It was nice being able to see Spike with Gabby. She seems like she treats Spike way better than Rarity. It also kind of showed how little Rarity really cared about the way Spike felt. Another part that made cringe a lot was when Rarity pretended to care about D&D just to get Spike to spend time with her instead of Gabby. I've seen people pull stunts like that before in the past. Gabby is the friend/ship that Spike deserves in my opinion.

This episode was awesome. I would make good friends with Spike and Gabby. I also come from a place with very unfriendly individuals.

So think of it like this. To understand Cadence we must first understand what "love" is. "Love" is a form of energy and/or magic that seems to be conjurable by certain entities in the world of ponies. Not too much is explained about what "love" is, but with some guessing it's mostly just an energy that is created by other ponies then is transferred and stored within a rock called the Crystal Heart. The energy is then somehow processed within this artifact to create a barrier around the Crystal Empire that wards off entities that don't possess "love" energy. Every pony seems to produce a small amount of this energy when they feel more upbeat. Another way to better explain this is how when we humans breathe oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide, plants then absorb the carbon dioxide and produce more oxygen. So let's think of this "love" energy more like that. Crystal ponies make this "love" energy which is absorbed into the Crystal Heart then it is dispensed into a "barrier" energy which I believe the crystal ponies also absorb into themselves by becoming crystal like then dispensing that energy which is of course "love" energy and so on and so forth. So what does all this have to do with Cadence? Her magic and alicorn powers seem to be able to react to and make use of the "love" energy in some way. This can seem more complicated than one would think, but it is actually much more simple than that. She's not able to create more "love" energy, just simply manipulate it when it's around her. There might also be some sort of link between Cadence and the Crystal Heart artifice as she and Shining Armor were able to explode the changelings out of Canterlot in a similar manner to how King Sombra exploded in the Crystal Empire. So to better explain this, Cadence seems to simply be a living version of the Crystal Heart artifact. Being that she can store the "love" energy into her horn and then unleash it as a powerful attack against those that are evil or made of a form of evil or dark energy if you will. In conclusion, Cadence is not "love" as much as she is able to take energy which is known as love and use it to dispense evil entities from their world. Also, that love is just a source of energy or "power" used to fuel certain weapons which are used to defend Equestria.

So far I've got nothing to complain about. S8 is doing great so far.

I'd have to say it's a tie between Yona and Silverstream. Yona is really but Silverstream is adorable.
