Okay, so day there was this preacher guy standing outside our main building on campus, and at first it wasn't that big of a deal. It was just an annoying, disrespectful, deceitful, bigot who was screaming at us college kids. Then I got this stupid idea.

This idea was partially inspired by these other kids who were standing up by him just trolling him. They were doing stupid harmless things like singing songs about how stupid this guy is, and 'preaching' about the moon Nazis coming back, stupid stuff like that.

At first what I did wasn't that harmful, I got up there and for a few minutes started 'preaching' the word of Notch and Minecraftia. It was harmless fun, and nothing happened for a few moments after that. Then I did something stupid.

Now, this guy wasn't responding to any of my trolls, or anyone else trolls, he had a thick skin, which I suppose you have to have if you going to be a bigot. So I started waving my hand in front of his face, he did nothing, then I got behind him and made a fake swing with an empty water bottle at the back of his head, luckily for me he didn't take a step back or anything. After the fake swing, I was like "crap that was really stupid, why did I do that, it could have ended badly..." sure enough, I was then pulled to the side by a cop.

The cop didn't want to arrest me or anything, he just wanted to inform me that I was walking a very fine line, he was very nice about it and I shook his hand afterwards, but I will not be doing anything like that again any time soon.

The thing about my mind is that it is constantly going back to situations like that and thinking "what if" like "What if I had accidentally hit him." I worry about stupid things like that, and now I just want to forget that I even did that. Oh well, I guess no one was hurt, and nothing went wrong... I just kind of needed to get that off of my chest I guess..

So recently I have been struggling in college, not because of work overload, not because of any type of physical problem, but because of a lack of motivation. For those who don't know I am currently going to college for a criminal justice major, but recently I have been questioning myself. I didn't know if this was my calling, if this is what I really wanted to do with my life.

you see, I have always loved using my voice for entertainment, and recently I have been attempting to get into casting video games. I have found that this is incredibly fun to do, and it is a potential career choice. Tonight my dad came into my room to discuss my current rate of study vs video gaming. During this conversation my dad started dropping hints that he thinks policing may not by my career of choice. We looked at a book which identified my personality, and careers that fit with my personality.

After about an hour we started looking at schools, schools that dealt with casting, we found some good ones near my home town, and now it seems as if this could be something I want to do with my life. It isn't as "impressive" as being a cop, or a lawyer, but it seems much more enjoyable, and I don't want to be stuck at a job that I hate.

Tomorrow I am going to do even more research about this potential career, hopefully it will work out, and I can be learning to do something I love. For anyone who reads this, I ask for your support, not through any physical means, but just through positive thoughts, and prayer (if you feel comfortable doing so). Thanks for letting me be part of the amazing community of wonderful people.

While looking at other blogs I have found that they aren't full recaps of days, more often they are just entertaining bits, so I think I may try this out... it seems to be more 'legit'.

I got up at 4:00 am this morning to go to work, like normal, got to work on time, like normal... then things got less normal. at around 7:00am all hell broke loose. You see, at this restaurant that I work, we use these monitors that display menu items, prices, and handle credit card interaction. They are all neatly packaged into a touch screen that is very simple and easy.

While I was using one of these monitors something strange happened. When I tried to pull up an order that was taken previously, I was given a message stating that there was a "connection error." As I clicked the "okay" button, the screen displayed the proper order and everything seemed to be okay, but as it happened, things were far from okay. I have to mention that this particular monitor was located in the drive through portion of the restaurant, therefor when things lock up, the line gets longer.

Anyway, I went to take the money from the customer, and entered it into the computer, but as I hit the button to open the register, I got another error stating "no available order for recall." it was at this point that I got very nervous. I called to one of my managers and got a key from them to open the register, and get the customer their change, fortunately I can do math, and this was no real big deal.

After the order was done with, we got on the phone with some tech support, I was a little unsettled by the fact that it still wasn't fixed, as I was the one responsible for making sure the customers were taken care of in the drive through. A couple minutes later, two more customers came to order, and unfortunately for me, the register was still being temperamental. As I was trying to get some paper and a pen to keep track of the payments, more and more people were lining up in the drive through.

I called for help and a manager came back and started taking orders while I tried to deal with the money issue, then someone came up with a credit card. Now, remember when I said these monitors handled interaction with credit cards? Yeah, put 2 and 2 together. Not being able to solve this problem, we began giving free meals to the customers who attempted to pay via credit, lucky them.

This whole unfortunate process went on for about an hour, and even after the monitor was fixed, we had to cycle through all the previous orders to get to any current ones, which took about two minutes for each order. During one particular order, the customer got frustrated and drove off, which caused a mix up with the food that was being handed out, which cause more unhappy customers to yell, and on occasion, curse at the ones serving them.

Needless to say, I won't complain about slow mornings at work any more.

Today was family picture day, and before that, it was annoying work day.

First, the work. I was called in at about 12:00 pm, it was just to cover someones shift, because they broke their ankle. Lunch hour was very slow, slower than usual, so my manager sent some people home early, this turned out to be a HUGE mistake.

At around 1:40pm, we got a really large rush of people, there was literally a line around the restaurant for our drive through, as well as a packed lobby. I was on the back cash register, which in my opinion is the worst position in the restaurant, and I had to handle taking money, taking orders, getting trays done, doing the dishes, and sweeping the floors... all while we were wrapped around the restaurant.

Why people would wait 10 minutes for a cheeseburger and some fries is beyond me, but that is besides the point, we were still wrapped around and busy at 4:00pm, which is when I left. Thankfully I had an excuse for not staying longer, which was family photos.

After I got home and changed, we headed down town to take some pictures, they turned out very good, and I am most pleased. We had some trouble getting one particular photo to turn out though. In this photo, my parents wanted a shot of all their kids jumping off the stairs of city hall, and lets just say co-ordination was a bit off. At one point my little sister got tired of jumping, and just sat down, after that was gave up trying to get that photo.

Here is a good picture that turned out (I am the one at the top of the stairs)

Well, this is my first blog... ever, so it will probably suck, but oh well. The main purpose of this blog is to detail my daily struggles and frustrations, as well as anything I want to talk about. It will most likely be updated pretty infrequently, although I will try to keep to updating it once a day, maybe every other day.

I guess this is the start: Today was a little boring, same old same old, got up at 4:00 am to go to work, got home at 11:00am, which was very nice, it gives me a lot of day to waste. Once I got home, I had some free time before I had to help a friend with an internet problem, so I watched some DotA 2 videos, and played minecraft.

At 1:00 pm I went down town to a new friends house, she had been having some problems with her internet, and she needed help. Although I tried my best, I couldn't figure out what the issue was. After about an hour I basically gave up. I told her to contact another friend of mine, who is a genius when it comes to this stuff, and went on my way.

This basically ends the interesting parts of my day, Thanks to those of you who read this. Tune in tomorrow for the continued adventures.
