A masterpiece of edginess.  I do honestly really like this song, bat ponies still do not get enough attention. 

I don't really trust water straight out of the faucet. When I drink water at home, I drink the water from my fridge's filter. 

My opinion on bronies has never really changed since I first became one back in 2011, I've always believed that this fandom can do good and bad for others. There are definitely some warped people in this fandom and it always saddens me immensely when I read about odious actions committed by people who were fans of MLP, but every fandom is going to have toxic, crazy people.

Opaline actually did all of these things. She tried to steal all of the magic in Equestria, forced dragons to become her minions, brainwashed Misty into becoming her follower, and tried to do the same with Sunny. We also already have the Changelings for creatures that can change into someone's form.

Don't care what anyone else says, Zelda II is a fantastic departure from the rest of the series. Final Fantasy II is another insanely underrated gem of a departure from the rest of the series, and FFVIII and FFX are also stellar despite feeling different from the rest of the franchise. However, I think the best examples of good series departures are easily Resident Evil 4 and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. There's a reason why "every RE game had to be like 4" and "every Castlevania game had to be like SOTN" ever since those games were released.

This was a decent episode, reminded me of Lavarynth, only it put the ponies in an RPG setting. It's also reminiscent of the FiM episode, Dungeons and Discord, where Big Mac and Spike were put inside their role-playing game. Not many jokes, but I do like when the ponies get to go on adventures. Intriguing too how they made Hitch a royal. And what was with that headband? Was he supposed to be a half-breed of some kind?

If they can't even visit Comet, how can we expect them to make good on that promise to visit Zantorp? 

G5's quality compared to other non-pony cartoons of today is pretty high. While we do get the occasional jewel like Bluey...people need to be real and admit that we can do better than Bluey.  I'm serious, even if I didn't like G5, I'd be saying that. When people act like we're getting all these great kid's cartoons today to spite G5, they always bring up Bluey and the once in a blue moon good modern Disney Channel show that ended after two or three seasons...and that's about it. We still have nothing coming close to topping the original Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Yes, but they do not need greed to grow. Keep in mind that MLP's all about teaching morals and life lessons, they were showing that it was a bad thing how Spike was growing from the greed.

It is never said in FiM that dragons need greed to grow. They look the way they do in G5 as a result of their magical hibernation.

Unfortunately, that's not how it works. According to the marketing slides from last year, there are only three more specials planned for this year.

Still remember when I honestly loved this back when it was new. I was a different person then.  Granted, I can still really enjoy dark and mature MLP fan content done right, but I've gladly outgrown my gross fascination with it. Crazy how videos like this are still being made, the worst one yet is easily Diamonds HD. Even back in the day...that would've made me go, "Wtf?".  

It's obviously true that this forum has lost activity with the general decline of interest in forums, this place will never be as active as it was back in 2012. However, compared to what it was like back in 2020, the year this topic was made, I see no significant difference. People are still coming on every day and there are always people talking about the new G5 episodes. 

We are still getting new G5 merch and there is definitely excitement for Season 2 of TYT. The new episodes have been pulling in very good views, far more consistent viewership than the time certain episodes from Season 1 would be sitting at well less than 100K views for months and months on end, and the new special got a lot of people talking about the show. The release schedule for Season 2 has certainly been perplexing and I would like more G5 merch, but it's just that everything has been crazy lately with the market being more unstable than ever. 

What do you guys feel about the odd way new episodes from the second season of Tell Your Tale have been released? Although I never expected them to fully follow through with releasing a new episode every week, there's something about the way the content has been coming out that has been having me...confused. First, we had our first ever delayed English release for The Lone Alicorn, then our first week with no new S2 episode even as two Easter episodes were privately posted on the TYT official channel's Season 2 playlist simultaneously, then the show abruptly went on hiatus for three weeks before releasing its first special that was originally intended to be released in March, and now, we have no new episode this Thursday despite a grand total of nine unavailable videos being added to the Season 2 playlist. Unavailable videos being added to said playlist is usually an indication that new episodes are ready to be uploaded, so the need to delay a release of a new episode for a week puzzles me.

Bunnisi Beauties being uploaded twice was just a one-time mistake, there are no dupe uploads on the Season 1 playlist. Normally, a little bit of time before a new TYT episode is released, you can see that there's an unavailable video hidden. Recently, however, we've been seeing not just one or two, but three, eight, and now nine unavailable videos hidden. They are clearly finished episodes that have not been released.

I literally just saw the amount of unavailable videos on the Tell Your Tale Season 2 playlist for the official TYT channel jump from eight to nine overnight. The episodes are clearly already finished, they just have the most bizarre way of releasing them.

So yeah, I've never been a fan of the whole "The Evil 3 should be reformed!" thing...

...and to me, this is a brilliant explanation as to why them being reformed would not work. Oh yeah, and fun fact, Jim Miller wanted to imply that Cozy Glow was a murderer with the skull she was holding. 

This was a very good first special from TYT! Easily the strongest Izzy-focused plot we've been given yet, world exploration, great songs, seaponies, Allura and Twitch, a moment showing us that Allura actually cares about Twitch, a very pleasant surprise, and a wholesome ending. Only things I didn't like were Sparky blowing raspberries and...um...

Episodes Since Comet's Last Appearance: 10

Yeah, this was the biggest slap in the face the guy's gotten yet. Not because they went out of their way to include Starlight Ridge and an Auroricorn but not him. No, it's worse. If Allura and Twitch are trapped in Equestria forever now with the Nova Charm being gone...so is Comet. And he's not even acknowledged. That's just...wrong. 

I'm glad to have seaponies in the show now, but most of all, I'm glad to finally know about something that's going on with TYT. I noticed that the first issue of Set Your Sail comes out next week...don't tell me that the reason for the delay...was because they wanted the special released in close conjunction with the comic book.

I did look this up and I saw that this has been reported to be the case, thus my initial comment was edited. Still, it's lame how we never get told anything when they have official social media accounts for MLP.

To be fair, it does say right there that "rollout plans are subject to change", so I wouldn't describe their plans as "having failed". That aside, I'm not going to defend them abruptly ghosting us on TYT in the month where it is supposed to be getting its first special, their inability to communicate anything with us is absurd. Nothing hard about just having someone running an MLP social media account keep us updated every now and then. 

Yup, I will be getting this when it's released. I wasn't too hot on the swap premise at first with it being done to death (G5 already had a "sequel" to FiM's A Royal Problem with MYM's The Cutie Mark Mix-Up), but I've heard that the story of this part of the comics is really well-done and there's no way I'm passing up getting the end of the main series. 

Um...pretty much every night.  My brain clock is one evil little bugger though, likes not letting me sleep, even at times when I honestly do want to turn in. Unfortunately, that also includes times when I'm coming home from an exhausting night shift. 

We're getting more G5 toys from Just Play, the entire cast of the Mane 5!

Yes, Mane 5, not Mane 6. Misty's been left out for a stupid reason.  We will be getting Hitch though!  I never like when Hitch is left out either.

According to a release schedule for upcoming projects being shown by Universal Pictures, My Little Pony: A New Generation will be re-released. 

Would you see the movie again in theaters? Although I'm quite displeased with what has come out about the original voice actor for Hitch lately (the details will not be disclosed or discussed in this thread for obvious reasons, the information about the unfortunate recent revelation about James Marsden is readily available online if you wish to know) and would be in support of a redubbing despite the unlikelihood of that happening, I'd like to watch the movie on the big screen as someone who was disappointed back in the day at not being able to watch it in theaters.
