Yikes. I never saw this coming, but Discovery Family is bringing back the Equestria Girls for a whole week. This means that they still have the broadcasting rights for all the movies and specials all along despite not airing them since June.
More of the schedule can be found here:

Look under "Monday, Nov 25".

Hasbro's revenue for Q4 2023 to Q3 2024 has dropped to $4,322,000,000.
If the company earns less than $969,000,000 in revenue for Q4 2024, it will be an all-time record low since before October 2009.

Everyone can celebrate My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's 14th anniversary for all I care, but I'll still continue to feel miserable. WHY??? Because -- the show has stayed on live TV for too long already, and I want it to go. And besides, it's broken a lot of records compared to a couple of other shows I was a fan of in the last 18 years.
For instance, Kirby: Right Back at Ya! first aired on FOX on September 14, 2002, lasted for four seasons through 2006, and briefly aired on CW Network in its final year with 4Kids Entertainment. According to the company's annual report, all television broadcast and home video rights to the animated series featuring Nintendo’s Kirby character was under contract through September 2009, when the last rerun occurred with "Fright to the Finish" that month.
Sonic X first aired on FOX on August 23, 2003, and lasted for three seasons through 2006. Like Kirby, it later transferred to CW Network in 2009, but unlike that show, it lasted much longer on that channel, even after the time when 4Kids Entertainment filed for bankruptcy in 2012. In fact, the show was sold to Saban Brands that year, and continued airing for another two more years from there, under a new brand name called "Vortexx".
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic first aired on October 10, 2010 on the Hub Network, and lasted for nine seasons through 2019. While the show was a huge success, Hasbro's joint venture with Discovery, Inc. eventually became ugly. As of November 15, 2021, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's lifespan on The Hub and Discovery Family combined has officially outlived Sonic X's time on live television, and we were just one year away from the time when something had to happen to Hasbro's remaining 40% ownership in the network. But alas, nothing happened, with absolutely no announcements whatsoever since "Hasbro Mulls Whether to Offload Discovery Family Channel Stake" in February 2022, and the two owners of the network decided to just further amend the agreement by extending the option exercise window through between January 31 and March 31, 2025. As a result, this would allow MLP to continue airing on DFC for another 2 1/4 years, thus outliving even more shows on cable television, and by now, pretty much every show that ever aired on Discovery Kids, The Hub and Discovery Family combined since 1996!
Seriously, I want all of MLP out of Discovery Family within the next five months. It does not belong on that channel any longer. And besides, its lifespan on television, as of today, is:
- Already twice as long as Kirby: Right Back at Ya!'s
- Even longer than any show that aired on Sprout and Universal Kids combined (the longest on there was Caillou, at 13 1/2 years)
And, of course:
- HALF of DFC's entire lifespan!
If anyone has any non-stupid ideas as to why DFC is deliberately refusing to let go of their television broadcast rights for My Little Pony (they did stop airing Pony Life in 2023 and all Equestria Girls media 3-6 months ago, but still won't let go of the rights to either series), write them in the comments.
