  1. @@Kenshiro,

Agreed but I must kinda disagree with the fact she eagerly wants to change. Well, she does eagerly "want" to change but not "try" to change. On the contrary, she's so scared and her self-confidence so shattered until the S6 finale that she usually ran away from it all. Makes you want to snuggle her even harder!

  2. is there a wallpaper out there with her S6 mane? :o

There sure is! Though not that many...unless you consider certain large pics to fit as wallpapers? Anyway, here are some I found, along with a few large pics:

    Wallpapers:

    starlight_glimmer_by_mrtroll1099-d9ydqqj

    a_glimmer_of_season_6___wallpaper_by_pig

    Large pics:

    screw_mane_6__we_got_true_friendship_rig

Otherwise, I guess this pic could be made into a wallpaper but it'd require some work:

And if with all that you still haven't found anything to your fancy...:

Hope there's something you like in there!

  3. Was already aware; was just being rhetorical.

I know, I just wanted to post that pic.

There are still a few more that I haven't quite had the opportunity to post. Me sad. Welp, nothing seeing a cute Starlight won't fix.

  4. Why's she looking at Spike like that?

Wooow, some are still unaware of the existence of the Starlight x Spike ship! It's been sailing since the S6 premier. Like so:

PS: I'm not one to ship, though I would quite like to see some more Starlight & Spike in the show. Those two make such great friends, it's endearing to see them. But no romance.

  5. Eh, only until the 7th and no more donations accepted? Dang, I didn't want to burden you any more, PiratePony, but looks like I'll have to make my donation sooner than I intended and increase the sum you have to match. Speaking of, you are a great person, you deserve all of the praise!

PS: Now to figure out how to make a donation via PayPal...

  6. My teams? Can't remember what I used before, but here's my Sun team:

Primarina (Pearly - F): Just too cute for me to resist. Seriously, has anyone given Brionne or Primarina beans? They're just too adorable!! My favourite of this generation hands down

Toucannon (Pecko - M): Didn't think I'd keep him, hence the lame name. Turned out to be absurdly strong!

Marblepie (Lycanroc - F): Same as Pecko, I saw pure Rock, thought "meh" but was lacking  a 6th Pokémon. Now she's my second favourite of this generation! Prob should rename her, though. :please:

Sawbeet (Ribombee - F): Such a cute wittle bee! And so I tried to find a name and came up with that pun... Kinda wish they made a Pokémon out of that name, curious to see what that'd give. Too bad she's getting too weak to sweep the story by now.

Petahlia (Lurantis - F): Just loved her design. Pure plant and poor offensive type coverage coupled with low speed makes her rather bad but hey, who cares? Skin before skill! And who could resist to her great looks?

Last slot will be taken by either a Salazzle or an Alolan Ninetales. Haven't decided on a name for either yet. There's also 3 Pokémon I used to battle with but eventually parted with, and so, time for honourable mentions:

Wishiwashi - M: This one doesn't have a nickname because it was weak and without evolution. Then I battle the Totem Pokémon and fell in love with it. My third favourite Pokémon of this generation! Alas, already had a water Pokémon, but I'll use him again.

Charjbug (Airzap - M): Yup, not fully evolved. This one should have been in my team instead of Sawbeet but for some reason, GameFreak decided it was a great idea to have a bug-type pokémon aquired at the start of the game evolve only when you're nearing the end of the game.

Gumshoos (Munchacho - M): He had a good run, but with Pecko and Marblepie in my team, there was nothing he could actually bring. Sorry Munchacho, at least I got you to evolve.

And finally, my number one Pokémon, all generations included, the Pokémon I care for the most:

Mawile (Little Fey - F): I have no idea why but from the first time I saw her, I fell in love with the design. However, I never could quite use her because of low stats and a rather poor pool of moves... To my greatest joy, this changed with the introduction of the Fairy-type - giving her access to Play Rough - and of course, with that of the Mega Evolution! Ahhh, can't wait to welcome her to Alola! :pinkie:

  7.

... I'm sorry, but I can't simply help and point out that the formula is wrong. :adorkable:

I mean, developing the brackets in the second expression with A.c² / 3 gives you A.p terms. However, the first expression tells us the units should be equivalent to A.c² in order to keep manipulating it with that G.p term - Pi being unitless so irrelevent. Therefore, we have an inconsistency in the units. I am very disappoint, Sci-Twi. :sunbutt:

... Otherwise I like the art. :orly:

  8. I just wanted to say, I think Starlight Glimmer is really, really cute!

Tell us something we don't know, she's just too adorable! :pinkie:

PS: Again an amazing art not featured in EqD and with only 16 views! Le shock

Too bad she's got that angry frown. Isn't she much cuter when she smiles like this?

PS: Just noticed but this awesome drawing apparently did not get featured in Equestria Daily! Le shock! :o

  10. I love Starlight because she is a very complex character with many struggles and inner demons I can relate to, and I think the show did a wonderful job with her characterization and how she's overcoming them. Sure, not all people get a second chance the way she did, which is why a lot of people don't like her, but who better than Twilight to give an opportunity like that to somepony like her? Anyway, I thought you all would appreciate this little video:

Wait... Did she just leave without paying?! :o

    She's a gangsta!

  11. @,

That's still just blood from a unicorn like one of the many buried in that place. Twilight and Starlight were both pretty terrible at magic at first. Starswirl was probably the same, you don't start a genius. In other words, what makes them so strong is their own personal skill, not their blood. Twilight's parents would clearly have been occupying very important positions otherwise. And since it's personal skill and not blood, that puts a damper on that easy "Starswirl did it" theory. Every time they want to explain something, poof! Starswirl did it!

It does look like it takes at least a bit of time. Chrysalis, as far as we know, showed no sign of this during Canterlot's Wedding and Thorax had spent more than a few days there after Spike's intervention. i don't know how much time passed by in that in-comics flashback so hard for me to tell. I simply assumed more than a few days at the very least for someone to become so infatuated, all the more so when it's a king.

  12. @,

Wait, so once upon a time, there was a tree. One day, Starswirl passed nearby. Unfortunately, he received a small cut from a branch (or something) and his blood fell on the ground. Little did he know this droplet of blood contained enough magic to turn the tree into countless changelings...somehow. Sounds legit.

The pegasus loving Chrysalis part, I woudn't entirely agree. While it's true it might be a little debatable, sharing love is apparently the trigger required for changelings to evolve. Unfortunately, we see no changeling receiving love as well as not caring back in the show. It's either not cared about & doesn't care about, OR cares about & is cared about. We also did see cares about & is not cared about in Thorax before Spike helped.

This is why I've said that it was way more likely that, being given a constant income of love, the changeling wouldn't feel hungry anymore. Then getting past their self-preservation instincts and sharing it is what causes the transformation. From what I've gathered at least.

... Shnookums? Even the two nicknames you gave her aren't this terrible... :unamused:
