    Well the sun has set for GalaCon 2025, this has been my second ever pony convention and well worth it!
    I’ve met so many amazing people these past 3 days, picked up a lot of little goodies and had an absolute blast at the various events.
    Nice running into you @Astralshy as well!
    So so glad I finally got a chance to see the likes of 4everfreeBrony, PrinceWhateverer and MetaJoker live on stage and was even introduced to a few new names I need to check out like Luna Jax.
    The charity auction was also an incredible experience 
    And how lovely that GalaCon2026 is already announced! I’m eager to go again, I hope I can make it work!

    After what felt like an eternity of flying I have finally landed at Frankfurt and gotten settled into a cheap hotel near the train station.
    (Oh my goodness I am so happy to be having a shower.)
    You get 1 (one) lousy photo because I simply didn’t take any others.
    Its not every day you have a room with GoKart track views 
     
    I’ll be catching a train at 1am to take me all the way down to Füssen where my journey really starts, it is a huge train trip (like 7+ hours) but this worked out so so so so much cheaper than flying to any other airport.

    My flight to Germany is later this afternoon! I'm not looking forward to the long flight but there is quite a light at the end of the tunnel. 

    I'm going to spend a lot of this morning doing a bit of cleaning around the house so its all nice when I get back and also eating or throwing out the last of the fresh food I have since I'll be gone 3 weeks and I don't want it going bad while I'm away  I also need to finish packing.

    History of MLPF dive

    Instead of watching some guitar videos and practicing like a responsible me should have I once again procrastinated and of all things went looking for old user accounts on MLPF 
    Found out some neat history/trivia too.


    MLPF went live on the 3rd of October 2011 and is hosted by the service Invision Community  https://invisioncommunity.com/
    Not super relevant but interesting to me is that the official Warthunder forum use to be hosted by Invision as well https://old-forum.warthunder.com/

    A lot of early members who already knew one another including MLPF's founder(s) came from a place called "3DS Forums" can't say I'm familiar. 
    I see a lot of people were aware of and waiting for MLPF to go live many joining right after launch.


    This is a generalised timeline, dates and numbers may in actuality vary quite a bit.
    I am lead to believe 46(-1) members joined on day one October 3, 2011
    100 members was reached October 4, 2011
    500 members was reached  November 20, 2011
    1000 members was reached January 7, 2012
    10,000 members was reached November 22, 2012

    Before I go any further I do ask that you look with your eyes my little ponies  It is probably for the best that a lot of these threads and especially the profiles are not disturbed.

    Here I have compiled the first 10 users of MLPF, the first two users are the founder and co founder, despite my best efforts I cannot seem to find user #3 or confirm if there even was one.

    Not very diverse and when I originally posted I had  yet to find topics 6 and 10 so you get some more. (Thanks @Captain Salty Scribbles for pointing out 6)

    What luck as well a post in topic 12 shows us how MLPF use to look, I swear I do remember this look from when I first joined in June 2016  
    This is marked as October 8, 2011 so a very early glimpse indeed at how things use to be, and no that Lyra is an edit made for the previously mentioned topic, she was not originally there.

    I have also added some screenshots from today, September 12th 2024 for comparison and future reference.

    Interesting to note the loss of the Cloudsdale Colosseum, I dug up this topic from May 2012 explaining the change.
