"Well, first, I just wanted to tell you that I'm relieved you're okay. After you magically disappeared, I was...well, to say the least, VERY worried. You're pretty much my only friend on the ship. Everyone else either sees me as a nuisance or a selfish authoritative figure. Flame's nice enough, but he's got Crystal for a marefriend, and I honestly have no one else to look to." Lightning sighed and looked into Sapphire's eyes. "It's one problem after another after another. First, air problems, then, Cyril pretty much started a mutiny, then, near death by star, and now... we have a pony giving us a bogus story about dangerous gates and potential injuries. What are we gonna do?" He buried his face in his hooves.

"Oh, thank Celestia he's gone!" @Mentis Soliloquy, He turned to look at Sapphire. So beautiful... he thought. "Okay dear. After we've got everyone into rooms, we need to talk. Something's fishy about that Mel, and I'm not liking it." He turned to the rest of the ponies. "If I may have your attention? If you've already found a room, please go there now. If you have not chosen a room, or are injured, please talk to me or Sapphire. We will help you as fast as possible." He whispered to Sapphire, "Man, I sound like somepony from customer service, huh?"

This guy gets more and more suspicious. Why the hell would he be putting that as a condition? And injury via gate?! Gimme a break! He's hiding something. Better stay quiet for now. @Child Of Darkness and @Mentis Soliloquy, "You should try the observation deck first. If he isn't there, try Engineering. And he isn't present in either, he'll be roaming around the corridors or in his room. He's had a rough experience. His VI got destroyed. By what, I don't know. Yet. But, like I said, tell him to come back here to the gate room, and you should come back as well. Drag him back here, if you have to. If he asks who sent you, tell him Lightning and Sapphire did. I'd really appreciate it." (@The Original, better get ready!)

I am a happy user of Linux Mint 17.3 on my Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14! This OS literally saved my laptop from imminent replacement. My comp kept overheating with WIndows, and even after applying new thermal paste to the CPU, it still crashed a lot. I installed Mint, and I'm HAPPEE!!! I love FOSS and now, I run MInt with a Windows 10 VM inside, for whenever I need Office! (And for you LibreOffice-ers out there, I know what you'll say. But I use headers a lot, and the formatting in Word is easier. Sorry 'bout that guys!) Anyone wanting to talk Linux or Windows can shoot me a PM (and friend me, if you want! )

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Mel. I'm Lightning Spark. You can just call me Lightning." He shook Mel's hoof. "Now, I need you to do me a favor. I need you to look for a pony named Cyril. Once you've found him, please come back here with him, okay?" Please say yes. PLEASE just go! He thought.

"Did this AI look like a floating robot or something of the like? Also, what's your name, son?" Seems like an inquisitive fellow. Hopefully, he doesn't turn out to be like Cyril. One power-crazed lunatic is more than enough to last us a lifetime of political madness.

Lightning turned to look at the pony who was addressing everyone. He also recognized him as another of the newcomers. "We appreciate the concern, buddy. Thanks for bringing that up. Might I ask who sent you with those orders? Or was this of your own initiative?" That one's not telling the full story, he thought.

"You're absolutely right Solar." He noticed Amber sneak off. Hmm, suspicious. Then he saw Solar speed off. Oh well. Solar can deal with anything concerning Amber. It's probably not serious. @Ethan Sawyer and @Mentis Soliloquy, He turned to Scarlett and Sapphire. "See? Was I right or WAS I RIGHT? You're the one with the most experience in dealing with any situation, no matter the odds. No one else on this ship can claim that. There's a born leader in you, Scarlett. I can see it. Solar can see it. Everyone else sees it. So why can't you?"

I was operating a forklift in a lamp warehouse when I bumped into one of the racks. The whole rack and all the others came crashing down. I wasn't fired; the whole thing was blamed on the fact that we were using forklifts in a lamp warehouse.

Why is Scarlett so dad-gum humble? he thought. I could take a cue from her on that. "I'm pretty sure Solar would disagree completely with your analysis of who you are. In fact, if you won't take my word for it, take your daughter's." @Unicorncob, Lightning turned to Solar and asked, "Hey Solar, who do you think is most prepared to lead us? Me or your mom?"

When Lightning noticed that everyone ignored him, he was confused. That's weird, he thought. Oh well. Maybe later, I'll be able to talk to them. He decided to go back to the gate room. Might as well make myself useful. Scarlett will probably want help with the newcomers. When he got to the gate room, he noticed that Scarlett and Sapphire were conversing. He caught these words: He immediately jumped in. "Sapphire's right. The best leaders are always the humblest. And I should know. Sometimes I'm so ambitious, people just see me as a power-mad lunatic." He chuckled a bit at the thought. "Everyone on this ship, from Sapphire, to Solar and Amber, to Flame, and even to Cyril, we see you as our leader. Your knowledge and experience are what has kept us alive. It's high time you recognized that."

Each Halo game as a movie. It would make for a kewl series of movies and we could delve deeper into lore than in the games. Although, it's hard to pick between live-action or CGI (I like CGI more, especially after H5:G's cinematic cutscenes)

@Mentis Soliloquy and , Lightning finally found Sapphire and Flame, simultaneously recognizing the other pony as one of the newbies. "Hey Sapphire. I heard that Flame broke some ribs. How's he doing? And also, what happened with Amber? I heard something 'bout an injury. " It's always a new problem, EVERY DAMN TIME! he thought. Hopefully, the situation will stabilize soon, since we'll probably be stuck here for the rest of our lives.

Lightning waited out the rumbling and, once it subsided, he continued his search for armament. Then, he saw the gate dialing. The buck? He thought. He saw another Scarlett and a dozen other ponies come out. What the buck? First, Scarlett tuns out to be Solar's mom, now we have ANOTHER Scarlett?! "What in Tartarus is going on here?!" No one paid heed to his inquiry. He tried to interject, but no one listened. This almost pushed him to a boiling point (he has a short temper when people ignore him). But, after hearing the conversations going on, he understood better what was happening. He then continued to look for weaponry, when he found a crate with some P90s, P250s, and ammo for both. He took one of each and some ammo for Sapphire. I guess I'll go make sure that Flame and Bass are okay. And he went off in search of them.

@Mentis Soliloquy, Lightning had reached the gate room and was looking for some guns and ammo for Sapphire and Cyril when the ship suddenly lurched. "WHOA! THE BUCK?!" Scarlett's estimate was WAY off!, he thought. He shouted into his headset, "Everyone STAY DOWN! We're currently heading around the star!" When he saw Sapphire and heard her question, he immediately answered, "It's the star, Sapphire! We're heading around it!"

"Well, this," Lightning said while holding up the chip, "this holds the recording of what happened to Mir. I'm gonna take a look." He plugged the chip into a port on his backpack. He fast-forwarded until he heard a metallic voice speaking. He watched until the beam came. "Sweet Celestia....what is that? Tuesday, analysis." "It seems to be a beam of sorts, sir, possibly caused by a laser or an electric surge." "So the ship zapped Mir and vaporised her. I don't know about this. But it's worth investigating. , @The Original, "Sapphire, I need you to get your battle armor. You and Cyril should meet me at the gate room." Lightning raced off to his room. This is a potentially hazardous situation. Better load up. He placed a few magazines for his Magnum and rifle in his pack. @Ethan Sawyer, Lightning radioed Scarlett. "Scarlett, MIRVI just got blasted to pieces. By what or who, we don't know. Me, Sapphire, and Cyril are going to investigate."

"Wait, what do you mean 'the ship took her from you'?" He followed Cyril and noticed a memory data chip. "Cyril, if you don't mind, I'd like to take a look at the recording of what happened. I'm kinda worried now." He grabbed the memory chip from the air. "Unless, of course, you don't want me to see anything because it's too personal."

"Let's go after him," he said to Sapphire (). Lightning raced after him. After a while, he lost him. Where in Tartarus could that politician have gone to? He eventually bumped into Cyril. @The Original, "Oof!" He opened his eyes to see a jumble of pieces floating due to Cyril's magic. "What...what's that?" He pointed to the pieces.

@The Original, Lightning looked at Cyril, then back at Sapphire, then back to Cyril again. "How did you...I can't even...You melted them?! Why would you melt them?!" He looked into Sapphire's beautiful eyes. "Why did he melt them? What was he doing that led him to do something so...so illogical?"

"Sounds good to me!" Lightning thought for a moment. "Wait. Where are you? I thought you were at Engineering still." Where is she? Meh, probably exploring the ship. Can't be mad at that. We'll need to learn everything about this ship as soon as we can. , He walked up to Sapphire, and put his hoof on her shoulder. "Sapphire, dear, please calm down and tell me what happened."

Lightning heard this in his earpiece. "Well, right now, I'm looking at a pool of what seems to be copper, steel, and plastic, and Sapphire's screaming her head off about Cyril wrecking something. I'm pretty sure that those are our radios, or what's left of 'em, anyway." @The Original, He looked at Cyril. "What just happened?"

Halo 5: Guardians Soundtrack (especially the Halo Canticles, Light is Green, and Blue Team tracks). The orchestral music is AMAZING! Also, Portal 2 OST and every Mario game in existence.

"Well, since I'm OBVIOUSLY not needed here, I'm gonna go see how Cyril and Sapphire are doing while you two help Flame and Crystal with securing all the crates and supplies in the gate room." Lightning raced off to find Cyril and Sapphire. "I HEARD THAT!" Lightning called back. @The Original, , Lightning talked into his microphone. "Sapphire, Cyril, where are you guys?" All he got was static. That's weird. He found them in a corridor and saw the pool of cooled metal. "Guys, what's this?"
