  1. That's good to hear.  It's terrible when songs or videos just disappear without a trace.   There are a number of videos in my YouTube playlist that aren't available anymore that I wish I had saved but you just never know what's going to disappear.

  2. Everyone is so busy and so focused on their own tasks in their own little own world.  You will only see each person in the city once in your life for at most 5 seconds until you pass them.  No one will say anything.

    Do it.

That actually makes sense if you live in a town like that one from Shawn of the Dead

  3. Amazing how many good composers there are in the fandom.

@ XxApplejackxX  "I'm not really into remixes"  While I understand how you might not care for them I tend to think of them as essential for one reason.  Although Daniel Ingram is a talented composer it seems like they often have some talentless hack doing the arrangements on particular numbers that render the final finished products as less than they should be.  Why did AssertiveFluttershy have to perfect 'Babs Seed'?  That version is a top of the charts pop song.

Most of the artists whom I like have already been mentioned so I'll give credit to one nobody has mentioned.  I absolutely loved the original 'Derpalicious' by DerpyDerp910.  Unfortunately the only version of it online right now is here:

@ Soundgarden  I second the motion..

  4. I'm perfectly fine with Beerus.  I particularly like his design.  I just do not see why the people who are managing the show have to ret-con his existence into the existing backstory rather than just have him awake after 2 billion years and have everyone suddenly have to deal with him for the first time.  The writing is just uneven.  There's a perpetual tendency to relieve any tension that's building up and trivialize the threat which is a major annoyance.  Freezer's menace just grew for dozens of episodes in the original series along with the body count.  The folks writing this show obviously don't care for that sort of thing it seems

  5. Reality TV started me writing because TV became so bad that even stuff I came up with was better.

Besides that, I tend to be inspired as most fans are, seeing things that I think would be neat to see.

Crossovers are a Cheap & Creatively Lazy Easy source of inspiration

Sometimes it's nothing more than watching a blown opportunity to do something good in an episode of a series and thinking about how it could have been done right.

  6. I liked Paul Winchell, the original inventor of the artificial heart.  Frank Welker is also great.  As far as US TV shows go I thought the cast of Transformers Prime did the best job of any cast ever.

  7. As someone who is both sympathetic of as well as caustically disillusioned by the fandom I can tell you that you don't have to intentionally infiltrate to be on both sides and see the point of view of the other side.  As someone who has been an objective observer from the beginning I can tell you that some of the harshest critics as well as staunchest supporters of the brony fandom are members of the fandom that they most closely resemble which is the Furry fandom.  Many furries are also Bronies.  However, it is also convenient for Furries who are aware of the fact that they are considered the cleveland of organized fandom in general to represent  the Brony community as Fandom's Detroit.  Just look at that bogus 'Bronies' documentary,

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWRPNLrrzSc

obviously a product of some renegade furries.  I can also sympathize with those that would say that this Brony community is at least partly to blame for this situation.  Very early on whenI began contacting Bronies about their interest in the show they took great pains to disassociate themselves from furries and their fandom in general which is fine.  However, once parts of the fandom began copying the worst aspects of the furry fandom and others began defending their fandom by blaming the excesses on furries within their fandom the stage was set for certain hilarity drama

  8. Writing for me is always a purely organic creative process.  For some reason my mind tends to fix onto dramatic scenes, sometimes beginnings of stories and almost always on the endings.  Just last night and this afternoon I had abunch of Ideas relating to an MLP/Planet of the Apes crossover story explode into my head like a bag of microwave popcorn.  This was owing to my recent contemplations of Equestria as residing within the Hollow Earth.  All I got are a few really neat scenes including a couple hysterical 'mutant' scenes but just fragments consisting of specific scenes:  The beginning and end of the story, the basic storyline and conflicts and the general tone:  first half: MLP second half:  Planet of the Apes.  I'd like to write them down but I don't type very fast unfortunately.

  9. I've been a YouTuber since 2007 when I started my non-fiction channel.

A couple of years later I decided I needed a channel just for having fun and creating mixes and so in the spirit of fair use I launched my channel on New Years Day 2010 which was 9 months before G4 premiered.  As it so happened I created the following background image to represent the 3 principals of Crime Communism and Faggotry that the channel was created for:

My first awareness with the Brony Fandom came a few months after the show had premiered and I began to notice the YouTube channels and videos being devoted to the show.  I was surprised at the focus.  Then I began seeing some of the better videos that began to be posted and I had to admit that whatever the merits or failings of the show I had never before ever seen a show that inspired such a range and quality of creative video output like this Ever
