  1. I'm glad to get feedback on this, since I noticed I wasn't alone in the "You can give these characters humanizing moments" camp. Especially considering the X-Men's Themes, characters and symbolism. X-Men has had some great comedy moments and also some rather terrible ones depending on the writer. I noticed when the movies had those moments of levity, it humanized the characters and gave them some depth. Which is why Storm was one of the worst ones in the films since she maybe had one scene like that in the entire franchise. It was my big complaint against Batman V Superman since it was just mostly Bombast and not a lot of small character moments other than the whole "Martha" thing. Thank you so much for watching though, that really means a lot. I'll be covering other things like this at points.
  2. Late Night Ponderings is a series of mini-editorials that covers a wide range of subjects. In this episode I discuss X-Men: Apocalypse's deleted scenes, and how stories could be improved by including the mundane and benign.
  3. Harambe. After being told that there was a petition going around to get Harambe into Pokemon , I was done. Even more so when someone requested me to write an article about it.
  4. See, I love to curl up with a good book and turn everything off for a while when I'm alone. I can live without internet depending on the company I'm keeping. However, the problem lies with the fact that for some reason I tend to attract people to me when I'm reading and they immediately decide to start talking to me. Now, I'm willing to listen to peoples problems and such, that's not the issue it's just when I'm reading that means I want to read, not talk. The difference is when I'm on the computer with an important looking document on it from the internet, people think I'm working, which they're right I'm writing the majority of the time, but sometimes I will just read the thing I was trying to read in my hands, online so people won't talk to me. Internet is important to me since as an academically minded individual, I find it's far easier to get scholarly papers online than it is from the Library since they don't always have the papers I need when I need them. I've ordered papers before and the Library is a big resource of mine but there are some more obscure resources that are easier to obtain on the internet. Not to mention I work on the internet and I do have friends on the internet that I value as comrades in arms. I wouldn't have gotten to know some people from my old graduating classes if it wasn't for the internet which has been a good thing and a bad thing. I also wouldn't be reaching as wide of an audience if it wasn't for the internet's influence on my articles, for good or for ill. The Internet is essential, not in the sense I need it like an addict but it's benefited me in other ways that I'm grateful for.
  5. Do they have to be famous Boxers or can it be someone you know of in your family?
  6. If I'm asked if I like MLP, I'll say yes but I usually don't go into too much detail. It's just a thing I like. I don't make videos about it or actively participate in the fandom because I'm not that big into fandom in general. Mostly since I like enjoying things in small groups, stalking about forums quietly, rather than enjoying it with a mass of strangers and I have an immediate cautious reaction to fandoms. The fact I'm on here is a testament to how much I value a friendship of the person who introduced me to this place. Not that I regret it since I've had a nice time on here overall. I should probably make an OC eventually.
  7. Cheese and Crackers am I bad at searching things on this site sometimes.

  8. I know it has, been following the production of it, but I'm not holding my breath for a release. Ubisoft is working on their other titles and they deliberately avoid questions about it all the time. Especially at this past E3.
  9. Quietly takes note of the games that are being mentioned for future reference in an article. Honestly, I'd like to see a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil, but I know it'll never happen since Ubisoft deemed it a failure. Even if the fault was partially their own for terrible marketing and a bad release date. I'd also like to see another .//hack series that's not incredibly rare in the west.
  10. True, this is very true. I was just thinking there might be a small chance that it might have one. Or I just want to see a Mermaid Arcanine, probably that. I know, but there's always room for fun variations in the Pokemon world. Arcanine is a sweeper in lower tiers so maybe just seeing a type variation would be nice, I'd be curious to see what Arcanine would be like as a water type Pokemon.
  11. That makes more sense, I was afraid GameFreak was going down the route I've seen a lot of studios go down lately with pre-order bonuses. I wonder if they'll do Alolan Arcanine, what does everyone think?
  12. Here's a question, when they say "Here's a special gift for purchasing early" Then they show Munchlax, do they mean a preorder bonus? Or is it just buying the game when it's released rather than years later?
  13. The Top Ten Best Games from 2015 You Might Have Heard Of is here. It was a long time coming but I’m glad that I’ve finally finished it. I was trying out a lot of new things with this list such as a new Microphone and some new editing techniques. I hope you find this video enjoyable or at the very least informative. I'd really appreciate any comments and feedback you can toss my way.
  14. Happy that my newest video is finally done and that the developers of the games are really enjoying it. Also exhausted because I've been working with my editor for 4 nights in a row and I think we almost passed out before finishing it.
  15. Thank you for the feedback, I didn't initially expect to get any here, so I'm glad I checked in on the post. I'm a naturally calm person so I try to convey an easy going even tone in my reviews, but I will put more energy in future reviews, since this one just tired me out recording wise. This was a hard game to review and I tried to be constructive but there was very little to praise and that takes it out of me, because even in my previous "Worst Games List" I had something positive to say about the majority of those games. This, barely enough to fill up a paragraph, all that footage is my own by the way so I played even more to capture the footage for the video. In the future I'll have a bit more energy in my reviews, this is just sort of a test run (Which was effective judging by the comment thread from the developer that happened which was later deleted by him where he was incredibly angry at me), since I'll be playing some wonderful titles that don't drain my soul. Thank you so much for watching!
  16. The only way MLP would get cancelled is for one of two reasons, judging by the most recent trend in television. 1. If MLP falls too fast in ratings then they may consider to be on the chopping block to be cancelled, which is why it's important to watch the episodes on Air or through something like Hulu or the like. As long as people are watching it, MLP will be considered profitable. 2.People don't buy merchandise. Merchandise, this is Hasbro after all and supporting the show means buying the official merchandise on occasion. Such as DVD sets, books, toys, or just silly novelty stuff. Even if you don't necessarily want it, buy to support the show and if you really don't want it, give it to another member of the fandom or charity. Toys for Tots always has a huge request for MLP toys and they're the most loved toys at local shelters. Buying some new ones would make peoples days. Shows don't get cancelled for something like a bad episode, there are entire arcs in certain shows that are considered awful and yet they weren't cancelled. I don't think there needs to be any fear that MLP will be cancelled as long as the show is continuously supported by the public.
  17. Oh dear, I managed to make a developer angry enough that he questioned my character before deleting his comments. Interesting.

  18. Well, I just wrote an article that'll make my fellow Game Journalists mad, this'll be interesting.

As soon as it gets approved that is, if it gets approved. It's going to end up as a video even if it doesn't get approved about the staff.

  19. Yeah, as a woman, I wouldn't have been treated too kindly back then. Add into the fact that I'm a minority despite not looking like one, I don't like my odds for living in the 1800's. I might as well put a target on my back. Now, to visit, sure, I'd love to study some of their culture and mannerisms, maybe meeting someone like Emily Dickenson or Edgar Allen Poe, maybe even meeting a young H.P. Lovecraft. Visiting would be an enlightening experience I think, but living there, certainly not.
  20. I'm surprised no one has made a Gabe Jacket yet.
  21. I am a member of the glorious PC gaming master race because most of the reviews I do are on there and it's just overall easier to be a PC gamer in this market. That and it makes video making easier on me. I'm happy to be a part of this cool kids clubs, do we get matching jackets?
  22. Yeah, but they'd have to be able to make their money back from using the liscence, paying the voice actors, the employees and actually developing the game itself. Sure, people will buy it but it may not be enough to recup the losses. Sorry if I'm being a negative nancy about all this, but I talk to developers all the time that have this exact issue and they're not even using a liscened property.
  23. I'd actually be completely fine if there wasn't an MLP:FIM game. Perhaps this is just the game reviewer in me talking, but from past experiences, I don't know how they'd be able to make it work. Perhaps making it visual novel style but even that seems a little like a stretch. It'll really have to depend on the developer and the publisher, but to be completely frank, I don't want to review a bad MLP game. Especially not in a way that'd appeal to gamers as well as Bronies. I know a lot of gamers are bronies, but at the same time, would they really be able to make their money back for a game like this?
  24. I think Pokemon Go is a fine game, even with all the strange issues, it's causing. It's good to see the gaming community united in a way over their love for it. I have a lot of thoughts on the app as a whole, especially in regards to the occasional tribalism I see pop up on the internet, but I may write a long winded editorial about that later. Also has anyone linked articles about Wrinkles the Clown or the Veterans who got in the fights with the Pokemon Go Players? I'll link the articles if you haven't. Veteran's get into confrontation with Pokemon Go Players. and Wrinkles the Clown Stalks Pokemon Go players in Florida.
  25. I was coming in here to say something similar, but you beat me to it. I don't see any issue with the rating system other than the fact they occasionally rate LBGT themes higher, like when a Woman kisses another woman like they did with the film "The Hours" that netted the film a higher rating for "Sexual content" and "Thematic Elements" stateside. Other than things like that though, the issue lies more in the industry than it does in the rating system itself. Directors will edit down films in order to get them to fit in a certain rating rather, which makes the film suffer for it as a whole. Which is rather disappointing when you realize that you can often find a film's potential lying on the cutting room floor or during deleted scenes. Test audiences can be even worse in that regards, but I don't want to get off topic.
