1. 2023 has been the worst year for My Little Pony fans. The worst ever! Aside from all the Make Your Mark episodes on Netflix and Tell Your Tale on YouTube, we did not get much at all of anything else. All we got at all worldwide were the Korean dub of Friendship is Magic's final season, and Portugal finally getting Season 7 of FiM, Rainbow Roadtrip, and Pony Life. That is it -- nothing else. Which means all the 2019 Equestria Girls specials and Rainbow Roadtrip still remain banned in many countries including most of Northern and Western Europe and especially Turkey, the latter who has also banned the Disney movies Lightyear and Strange World. Another piece of awful news this year is that no new digital home media releases occurred for the first time within an entire calendar year in My Little Pony history, for this generation or G5, with the New Generation movie being the last new release in April 2022. I checked iTunes, Amazon Video, and every other digital media store, and found absolutely nothing new! Which means you have to continue spending a buttload of money on Netflix to see one of the two series, and it's still downright illegal for streaming services and media stores to distribute Rainbow Roadtrip or the Friendship is Forever miniseries in the United States. It's all because of one thing: Hasbro's force on its ownership with Discovery Family. I'm betting that right before the contract was previously set to expire by the end of 2021, in addition to extending it to 2025, they put an extreme amount of force into their ownership, which is what caused the show to be removed from Netflix instead of that other network, and eventually resulting in the entire My Little Pony library to return to DF without warning (including every season and episode that was previously taken out of circulation within the last few years), and all remaining Hasbro-owned programming (including My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) to now be the absolute oldest shows still airing there, even despite the shutdowns of the Discovery Family GO! app and the channel's official website. Which means you have to continue subscribing to cable (which will cost you a lot more than even Premium Netflix today) to see the show again, and I know none of you guys want to do that, and nor do I. Of course, Pony Life was removed from both Hulu and Discovery Family in 2023, leaving only Season 9 of Friendship is Magic still on Hulu, but despite the show's removal, Discovery Family still owns the rights to it, meaning that no streaming service can acquire it now until the rights expire, likely because of the way Hasbro forced their shows to stay on DF, even if the channel refuses to air them. I'm really hoping 2024 will be much better than this year was. On that marketing slide, where it says "Episodes will live on Netflix throughout 2024", it's basically a friendly way of saying, "You're getting nothing new this year!" Besides, Hasbro Entertainment really needs do something about all of its content, rather than just solely focus on the new stuff like Season 2 of Tell Your Tale.
2. Someone please lock this topic. Pretty much everything is now on KiDoodleTV; therefore this topic is no longer needed.
3. I was wondering, what will happen if you upload the exact same video you already have on your YouTube channel a second time on the exact same channel? I want to know this because I've seen the official My Little Pony channel reuploading a bunch of their exact same videos multiple times on their same channel.
4. My hopes are that until the contract with Discovery Family is up, the show should air again if the channel reduces Friendship is Magic by 30 minutes every weekday. Besides, FiM's weekday schedule has remained completely unchanged for over a year, and it airs 5 TIMES every weekday afternoon.
5. It's all because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine that kids are not seeing Make Your Mark or Tell Your Tale in Russian. For them to get released, the invasion will have to end, which I expect to see happen by October 31, 2024, since it's been that much time at maximum when teaching and speaking of Korean was once forbidden in Japanese Korea from January 1943 to September 1945.
6. But like I said, most of the official YouTube channels for My Little Pony aren't uploading any Equestria Girls specials there. Which means still no Spring Breakdown, Sunset's Backstage Pass, Holidays Unwrapped, or Rainbow Roadtrip for the kids from most of those countries, and you know that all the MLP YouTube channels are "made for kids".
7. I strongly agree with you and Twilight's reaction. But the only way MLP (G4) and EG can go back to streaming is for the now evil Discovery Family's contract with Hasbro to be torn up first.
8. But what about all the foreigners that don't have access to it, anymore or at all? Not quite the whole series. The official My Little Pony YouTube channels do not go past Season 4, like Netflix USA. Plus, none of those channels even ever uploaded the rest of the Equestria Girls specials in any of the languages I mentioned.
9. I started this poll because Netflix refused to release any of the 2019 specials in the Equestria Girls franchise, plus Rainbow Roadtrip. Because of this, there has been a noticeable decrease in the amount of dubs produced and released for the specials, as Netflix exclusively hosted most of them, such as French, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Portugal), German, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Japanese, Thai, Hindi and Vietnamese. I really want these specials to have a new home somewhere, because Hasbro worked really hard on all the international productions, and to see them all in the "Shelf of Movie Languishment" for years is really annoying, knowing that all the other G4 content has been removed from Netflix except the first season of MLP in most countries. NOTE: I will be a little disappointed if you pick "other", and I will be really unhappy if you pick "nowhere". Besides, virtually no one watches cable TV anymore, especially Discovery Family Channel, and G4 can't stay in the evil hands of that channel forever.
10. As of October 2023, Pony Life is no longer on Discovery Family, with LPS: A World of Our Own, then Looney Tunes taking its place. Moreover, Hulu also removed the show in April 2023, leaving only Season 9 of Friendship is Magic still streaming there. And with Hasbro still refusing to leave Discovery Family, what can Pony Life fans do now?
11. Recently, we've seen old Warner Bros. cartoons appearing on Discovery Family, about a year after WBD was founded. But even during this era, Hasbro is still trying to force and shove their shows into the channel's schedule, like they did with The Adventures of Chuck and Friends and Littlest Pet Shop: A World of Our Own. And now, where Pony Life and World of Our Own used to be, Looney Tunes is now taking the 1PM timeslot on weekdays. Under this situation, I'm sensing a war between the two companies over the channel, where's it all: "Hasbro, you're giving us a hard time adding WB cartoons to our channel. You must leave at once immediately and find a new home. Besides, you're causing worldwide censorship to some of your own shows." "NO!!! WE DEMAND ANOTHER 3 MORE YEARS WITH YOU!! WE REFUSE TO LEAVE EVEN IF IT MEANS ALL CABLE AND NO STREAMING!!"
12. With Hasbro Studios is still refusing to leave Discovery Family, here's the current stats of its shows' availabilities on streaming that I could find: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Netflix (seasons 1-4), N/A (season 5-8), Hulu (season 9) Pound Puppies - Tubi The Adventures of Chuck and Friends - Tubi G.I. Joe: Renegades - Tubi Transformers: Prime - Netflix (season 1), Tubi (seasons 2-3) Transformers: Rescue Bots - Netflix (season 1), KiDoodleTV (season 2), N/A (seasons 3-4) Kaijudo: Rise/Clash of the Duel Masters - N/A Littlest Pet Shop - Tubi Blazing Team: Masters of Yo Kwon Do - N/A Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy - N/A Hanazuki: Full of Treasures - N/A (formerly on YouTube) Littlest Pet Shop: A World of Our Own - N/A Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy - Netflix (season 1), N/A (season 2) My Little Pony: Pony Life - N/A Chomp Squad - N/A Taylor Swift: Journey to Fearless - N/A Hubworld - N/A Clue - Tubi Family Game Night - N/A Pictureka! - Tubi The Game of Life - N/A Scrabble Showdown - N/A Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising - N/A (formerly on Netflix; removed way back in 2018) My Little Pony G3 - Hulu All Equestria Girls films and specials - KiDoodleTV That's right, more than half of everything made by Hasbro Studios is unavailable anywhere at this time.
13. Over the past year, Discovery Family has gradually pushed MLP from weekends to weekdays. In fact, here's the broadcast times of such content from the time when Pony Life ended to the present day. On weekdays: 4/12/21 - 5/31/22: 2:30 to 5:00 PM (Pony Life aired first, then Friendship is Magic at 3:00 PM) 6/1 - 7/29/22: 10:00 to 11:00 AM and 2:30 to 5:00 PM (weekday morning reruns of just one season began here) 8/1/22 - 9/29/23: 10:00 to 11:00 AM and 1:00 to 4:00 PM (in August 2022, Discovery Family reduced daytime children's programming to 10 hours every weekday, but MLP increased by 30 minutes) 10/2/23 - present: 10:00 to 11:00 AM and 1:30 to 4:00 PM (Pony Life removed from the channel) On weekends: 4/17 - 12/19/21: 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturdays, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sundays 1/2 - 3/27/22: 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturdays, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sundays (for only three months, there were four reruns of Season 9 on each Sunday) 6/5 - 7/31/22: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (9:30 to 11:00 AM on Saturdays in June) 8/6/22 - 2/12/23: 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM 2/18 - 4/30/23: 12:00 to 2:00 PM (Pony Life weekend reruns ended after April 2023) 5/6/23 - present: 12:30 to 2:00 PM (however, this did not stop DF from continuing to air movies, so sometimes, the show doesn't air at all on a weekend day)
14. By the looks of it, it's assumed that My Little Pony: Rainbow Roadtrip is currently forbidden in some Western European countries, such as France, Germany and Italy. However, all three are usually much, much, much more lenient on censorship than the rest of the world, especially the United States. According to Wikipedia, La Commission de classification cinématographique can actually ban films but cannot make cuts to them, although the latter power is rarely used, and in Italy, it is not possible to block the release of a new film or demand edits for any reason. But really, how could at least three usually lenient countries do such an extremely rare, yet horrendously cruel thing to the MLP fans about a 100% kid-friendly film? This is far much worse than the way Onward, Lightyear and Strange World faced censorship themselves in Middle East countries. On a side note, everything G3 was released in France, Germany and Italy, and there are absolutely no other unreleased American animated cartoons in any of those three countries, at least that I know of.
15. I really cannot choose just one, since I am a HUGE Disney fan, always subscribing to Disney+. But if I had to, I'd choose Toy Story, since I grew up with that as a kid.
16. I just found out today, all of the Equestria Girls films and specials are now on Kidoodle TV. https://kidoodle.tv/search?q=my little pony
17. Everything G5 is only available on Netflix. Netflix is banned in Russia, despite the series being dubbed in Russian. VPNs are also gradually illegal in Russia. So what can Russian fans do?
18. By the looks of what's happening now, it seems like Discovery Family is trying to take all the broadcasting and licensing rights for everything Friendship is Magic, Pony Life and Equestria Girls for themselves, despite cord cutting and streaming services now being the norm. In case you didn't know, all the My Little Pony G4 episodes, specials and films (except Pony Life, which was recently replaced by Littlest Pet Shop: A World of Our Own) have returned on the air as of July 2023 after not airing for a long time, depending on the season. Also, the Happy Birthday to You! video is one of only 4 out of all 15 to be removed from Netflix in 2021, probably because Hasbro ordered them to do so. This in turn is destroying our chance of seeing this generation on streaming. I don't care about the company...
Comp: ...milking as much revenue as it can for G4 toys and products as they continue to sell them for the foreseeable future.
If it keeps staying that way, Generation 4, Equestria Girls and Pony Life all may end up banned from streaming forever, and that isn't good.
19. In the last couple of weeks, we lost two celebrities: Bob Barker and Steve Harwell. Bob Barker was the previous host of The Price is Right, for 35 years. Steve Harwell was the frontman of the band Smash Mouth. Anything to say about these two celebrities?
20. Not to mention that several of Hasbro's shows (including My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) are all now the oldest programs still airing on Discovery Family.
21. Here are all the streaming availabilities of all generations of My Little Pony as of September 2023: G1: Tubi, Pluto TV, Ketchup TV G1 (My Little Pony Tales): Tubi, Pluto TV, Ketchup TV G3: The Roku Channel, Tubi ("A Charming Birthday" only), Pluto TV, Ketchup TV (as "Season 999"), Hulu (only the 44-minute specials) G4 Seasons 1-2: Netflix G4 Seasons 3-4: Netflix, The Roku Channel G4 Seasons 5-8: NONE G4 Season 9: Hulu EG films 1-2: Pluto TV Rest of the entire EG series: NONE Best Gift Ever: NONE Rainbow Roadtrip: The Roku Channel, Pluto TV Pony Life: NONE G5: Netflix By the way, G4 Season 5 is also available on Netflix in some Central European countries, while most of the rest of the world only gets Season 1. Also for most non-English speaking countries, I didn't find any other streaming services besides Netflix where Friendship is Magic, Pony Life, or any of the Equestria Girls movies or specials are available today, so I guess it's completely hopeless for these regions.
22. "Hasbro, Inc. ("Hasbro") has the right to put the entirety of its remaining 40% interest in Discovery Family to Discovery at any time during the one-year period beginning December 31, 2021, or in the event a Discovery performance obligation related to Discovery Family is not met. Embedded in the redeemable noncontrolling interest is also a Discovery call right that is exercisable for one year after December 31, 2021. Upon the exercise of the put or call options, the price to be paid for the redeemable noncontrolling interest is a function of the then-current fair market value of the redeemable noncontrolling interest, to which certain discounts and floor values may apply in specified situations depending upon the party exercising the put or call and the basis for the exercise of the put or call." But then early in 2022, after the license was supposed to expire, but apparently, did not... "Toy maker Hasbro is “evaluating” whether to offload its 40 percent stake in Discovery Family Channel. Hasbro CFO Deborah Thomas, as she discussed the future of the Discovery Family Channel stake during an analyst call, pointed to the impact of accelerating changes in the cable distribution industry, including a decline in linear TV subscribers. As more TV viewers migrate to streaming platforms and other digital alternatives, Thomas pointed to a possible sale or another strategic alternative for the Discovery Family Channel stake." Then another year later... "In connection with the amendment, the Company and Discovery entered into an option agreement related to the Company's remaining 40% ownership in the Network, initially exercisable during the one-year period following December 31, 2021. During 2022, the Company and Discovery agreed to extend the option exercise window to March 31, 2025." Why did Hasbro make this unusual decision, and how does it affect the MLP fans? 23. Hey guys, I only came back for a short visit just to show you guys something that must be dealt with. According to the podcast "YouTube Duplicate Content vs. Repeatable Content", we know that YouTube doesn't allow two versions of the same video uploaded onto the same channel. Despite that, I found at least TWENTY videos from one SINGLE channel that are continuously violating this rule. By the looks of it, the exact same copies of TEN videos from this one channel were uploaded at least TWICE, all of them deliberately overriding YouTube's policy, which is equal to TEN SEVERE VIOLATIONS on YouTube! I don't know why this channel keeps on doing this, but I am absolutely positive this is beyond illegal. As additional proof, I also have all the links to all 20 videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cBraz1PFIA ("Twilight Sparkle's Crown Gets Stolen", 11/17/20) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5pQCILbILE ("Twilight Sparkle's Crown Gets Stolen", 1/15/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lT-vj1R9Bp8 ("Time to Come Together", 12/28/20) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nE7Pz5kH5s ("Time to Come Together", 5/6/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DInDBjN6eZQ ("Battle", 1/5/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP9uKGHPIJ0 ("Battle", 2/1/22) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjqiHqS6EYU ("Light of Your Cutie Mark", 1/12/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCPtyC1s8-4 ("Light of Your Cutie Mark", 11/20/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_ARyJhKmxk ("Tricks Up My Sleeve", 2/2/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIRFUhhAntk ("Tricks Up My Sleeve", 6/17/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SSE1lSErrc ("Putting Your Hoof Down", 2/5/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQx1O65ApgA ("Putting Your Hoof Down", 6/19/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jw1AlBtiZw4 ("Lost and Found", 2/6/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot3x4_w8rqY ("Lost and Found", 6/15/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9mBSk_fVIw ("I'm NOT Twilight Sparkle", 2/11/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBK0GAl2BtE ("I'm NOT Twilight Sparkle", 7/15/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1Ix8H11QA ("The Ending of the End", 2/18/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9dm-9_VHZM ("The Ending of the End", 7/29/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fazjZsVzafQ ("Under Our Spell", 3/6/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPqDx1-IT_0 ("Under Our Spell", 6/21/21) What can we do to stop this channel from continuing this unlawful activity? I don't care what kind of channel it is, be it a kids' channel or whatever; exact same videos on same channels are equally illegal. By the way, I posted the topic here since I believe the subject of it focuses on YouTube rather than My Little Pony itself.
24. Please disable my account permanently from this forum. I am no longer interested in any further My Little Pony content, and I also want to move on with my personal life.

Thank you for all the good times I had on the MLP forum. I enjoyed being here, and I will miss you all.
