Does anyone even read these anymore?

For reasons known to those who subscribe to Chaos Weekly, I left MLPF's staff and active user list a year back, through the bulk of the seasonal hiatus. During this time I've lived on DeviantART, running a few pony groups and growing them through all and every means necessary, commissioning asstons of pony art, making friends with many new artists, and generally taking a break from using message boards in not just a staff sense, but in a general one as well.

With S5 closing in on us, and having just recently felt a desire to participate with forums once more, I have (sort of) returned, in the sense of being an active poster. While many of the friends I knew have since become inactive as well, I'll get by. I'm sure I'll make new accomplices, as we all crusade into S5 and beyond of pony~

I suppose one of the main reasons I'm back is, there's still no better alternative to this place in regards to high activity and user amount. To be honest I use forums regularly to engage in my love of writing and engaging with the fandom through writing lore discussions that others will read, more than socializing with friends. That's what Skype's for to me, brah.

For those who don't know me, I am one of the Ancient Celestials. I am before your time.
Follow me, heed my call and learn the ways of shenanigans and chaos.

It was only a few weeks ago, and the two years prior, that I had no interest in ever having much to do with OC's. Even after making one last year, I never wound up doing much with him.

But then my artist friend made me my own ponysona without telling me in advance, and I actually really like him, and now she and others make all this art of him because he's apparently adorable, and is a perfect representation of me.

Here's one such thing that got made today. It started as a sketch by one art friend as a gift, turned into a vector from another friend after I asked them to make it as such. It totally had to be done, and it only cost a few bucks, so whai naught.

A good friend on DA made me a ponysona after witnessing what I looked like, and so now, having recieved such a thing, I am now burderned with glorious purpose to commission artwork of him, and to make him a thing. I have begun doing so.

Meet Ponder Cloud :3 He's me. More or less. Meaning, he likes his few close friends as much as he likes to have plenty of alone time, is seen as rather quiet, but can open up and be as talkative as even the greatest extroverts when with good friends and when discussing topics he enjoys, and has an unyiledingly adorable fascination and love for ponies and their belly buttons. His thundercloud cutie mark represents his limitlessly creative, but often times bogged down mind, as well as his love for computers, specifically his, and the online friends and communities he participates with in his free time. He is fluffy and cute :3

Bios are silly, so you get this blog instead. I made Repulse a bio because he's mostly a unique OC, but this silly little fluffy head is just me so, lol what's the point? x)

As of two months from tomorrow, I'll have been on staff for two years x) Which is mind-boggling in a lot of ways. This forum has acted as my true introduction into the pony fandom, and served as my singular hub for all things pony and lack of any kind of life, for over a year. It's also acted as a means by which I've met many new friends, and further grew myself as a person, member and a person in a position of pronominal cosmic power. And, persona-wise, though I may not have been the optimal person for the job, I like to think I did a pretty good job.
    *filler*
*filler lol we're like an anime right now filler filler filler*
    *The Filler Strikes Back*
    There we go :3

But now, as I giddily stare down 48 hours until I get to road trip with some brony friends from Maine down to BronyCon while surely blasting pony music the entire way, I've finally come to terms with myself that it's time to drop the badge and return to my roots. My interest in ponies, both show and fandom, hasn't waned a bit. Nor am I upset with anyone on or off the staff, or at any decisions that have been made about this, that or the other thing. I've simply been eating the same entree at the same fancy restaurant across the street that I've been going to for lunch for almost two years, and think it's about time to start staying home on my ass and ordering pizza.

I will not be known for modesty when I say, I've done so much shit for our home here, that it's not even funny x) My moderator action log in the CP outclasses all other staff, past and present (to this point in time), outside SCS, who flipped their lid and became the modern #NewCarSmellCD when they became a moderator and later admin. A lot more time and effort has been spent on things by me, especially during my first year here, than I probably should have given. But, I don't regret it. I've always loved being on, and sometimes staffing forums, and everything I did has had some kind of impact for what I hoped was the greater good.

But, the motivation and interest in being a staff member has run dry for me. The love of organizing content, topics and events for members to enjoy has slowly been outweighed by no longer wanting to deal with people's ceaseless drama, bullshit and inability to ever be pleased with anything (boy, that feels good <3), and the list of other woes that the average active staff member has to cope with on a daily basis. Unfortunately for me and my unruly work ethic and high activity, when it came to the point of being tired, the less I did, the more guilty I felt about retaining my position at all, and that's more or less how I've felt for a while now. Coming on and feeling guilty about not doing much compared to my former self, but not having the motivation or care to do anything about it. 'Burnout' is the cliche word for it, but it fits, I s'pose.

Originally, I planned to stay on staff until sometime after BronyCon, but in reality this was just a vague estimate. My true goal was to aid in bringing on a few more admins to the staff, and to help a few projects such as the Mod Applications to be brought to light. The people and tools now exist for the current team to expand themselves when needed, without my presence as a staff member, which is definitely something I'm happy about. Here's to hoping that the team can hire more ponies when it needs, and that the staff/member relationship can be brought to that perfect medium one of these days.

That's about it, I don't go into near the level of emotion and feels that some of my past brethren have. Dear god. (Love you Lumi <3). Which is also why this is a blog, and not a big, loud Canterlot topic broadcasting this to the entire forum's active population. Might seem a tad underwhelming too, from how much I've done as a staff member, but then again, this is also because I don't plan on leaving. This place still has some remnants of being an internet home for my pony fandom; I'm just ready to get rid of this girly pretty pretty princess badge. Maybe now I can convince Feld0 to let me use Best Badge as my own unique badge.

And so the reign of #DiscordAdmin came to an end.

While some were distraught, others breathed a sign of relief.

Surely that guy was never meant for this calling, anyway.

For those going to BronyCon, I shall see you there. Mistakes from the past have been learned from. You want to touch the goatee, you pay five bucks.

For those who aren't cool and aren't going to BronyCon, I suppose I'll see you around the forums some more :3

For everyone else, do not cry for me. Just think of all the #ActualChaosThisTime that can happen, now.

Been quite some time since I last blogged (and it's gotten to a point where I've said this on every blog entry I've done for a while now </3). But nonetheless, a blog is the better option for this particular topic, as I feel trying to put it in Sugarcube would garnish little discussion, as the amount of One Piece fans on here is an unknown, to me. A sad fact, mind you.

At any rate, I've started watching One Piece over now that I got caught up with the current episodes. So I had a lot of creative thought about matching devil fruits up to ponies that fit them, today. I'm making a list of these match-ups, and will be explaining not only the devil fruits' powers and images of them for reference (mostly brought from the One Piece wiki), but also why I believe the match-ups individually work.

Reference for non-One Piece fans who actually give a shit about any of this:
    Devil Fruits (One Piece wiki)

    --

Pika Pika no mi ('Glint Glint Fruit')
Allows the user to create, control, and transform into light at will, and enables the user to move at the speed of light and transport him/herself by means of reflection. "Pikapika" is an onomatopoeia of 'glimmering' or 'shining' light.

Being the monarch of the sun and thus the light of the shining day, Princess Celestia would wield this power the best. Her very color scheme reflects a vibrant nature in and of itself, with her rainbow mane also being based around light particles causing colors to gleam in various shades. Along with her sisters' fruit, her power matches her responsibilities and general characteristics.

Kage Kage no mi ('Shadow Shadow Fruit')
Gives the user the ability to manifest and control shadows as a tangible physical form, effectively giving them the capability to manipulate people's movements through their shadows, remove people's shadows entirely so that their owners will disintegrate in sunlight, and create armies of living shadows to do their bidding. 'Kage' means 'Shadow'.

Being the co-ruler of Equestria who is in charge of the darkened nights in the light of the moon, princess Luna holding the power over the shadows that are cast from the dim but powerful light of her moon would make the most sense, to me. In the moonlight, shadows are the most widespread and noticeable, giving her a natural advantage in almost any situation, seeing as she's (seemingly) nocturnal, most of the time.

Yami Yami no mi ('Dark Dark Fruit')
Allows the user to create and control darkness at will, enabling them many of the powers that a black hole has over gravity. They can suck in any number of objects around them, crush them, and then
expel them back out again at will.

It should go without saying that the king of darkness himself, King Sombra, would hold this fruit the best. He practically was darkness itself in his double episode appearance, already. This fruit, like Sombra, appears to be incredibly evil by nature, partly why I believe it fits Sombra better than Luna, though in a few aspects, Luna could wield it too (as better could Nightmare Moon).

Mera Mera no mi (Flame Flame Fruit)
Allows the user to manipulate, create and transform into fire at will, making them immune to heat and fire in the process. The user can also absorb existing fire by simply making contact with it via any part of body. 'Mera Mera' is a Japanese onomatopoeia of the noise fire makes when it burns.

Naturally, the spicy and flame colored-schemed Spitfire fits the tangy powers of the fire fruit the best. Her mane especially would flow so well with the fruits' powers, that all I can picture is her mane going from how it normally is, to suddenly burning as a flickering flame, all in a flawless motion.

Mero Mero no mi (Love Love Fruit)
Allows a range of attacks which use emotions of lust or perversion to transform opponents into stone, effectively giving users the ability to obliterate enemies after having subdued them with charms and false traps of leading on. "Mero mero" is an onomatopoeia of "to fall down drunk", including being overcome with emotion such as love or lust.

Though hardly the type to lead people on and then crush them (literally!), Cadence is the princess of love, and somehow I see her having a ruthless side for enemies and opponents who would dare harm Equestria, the Crystal Empire, or her Shiny. I mean hey, she did cause Sombra to explode :3

Ope Ope no mi (Op Op Fruit)
Allows the user to create a spherical space or "room", where the user has complete control over the placement and orientation of the objects inside, including intangible things like people's personalities, effectively making the person a near-warper of reality inside their "room". "Ope" comes from the word "Operation", as the space the user creates is compared to an "operating room" and the user to a surgeon.

One of the more noticeably powerful fruits that gives the user to do whatever they want, like a god in a sandbox, I felt this fruit would match Discord the best. Snapping his fingers, causing a large circular dome, and then shifting objects around, reattaching things to other things, levitation and even switching moods and personalities is practically what he does, already.

Mane Mane no mi (Clone Clone Fruit)
Allows the user to turn into a physical double of anyone he or she has touched, copying the appearance, voice and characteristics of the person perfectly. They can change to someone else by touching their face with their right hand and switch back to their normal state by touching their face with their left hand.

Naturally, Chrysalis, who's ability already matches that of turning into someone else, matches this fruits' ability. I admit, it'd be rather funny to see Chrysalis constantly poking the side of her face with her swiss-cheese hooves, in order to change into Cadence and other ponies.

As there is death, there is life. As some things come to a close, new beginnings make themselves apparent.

For those who keep up with my blog, you'll know that the beginning of April was a horrible time for me. My life-long childhood cat Millie died on the 2nd of that month, and it was a sad time for me for about a week or two, even though I was no longer an emotional wreck after the initial four or so days. A few days ago, my mom felt it finally time to obtain a new member of the family; not one to try and replace Millie, but to give us someone to help fill the void, and to turn our attention to.

Jasmine, as we've decided to name her, is only over a month or so old at this point, but she's already adapting fast to her new house very well. She's a short-hair with six paws on her front legs instead of five. Thus, I dubbed her Mitten Kitty.

  7. NavelColt
Eh, why not. It was a huge part of my childhood, I had all these card scans sitting on my USB Drive that I forgot about months and months ago, and I uploaded a past entry for Weird and Wild Creatures that people seemed to enjoy so, here. Have some Yu-Gi-Oh.

Scratch one more thing onto 'List of New Things Bronies have utterly flipped about, only to then start to cool down over'.

Keep it up, fandom. Eventually, the list of past things everyone's utterly overreacted to will be so big, that anti-bronies will be able to hate on us for that trend, and the more rational of us will actually sort of agree with them. :3

When I first ventured into this vast land of pony and message boarding, I was a rampant post whorse who never really stopped for several months. Whilst throwing topics to the wind willy nilly, I developed a system that differentiated my topics that were casual, versus my more intense (and usually lengthy) discussion topics. The latter of the two received a 'C.Discord's' before their title, and usually consisted of wordy title choices, as well. In addition, most of these topics lay dormant in Show Discussion and Sugarcube, my personal bread and butter of the forum.

Eventually, putting 'C.Discord' in my topic titles became a personal brand, of sorts.

Looking back over all of my topics I've ever made, I'm reminded just how many topics I've created of this type. I decided I might as well create a list of them, for my own convenience, and others' as well. Some of these are doomed to be, or already are out of date, and that's fine. They were made for the time they were made in, and are apart of the forums' rich history :3 But, all the same, anyone's free to reply and give their thoughts and opinions, even in those such topics.

See the pattern? I do. And I've kinda had it Tired of sitting here and feeling like one of the only cool-tempered/sane people in the room when any sort of news comes out, and everyone decides to pick up their battle axes from where they left off in the last Apocalyptic Fandom Event, and go right back it. This time, according to EQD, writers have actually received death threats in full (see comments), and it's discouraged quite a few of them to severe points.

Here's an idea. Instead of throwing drama around and expecting the end like we always do, how about we stop the drama, relax, discuss things without getting at each others throats, being rude and blunt or outright slandering the concept itself or other people's opinions, and wait to see what happens. Being civilized shouldn't be too out of the fandom's grasp.

Or maybe it is. Maybe I'm expecting too much, these days.

    Sincerely, A Sane Person
  11. NavelColt
Well, not so much :3 I don't actually plan on reviewing the movie. I do, however, feel like talking a bit about this movie, inspired by the book of the same name written quite a few decades ago by the fabled Dr. Seuss, and why I really enjoy the messages it has to offer. Hell, perhaps a few of you fence-sitters will give the book and movie a try, yourselves, after patiently reading through my yacking.

For those of you who don't know, 'The Lorax' was a children's book written and published by Dr. Seuss in 1971. It told the story of a greedy man, known only as 'The Once-ler', who had an insatiable vision to create the ultimate consumer product. This product, known as a 'Thneed', was advertised as 'a fantastical thing that everyone needs', of which had 'a thousand uses'. In order to achieve his dream, The Once-ler destroyed an entire ecosystem (a forest, in this case) to harvest the trees' raw materials needed to create his thneeds. Though the guardian of the forest, The Lorax, tried to stop him, he had no success, and the entire forest of the once beautiful Truffula Trees was chopped down, forcing the animal inhabitants to leave.

With no more raw material to produce his product, the Once-ler's fast-growing, 'Too Big to Fail' business crashed and burned. Alone and miserable as he regretted his actions, the Once-ler aged into a reclusive hermit, living at the top of a single tower left over from his once thriving, polluting factory. Years later, when a boy from a nearby town stumbles upon the tower after hearing legends of the 'Legendary Once-ler', the Once-ler explains that it's his fault the forest around them has become a desolate wasteland, and gives the boy the very last Truffula seed, saying 'Truffula Trees are what everyone needs'.

A year following the books' release, an animated television special was released for the book. It stuck close to what the book presented, making few liberties and being very loyal to Seuss' original style.

In the book and animated television special alike, the Once-ler was never given a visible face or body. Only his green gloves. Symbolism for the idea that anybody could be a 'Once-ler'. Someone who allowed greed to consume them.

Decades later, last year in 2012, a brand new animated adventure was made for the book. For the first time, the Once-ler was given a face and personality past his greed and later regret. The movie follows a boy from 'Thneedville', a completely plastic city void of nature and trees, and harboring perfectly happy people. After discovering the Once-ler through his grandmother (voiced by Betty White, fuck yes), Ted learns of the history of this once beautiful paradise, and the rise and fall of the Once-ler's dream.

The Once-ler is depicted in a great way in this movie, imo. While he was one big symbolic, faceless individual in the past, he is now relateable, identifiable and a great contrast to create a full-circle to what he was in the books. His progress from a completely harmless individual with an honest dream to a ruthless tyrant corrupted by greed is believable, and is followed-up by the emotional realization that he has destroyed an entire ecosystem, and he regrets his actions for years as a hermit. He then assists Ted in replanting the last Truffula seed, which will one day regrow into the forest the Once-ler once destroyed.

A rather accurate example of the Once-ler's corruption process, using the popular 'alignment' meme nine box style found all over the internet.

The reason I adore this book and the fantastic movie created for it is that, of all Seuss' books, I feel this one was the perfect one to remake into a film for modern times. Don't pollute the planet? Don't allow greed to grow your dream at the expense of others? Promote the well-being of the planet by planting forests? Yes, please. These are messages that can't possibly be promoted enough, especially in today's day and age.

So yeah, that's about it Can't think of much else to add. Oh, asides from, the movie has some great music. Every song in it is pretty awesome. Just try the

The movie can be found on Netflix, and in any sort of store that sells DVD's, for the most part. I encourage people to give it a try; it's a cute movie that has tons of humor, and a great theme. Be sure to give that animated special or even the book itself a try, first, if you're curious of getting a feel of what started it all.

In 1998, Vermont had a nasty ice storm that slammed much of the state. I was five, and had just recently dealt through my parents' rather bumpy divorce. My mom had been planning to get a cat for a while; she grew up with them in her own house, and now, living alone with me, she wanted to get her own. By a run of chance, we happened to stumble upon a lady who was giving her young cat away, since she was moving away due to complications regarding the ice storm, to a place that didn't allow cats. By luck, we became the new happy owners of Millie.

At that point, Millie was already four or five in human years, as she was born in 1994. Today, that makes her nearly nineteen years old, nearly as old as me, as I was born in 1993. Millie has been a consistent part of my entire life, from rigorous and often confusing childhood, through middle and high school. It became increasingly clear through the later years of 2008 through 2011 that Millie's health, along with her age, was deteriorating. I can happily say she was fine with the help of some meds, and for a long time, you wouldn't know she was an old woman, with the way she hunted socks to try and show us humans how to properly catch food and then meow for you to come and fetch it, or how she would leap several feet up onto the kitchen counter and demand fuss from you.

Like many cats contract in later years, Millie has had failing kidneys for a while now. Unfortunately, it has come to the point where her weak kidneys cannot keep up with her bodies' demand for water. Clumps of fur, weak limping, dry heaving, the list goes on. While she was still relatively healthy in eating and drinking, it had gotten to a point where my mom was almost afraid to bring her in, for she had a dreadful feeling she knew what the doctor was going to say. Last night, she came into my room and had a talk with me about how she was almost certain it was time to say good-bye, and that she'd make a call the next day, and we'd decide on what to do regarding the doctor's diagnosis.

The day after, this afternoon, I sat with a life long friend and watched them die peacefully, as I, my mother and my sister couldn't help but cry uncontrollably, in putting her to sleep.

Millie was a beautiful white and greyish Siamese/short hair. She had the most angelic chirping sound a cat could possess to let you know she loved you when you fussed her and gave her your undivided attention. I haven't stopped periodically crying and standing besides myself at the cold reality that after fifteen years of having her chirping at me from her purple bean bag, she's actually gone. To be honest, it felt so very wrong and alien to leave her there at the vets', even though I knew she had already passed away.

We're going to have her cremated, and place her ashes above the TV entertainment center, though I'd love to find a special shelf to place where her beanbag used to always be.

The 'grieving over a loved one' is a new concept to me, for better or worse. This isn't some big dramatic 'I'm taking time off' sort of deal, as I can't really shift a routine that easily. It will mean that I'm not all too sure how good my mood is going to be for a few days, to a week, maybe more. I've dreaded, and even teared up in the past over this day, and now that its' finally here, I've found I have no more energy to cry here at 10 PM, having started since 4 PM.

I only hope she's in a better place.

    Thanks for reading.

Been a horrible, horrible blogger the past few months; almost nothing at all going on. I'm afraid I simply haven't found the interest or time to write out any more DeviantART art review pieces, and I also never get around to blogging about anything else. Who knows, maybe that can change soon.

In the meantime, here's a blog referring to my thoughts on the long-awaited installment of Double Rainboom, the first full-fledged MLP:FiM episode created by the fanbase.

    Enjoy and whatnot~

I've never been one to be very indecisive about who my favorite ponies are. They all have a position in my list from favorite to least favorite, and it rarely alters.

This is what my list has been for quite some time now. I don't 'dislike' any character, other than say, Diamond Tiara who's simply built to be an intolerable, manipulative bitch :3 I rank ponies by how much they interest me overall, and for a while, all throughout season one and two, this list of mine has remained for the most part stable. As we've traversed through season three however, I've come to a realization that is rather fascinating.

I actually like Rarity more than Fluttershy.

Now, a few points I need to make:

Point one: I see Rarity gets a lot of crap for not living up to her element, or being stuck up. I don't suddenly endorse that she doesn't at least sometimes do or show that she does these things sometimes. She does. However, faults of a character are not something I use against them, like many people. Faults make characters believable. Faults make characters non-OP and not mary-sues' or gary-stus'. I love Dash beyond belief, and I love that she can come off as brash, arrogant and grumpy sometimes, because they're faults of hers (that she's been building upon with character development this season, I might add) that make her who she is (not to mention it makes her even more adorable than she already is).

Likewise, the fact Rarity can seem selfish doesn't make her a bad character, just as Dash isn't a bad character for her faults. Imo, people should stop trying to find counter-arguments for why their character is mostly perfect or at least more perfect than other people think, and instead explain why their faults are believable, and why their faults should be embraced as a part of their character. Really, the Mane Six all have faults and strengths that match perfectly when you think about it.

Point two: Over the past year I've learned that knowing when to separate canon from fanon (Cupcakes, Rainbow Factory, etc, anyone?) isn't the only thing people should be mindful to separate. Separating the attitudes of fans of a character from the character themselves is important. Frankly, all of the ponies have tons of fans who can be exceedingly obnoxious, narrow-minded or stubborn in their views (except Twilight fans...maybe I'm just crazy but there aren't as many annoying Twilight fans as there are of other ponies). I've been lurking the ponynet outside of just here enough by now to realize this is very true. Therefore, what is the point in pinning on an inevitable reality to something like the actual character? Ignore the fans who piss you off, and enjoy the character for what they themselves have to bring to the table.

To be brutally honest, I've disliked 40% of Rarity fans I've encountered, and that includes here. I find many of them to be incredibly opinionated, even stubborn in their views. Traits that I don't find as overwhelming in the fans of some of the other characters (for the most part). However, I'm not going to let that fact deter me from enjoying the character herself, who I've found in this season particularly to have plenty of entertaining moments, despite how she's gotten no episodes and little screen time overall.

And those moments can even be, no, are often the little things. This post of mine is a prime example.

By the way, that's a terrific thread. I love that thread. Go post in it if you haven't already.

Hmmm, so, yeah. Basically, Rarity's personality is intriguing and she has many entertaining moments. She's amusing as the diva of the six, has plenty of faults just like Rainbow Dash that make her interesting to see grow as a character, and her and Sweetie are third best sisters.

Fluttershy on the other hand I've found just...really, really does not interest me. A huge part of her personality is circling around the classic vulnerability/cuteness idea, which I personally find cliche and borderline boring (topic relevant). Many writers portray her differently in her episodes, she goes from primarily shy to primarily easy-going and not really shy, to more confident, then going back to being shy. Not even a primary role with Discord moved her up in my list from this inevitable fate. I could go on, but this blog is not to try and bash on Fluttershy. She's not a bad pony :3 She simply doesn't catch my interest.

So, huzzah, I suppose. My list will look something like the following for the foreseeable future. Though I will say in advance, AJ is dangerously close to switching places with Twi and has been all season. Dunno if that will or won't happen at some point.

    Dashie > AJ > Twi > Pinkie > Rarity > Fluttershy

This is Draconequus Swag 387, signing off.

These are some original characters of mine, of which I developed several years ago. I actually made a topic about them when I first joined, but it's been dead and buried, with not a single comment or brohoof. I was a first-day noob when I threw it up there and nobody yet cared what I was posting about So, since the topic felt out of place where it was in the Writing section of Non-Pony Art as it was anyway (they weren't ponies nor RP characters, so the bios didn't belong in the roleplay section), I decided to scrap it and refurbish it in a modern blog entry.

Any thoughts would be sweet :3

The Demon Lords are four entities that personify evil based on negative emotions. Each demon has an overall kingdom emotion that has sub-categories of that negative emotion branching off of it.

    Apirus *ap-eye-rus*
unus ut venit ex vorago, "The one that came from the pit"
    Negative Emotion: Anger
Sub-Categories: Hate, Jealousy, Rage and Vengeance
A living inferno is the one full of hate, beholder of all things within his wake. He stalks his prey in light or day, slaughtering all things in a bloody spray.

Appearance: Resembling a humanoid with blood-shot eyes and screeching mouths covering his thin naked body, Apirus has no facial features on his actual head. He walks on all fours and has an anatomy that appears to be half-human half-wolf, and his hands and feet bare sharp claws that can retract at will. Instead of a back, Apirus has a gigantic mouth that has three rows of needle sharp teeth. This mouth is how he speaks, and apart from talking, it usually remains closed, acting as an actual back.

Personality: Apirus is sadistic, malevolent and presumably psychotic. He finds joy in killing anything that is living, and destroying anything that isn't living. Unlike the other three lords, he acts before he thinks, prioritizing pointless killing and destruction before tactical action or consequences. However, he is very intelligent despite his apparent insanity, and enjoys it when his enemies are able to hold their own against him long enough for him to deem them 'amusing'.

Abilities/Powers: On top of being agile and quick, Apirus can squeeze his body through even the most slim of openings to continue chasing his prey no matter where they go or hide. This, matched with his 360 degree vision makes him the ultimate hunter. He possesses sharp claws that he can use to easily rip apart enemies, and also has an arsenal of elemental magic that bases around fire and lava. He can use even the most powerful magic without moving a muscle, and seems to have an unlimited amount of which he can use.

Special/Unique Ability: The mouths and eyes that cover Apirus's body serve as his ultimate defense from close ranged attacks. Due to the dozens of eyes, he has no blind spot, and can evade, dodge or block any incoming attacks from any direction. If an attack does get close enough to land a blow to his body, the mouths covering him automatically let out an ear-shattering screech simultaneously that paralyzes enemies temporarily, consequently opening them up for a brutal counter-attack.

Weakness: Though completely all seeing, Apirus has no ears or nose to hear or smell with. Though he can sense things, it combined with his eyes does not completely make up for the lack of two senses. Long-ranged, invisible or hidden attacks will easily get through to him if executed correctly.

Quote: "I'll be your executioner today, please do try to squirm and plead for mercy as I send you into the afterlife!"

    Nyybas *Neye-bus*
unus ut venit ex nightmares, "The one that came from nightmares"
    Negative Emotion: Fear
Sub-Categories: Terror, Anxiety, Nervousness and Fright
Crawling terror is he of the shadows, a puppeteer of both living and dead. Ever-changing form, hiding in the crowd, the entity of fear arouses both terror and dread.

Appearance: Nyybas is a shape-shifter, and may appear in whatever form he pleases or deems necessary for the situation. However, his true form is that of a gigantic reddish brown centipede twenty feet long, two feet wide and one foot high off the ground. He has two long black antennae that sprout from the front of his body, which serve as his eyes and ears through powerful sensing. His legs are long and needle-sharp, easily capable of grappling, puncturing or crushing.

Personality: Nyybas is in many ways the distinct opposite of Apirus. He does very little without meaning, and does not meaninglessly kill for no reason unless he absolutely needs to. Very tactical and vicious, Nyybas prefers to mess with his enemies for as long as possible, toying with them and testing their courage by staying out of sight and causing them to panic horribly through sounds, shadows and movement. Nyybas is the cleverest and stealthiest of the four, and views himself as above other beings-especially mortals.

Abilities/Powers: On top of an indestructible exoskeleton, Nyybas has incredible speed and deadly accurate precision even when moving quickly due to his powerful antennae. His fangs can bite through solid rock, as well as secrete a deadly poison that will kill within a few days if not treated. He has a brilliant strategic mind, and magic that deals with necromancy, illusions and shape-shifting.

Special/Unique Ability: In his regular centipede form, Nyybas is able to re-grow any segment of his body that has been lost, like a flatworm. He can do this in mere seconds, and can grow multiple segments at once. He can also grow segments altogether, ultimately making himself longer if needed. These segments can grow at any location of his body, not just in chronological order after his head, like how flatworms function.

Weakness: Although his entire exoskeleton is indestructible, the very thin pieces of skin connecting each segment of his body are not. He compensates for this vulnerability through his ability of being able to re-grow any segment(s) of his body he has lost, but he can only do so, so much in a period of time.

Quote: "Indeed, fear is the only thing to truly be afraid of. And I, mortal, am fear incarnate."

    --

    Malphas *mal-fus*
unus quisnam venator pro iucunditas, "The one who hunts for pleasure"
    Negative Emotion: Desire
Sub-Categories: Greed, Lust, Gluttony and Pride
A silent assassin in the dead of night, turning it's head as you stride on by. Cackling in delight, he dismounts his pedestal, carrying you away into the blackening sky.

Appearance: Malphas is a humanoid gargoyle with pitch black, obsidian skin, large bat shaped wings, razor sharp talons, two rows of teeth, and glowing red eyes. He is by far the only demon that at all resembles a human even remotely. He also has twin goat-like horns that sprout out from the top of his forehead and trail up and backwards.

Personality: Malphas sees everything as a game, even fighting. Because of this, he usually sadistically tortures his prey either mentally, emotionally or physically before finishing them off. He's the only one of the four to have any interest in flirting with enemies or prey, which he does periodically if he encounters females. Loud and boastful, Malphas is always downplaying others abilities and raising his own, though in reality he has the least deadly powers of the four lords.

Abilities/Powers: Malphas is the only demon lord that can fly in his natural form, and he is a master of attacking from the air silently and effectively. He possesses strength several times the power of a normal man, and can easily disguise himself as a statue by altering his skin color to that of a stone statue and remaining perfectly still. Like Apirus, he has elemental magic abilities, but that base around wind.

Special/Unique Ability: Malphas has the unnatural ability to bring statues to life to fight for him, or do some other purpose. No matter the substance used to create the statue, ie: stone, marble, etc. he is able to control it as long as it is fully carved out.

Weakness: Malphas is so full of himself that he often takes things a little too lightly. If one of his enemies has a powerful ability and does not make it apparent until just the right moment when Malphas leaves himself open, or if they're a tactician that can outsmart him, then they can land a critical blow on him.

Quote: "Why do you still bother to get up? My game is over! You've LOST!"

    --

    Orobas *o-row-bass*
unus unified per umbra, "The one unified with the shadows"
    Negative Emotion: Despair
Sub-Categories: Remorse, Suffering, Sadness and Regret
Collection of darkness, depression and despair, a shadow moves in the corner of your eye. It's nothing, you're convinced, you continue on your way, unaware your destination will surely terrify.

Appearance: Orobas is usually seen as a shadow attacking from another shadow. He lives in the darkness and rarely comes out into the 3D realm. When he does, he typically looks like a morphing cloud of darkness, with blue electric bursts faintly visible at his core. However, his true form is a large silhouette in the shape of a demon with hooves and horns, and burning fire that radiates from its eyes and inside its mouth.

Personality: Because he never vocalizes his thoughts and is only a shadow most of the time, not much is known about Orobas. What is known is that though he is patient and takes his time terrorizing and lowering the defenses of his enemy before attacking like Nyybas, but like Apirus, will brutally destroy anyone who irritates him.

Abilities/Powers: Apart from being able to morph, blend and become one with the darkness and shadows, Orobas can attack beings or things in the 3D realm even when he is not in it himself. He is also able to drain the positive energy from beings, and though powerful and deadly, the energy drained from others does not increase his own strength.

Special/Unique Ability: Orobas is able influence people's immediate memory and sense of direction if he can be close enough. By doing so he can force others to wander around in circles for hours or however long he wishes, and they are completely unaware of it. This is such a deadly power for him because even if he he can't harm someone during the day, if they walk by a shadow he is hiding in, he can make them wander around unknowingly until night falls, where he can strike.

Weakness: Orobas has no immediate weakness, outside the obvious: light. He can't harm others if there is no darkness or shadows large enough for him to form in, and outside, in the daylight, he is almost completely harmless.

    Quote: "..."

    --

Universal Abilities and Info: These are generic abilities and info that apply to all four demons as a whole.

-Reality Cloak: All four demons are able to make themselves separate from the mortal realm if need be. In this form they are invisible, untouchable, inaudible and they do not interact with the mortal realm in any way, even though they are there. Only those who have powerful magic can see through this power's veil, in which case they are fully capable of being attacked by the demons as well as being able to see them. This ability is often used when they are on the move and traveling to specific locations as well as in battles; it becomes invaluable in not setting the public into a frenzy of panic.

-Immortal, but not Invincible: The demons are not mortal, and therefore cannot be killed or destroyed permanently. Their bodies can be though *however difficult it may be*, and if their bodies are destroyed their spirits are sent back to the other side for a certain amount of time before they can once again be on the mortal plane.

-Associated, but not United: Though they are usually spoken of together, and together make up the four main categories of negative emotions, it is uncommon for the demons to interact with each other. Having polar opposite personalities and interests, many of them despise one-another. They usually only join forces to converge on a common goal or enemy and otherwise they work solo. Though it should be pointed out that pairs of them make devastating teams when they do work together. *Nyybas and Orobas & Apirus and Malphas*

My mom is quite awesome My stocking's contents contained seven pony blind bags, one of which contained Rainbow Dash (<3), and even though I already have her from a Cloudsdale Figure Set I got from my friend a day or two ago, my sister can have the duplicate. Will make her happy. In addition, I got a pony calendar :3 And the best part? July, my birthday month, is Dashie. FuckYeah.JPG

Let's see. Oh, new Rainbow Dash shirt as well, with Dash's famous mane silhouette, found here:

As a side note, I got a new mouse to replace my old one that's been derping, and a new laptop battery as well.

Hope everyone else is or has had plenty of fun, too~

Very specific, random poll, yes? Well, after having a brief discussion with Motion Spark about navel piercings on guys after bringing it up in another blog about piercings in general, I decided I was curious about other people's thoughts.

I've stated once or twice in specific locations around the board now that I plan on getting my navel pierced sometime in the next year or so, (or at least that's the hope...procrastination ) and yes, I'm a relatively skinny guy who is a bi. But I personally could care less what society and it's usually retarded stereotypes think; I'd think about getting mine pierced even if I were straight.

As society has it, only guys who are skinny or of average body types could even pull it off, because chubby or overweight does not work at all in visual appeal. Society would also have it that bi or gay males are the majority of males who would or should even consider this. But then, what are your thoughts regarding males and navel rings? Should they only be done on specific body types, or should anyone feel comfortable with getting one? Should only bisexual or gay males consider them, or does it not matter what orientation someone is? Does the type of navel ring have a significant impact, with something simple as opposed to something flashy? I already have my own beliefs, of which are set in stone, but still, I'm curious to what the rest of you all think

As if razor sharp needles of putrid ice were piercing her heart, the older sister confronted the blackened alicorn with hot tears falling from her eyes. But there was no sympathy left for those tears, now. Those empty, shallow eyes stared back with no such love for the Princess of the Sun. She tried to tell herself that it was for the best, she tried to convince herself that there was no other way; but Celestia still wept as the gems of ancient magic bathed the monster that had consumed her sister in a spectrum of light.

"Luna won't you cry for me, I'm as lonely as I've ever been. I'm am forced back into the start; is there any way to fix a broken heart?"

This piece is absolutely stunning in terms of both color and emotional impact from the character expressions. Nightmare Moon's expression, above all else, is just perfect. It sends chills up my spine seeing the cold, detesting look in her eyes; likewise, looking at Celestia, her weeping, sorrowful look makes you feel for her. That 'polar opposites' aspect matches these two perfectly in this situation, and that's what makes this art piece so fantastic. I guess my one and only criticism is that Nightmare Moon's mane looks way too solid; it feels like it's actual hair, when it's actually even more wispy and ethereal than Celestia or older Luna's mane. Just a nitpick though; it still looks wonderful.

Tales of a Magical Land by InuHoshi-to-DarkPen

"Gather round young ones, and I shall begin; a tale of a monster and the ponies whom did win."

The more the mystical enchantress's melodic and rhyming voice spoke, the more the young Zebra foals looked on in amazement. Into her cauldron went a variety of colorful powders, causing sparks and hissing bubbles to erupt from inside. The eyes of the children lit up and their mouths dropped open, as a steamy cloud of smoke arose from the pot.

"Lord Discord, master of strife, did attack Ponyville, where harmony was found rife. The brave ponies did stand up to their foe, overcoming his curse of disharmony and woe. Together their powers combined, releasing harmony upon his chaotic behind."

The large figure of Discord scowled at six small figures approaching him from the depths of the green cauldron mist. In a shocking blast, he was hit with a powerful blast of lightened smoke, blasting from the figures like a beam. Discord vanished, and the children gasped.

"Equestria saved from disharmony once more, the brave ponies of Ponyville did create this legendary lore."

Yes, I came up with all that myself :3 This one was really cool, and a really neat concept. Zecora goes back to her homeland sometime in the future, and tells the tales of Equestria that she brought back with her. The biggest one being the defeat of the Spirit of Chaos, himself. I love Zecora's eyes and expression, you can really tell she's in her element when she's dealing with her brews and telling stories. I believe it's what she loved/would love to do when back at her home.

    Fastest things alive+ by ThatStupidAnto

"Heh, up for another race, Skittles?" Came the playfully bragging voice of a spiky blue rodent. He had just ricocheted himself off a boulder, hit the ground running and then stopped not far from a certain blue rainbow pony. Said pony was lounging lazily in a low-hanging, puffy white cloud. It didn't take many 'YO!''s from Sonic to wake her, though. Before long she snorted awake and peeked over the side of cloud.

All it took was Sonic's cocky grin to get the pegasus going. She jumped from her cloud and landed with a thud on the warm, green grass. With another moment, the sound barrier shattered with a sonic boom as the two fastest animals on the planet took off, side by side, into the horizon.

As all those who have talked with me for any length of time, or have read through my profile should know, I've been a Sonic fan for years. I may have obtained ponies as a second obsession, but that doesn't mean they have to remain separate. I picture Dash and Sonic as the greatest friendly rivals and friends around, and I just love the idea of them together, hanging out, racing, or cracking jokes about the villains they've fought or the adventures they've been on. This piece was simple yet very colorfully vibrant, and it really captured the two characters well, showing their playful nature through expression and pose.

    Lighten up by Geckofly

"Oh Celestia, you really need to lighten up."

Thick coils wrapped and intertwined around her body like a boa constrictor, the princess could not escape the flexible monster's hypnotic eyes. Even a strength such as hers could not withstand the point blank magic of the Spirit of Disharmony. Slowly but surely her vibrant mane lost it's color and descended to complimentary shades of grey. Her bright snow white body followed suit, and Discord could only grin as his ultimate triumph was at hand. Celestia's frightful look was replaced by the same goofy grin he himself possessed.

"That's better. Now, let's us two go liven up your subjects lives, shall we?"

I dunno, I really liked the concept of this piece. I don't think I've ever seen a Discorded Celestia before, nor Discord using his body like a boa constrictor, so this piece caught my eye very quickly. I believe Celestia Discorded would make her a careless prankster, similar to Discord himself. Trollestia come to life, maybe? Anyway, Celestia's mane looks awfully frigid and it irritates me, but that's my one and only criticism. I love the expressions; Celestia's terrified and Discord is thrilled xD

    I Was Busy... by Nos-talgia

The cool night breeze had long swept over the tiny river, and caused it move with perfect synchrony. Cooled and lacking any disruptions in the water, the river reflected the sky above perfectly, creating a sense of a double-world, all through reflection. It was above this reflective world where a single pegasus had snuggled herself onto a thick branch, overhanging the river. Long having fallen asleep, she snoozed softly, rump sticking up the branch, hoof dangling down towards the world below her.

I had this as my desktop a few days ago. I can't get over the tranquility all throughout the piece, and how adorable Dash's pose looks, albeit a little uncomfortable. I also think the inclusion of the flora on the branch was rather nice, it adds to the serenity of the piece. Overall, this piece just makes me want to go fall asleep against the cool pillows and blankets, huggling my Dashie plush, simply by looking it over <3

Instead of trying to throw this news out to everyone individually, I'm simply going to create a blog, and redirect everyone to it ^^

Also, nice Luna banner, excellent job, Dreamwalker.

Yesterday was going to be perfect, the kind of day of which I dreamed since I was small. But instead of moderating, spending time in Skype chatting, something horrible attacked my body worst of all. If any of you are aware what a kidney stone is, then I probably don't need to say much more. But for those who don't, here's the story in a nutshell.

Several hours after my moderation promotion was pronounced, and I spent time chatting with staff in skype, trying to get to know everyone better while learning the ropes of how the site's mechanics work, I suddenly felt a harsh pain in the back of my lower left abdomen. My first thought was gas build-up, or perhaps something else related to my intestines. But when the pain didn't subside, and I couldn't go to the bathroom, I was doubtful.

Vomiting from how intense the pain was ensued, and to the emergency room I went, at ten at night.

Low and behold, just like when I was seven years old, I had a kidney stone.

By the time I got into an emergency table and a nurse got in, I was in so much pain that I'm pretty sure I know what childbirth for women must feel like, and I'm sorrowfully not joking. Thankfully, an IV aided me in both re-hydration and pain killing, which actually got me to regain some sanity from the pain. After a few hours, and some samples from certain bodily fluids to make sure I didn't have a kidney infection, I was sent home.

I'm glad to say that I feel fine today, still. No pain, no nausea. I do however have twenty-four hours worth of the same medicine in small pill form to kill the pain and nausea that the doctors used on me. So I should be set.

So yeah Sorry for vanishing so suddenly.

For all those who didn't know, *since nobody seems to ever really pay attention to Mailmare's entries*, I felt I might as well blog this post, since the tournament is going today as well. All of yesterday and today, there's a live Fighting is Magic Tournament going on, and the seller is Dash is near completion as a character. Minus her super attack, walking animation and a few other minor things, she's still completely playable, and can be seen throughout the tournament as fighters take each other on. Go to the stream, watch and enjoy both gameplay and commentary :3

Whoo boy, haven't gotten one of these done in a while. As it is though, I've now amassed a whole legions' worth of new art on DeviantART, so I'm compelled to make another update. So, while Scootaluna rages over how I'm choosing to blog instead of roleplay our Scootalove story, here's C.Discord to bring more captioned pony artwork, to blow your socks off.

    Royal Quality Time by WeirdoFish

"Fair sister! Thou cheetath!" Came the thunderous voice of a deep blue princess. Horn ablaze with magic, she stared down at the small device in front of her face, enraged at her sisters' antics.
"Luna, don't blame me for the fact that I've had more time to practice this game than you." Came the sweet voice of Celestia, sitting elegantly and giggling as Luna fumed.
"We have so little experience because of thine choice to send us to the moon, Tia!" Luna growled, watching in horror as her character was beaten yet again. "There are no games on the moon!"

Luna's face is worth this entire piece. I really like her pose as well, it captures her tension and irritation just as well as her hilarious face does. Then there's Celestia, smirking calmly in a very elegant and relaxed pose. Outside their professional appearances to the public, I can totally see them acting this way when it's just the two of them. The background for this piece may have just been grabbed as a screenshot, but the character poses and expressions were just too funny for me to pass up.

Whoever brings the night by fantazyme

Using her magic to raise the comforting and dim moon up into the sky over Equestria, the Princess of the Night bid her sister a good night. Though she was often nocturnal in order to take care of the kingdom while her sister slept, this night was different. This night, the princess felt a bit under the weather. Her sister giving her permission to do so, and offering to stay up for her, Luna drifted into her pleasant dreams. Her ethereal mane losing it's form in her unconscious state, it drifted over her sheets, covering them with a hazy blue aurora.

This is a beautiful piece of Luna that captures her essence well. I love how her mane was done in a much more mist-like like form as opposed to her normal ethereal mane. All of the dark colors create a perfect atmosphere for night, and even the pillows are a soft, dim color. Let's see...I'd say lastly, the mane's style of actually looking like a misty night sky, merging off of Luna's head and taking over the rest of the picture, almost makes it look like an abstract look into Luna's dreams. I think it's pretty profound when you look at it like that.

    Learning to teleport by Takina-Rainbow

"There you are, Twilight." Came the majestic and regal voice of the princess, trotting down the path and coming into the shadow of a young oak tree. Her voice, usually peaceful and calm, now held behind it a trace of relief. Her eyes, sparkling in the light of her own beaming sun were even more of a dead giveaway to her apparent concern.
"Oh, I'm so sorry princess!" Came the high-pitched, apologetic voice of a purple filly, clinging to a branch overhead. "I tried my best! I-I'll do it right if you give me another chance, promise!"
"It's quite alright, my dear. I'm just glad you're not hurt." Celestia chuckled.

More Celestia? I can't seem to get away from the Princess's, huh? Maybe it's because all their art is either gorgeous, funny or adorable. Anyway, this piece is no different. Filly Twilight first learning how to teleport from her new teacher is adorable, and I thought the angle of this was perfect, since it gives you the downward look on Celestia, while maintaining a view of Twilight and her predicament. The background feels a little weak to me, but like I said, cuteness, poses and expression beat out any of my minor complaints about this piece.

Sleeping or Something lol by SonicRainboom93

"Me?...really? Yeah...I'd love to go flying with you Spitfire, just let me get my..." Rainbow Dash's left ear continued to twitch periodically as she mumbled and grumbled in her sleep. There against the soft green grass, she was utterly content. However, grass was not the only thing the blue weather pony had as a pillow. A certain purple unicorn found herself gazing up at the open, vast sky while Dash snored next to her.

Cuddling ponies are best ponies. Twilight's eyes are completely irresistible in this one, and I love how both of their hooves are curled up in that 'sleeping' fashion. I also really like the shadows in this one that were pulled off with the pony's hairline, it's very realistic. Lastly, I like how Dash's head is pushed under Twilight ever so slightly. She may be a tomboy, but I can picture Dash cuddling whatever's available, in order to be comfortable in her sleep.

No One Wants My Chocolate Rain by secoh2000

The Spirit of Chaos, they called him. The Personification of Disharmony, Disorder, and even Evil itself. Amidst his fun and games, his disorder and disharmony, they would run and flee. They would hide and ostracize him, label him a villain. And you know...he loved it. He thought it was hilarious. Discord, the Spirit of Chaos. It had a great ring to it. He thrived on their reactions. He fed off their fear and laughed on his throne as they tore themselves apart.

But...even the most mischievous of creatures can feel loneliness. All this chocolate rain, and not a soul to share it with.

I thought this was a pretty sad piece, that makes you feel almost a tad of sympathy for Discord. Maybe not for his actions, but for the fact that he is truly alone in the world. I felt the expression was sad yes, but you know what I find even more sad? The red balloon he's letting go of. The unsure, blank expression on it's face, and the fact Discord looks so heart-breakingly upset in letting it go is just heart-wrenching, in it's own way.
