was apparent that something dark and malevolent was forming throughout the movie, maybe something to do with the magic in her magic-catcher latching onto the negative emotions she was feeling, or perhaps having Midnight Sparkle actually be a creature that was forming inside her magic catcher, which eventually bonds with her for the finale.

The legal age system is a social construct anyway.

I think they should use Human Magic. It'd be a good story hook to keep going back to, and it will also be another way to make the Human world more unique. Ideally, it would be quite different from Equestria's magic, and looking into it's history, including where it went, why it hasn't been seen very much, how it works, etc... is something they could delve into.

But magic was the original, primary premise. Sci-Fi is something I'd like to see, but it shouldn't become the primary focus. It'd be like if MLP become about Dragons.

I agree to an extent. The tie to Equestria should always be present, it was the series' beginning, but I think they need to start focusing more on the Human world itself and what makes it different from Equestria. I for one really hope they reveal that type Human world DOES have it's own magic, it's just different, and therein lies the draw, it's NOT like Equestria, and that will be interesting to explore. The Everfree forest alone could holds all manner of secrets.

I prefer to think characters like Chrysalis, Discord, Sombra, etc... would remain supernatural entities except with a humanoid appearance. That is, Discord would still be a Chaos spirit, Chrysalis would still be a changeling, etc... an idea I had for Sombra would be that he is an infamous occultist and former king from a long time ago, those with magical knowledge(like Zecora) would know the truth, that he is still alive and preserving himself with dark magic and updating his persona every 100 years. One idea I had would be that the mansion of his last incarnation is still standing in the Everfree Forest, abandoned and full of mystery and dark secrets waiting to be discovered. If they ever made a series, something like that could be the focus of the occasional episode. I wonder who here has seen me bring up my fan-made ideas for the series before and am sick of me bringing them up.
