Although I find face and body piercings wierd, I agree it's a sort of self-expression. I have an ear piercing, which isn't very uncommon. though I wouldn't think of getting a navel piercing but whatever floats people's boats I guess.

I dont believe piercings should be gender oriented... i just dislike them all together. I personally see them as gross.

I'm a man of general respect, and I let people do their own thing, regardless if it has not such a positive reputation in the general public. So, yeah, I think it's fine whatever people, and you, wanna do. :3

I've never liked piercings. They just don't look good to me.

Additionally I think navel piercings are even worse, than say, ear piercings.

I find all piercings somewhat distasteful, and I don't really understand the point of them. That being said, I respect everyone's right to do what they want with their bodies.

I personally don't care for piercings, save for on the ears, but if you want one, go ahead and get it.

No piercings for me, ever.

But whatever others want to do with themselves is fine, navel piercings or otherwise.

I would never perforate any part of my body, though piercings on my nipples would look hot :3, I don't mind piercings on other people (males) and even think that they look ok, thanks to a very good example! belly button piercings can look good on males as well.

why do you guys think that piercings are a way of self-expression? do I have to express something if I want to get a piercing? no! I just want one because it looks good! end! nothing to express here (this was an example)

If you want self expression get a tattoo, piercings, as correctly stated by Mr Spark up there ^ are just to look cool.

I have no problems with any kinds of piercings on anyone but I would find it strange for a guy to have something girly or flashy.

I've entertained the idea of getting my eyebrow, lip and ear pierced, but I couldn't get either of them tbh

Well, I dislike the idea of getting a piercing or a tattoo - actually a lot, I do not think I will ever get a piercing or a tattoo unless forced to it by half a dozen armed ponies. I really hate that thought and would not do this to my body.

But to each their own, and society stereotypes can go suck themselves - so, anybody should be able to get any piercing / whatever they want Only thing is that people should consider whatever do they want to risk the immature reaction of society or not.

My personal idea when I see a piercing ? It usually brings rather uncomfortable thoughts of how terrible must it be to walk the world with your skin pierced, but I honestly don't care about the gender or body structure of individual wearing one.
