I don't necessarily think he was ruined. Side characters tend to not be ruined since they to not have as much of a character as the main character. Oh, and what's this about him not saying a lot anymore? He hasn't said a lot before. He will have those rare moments where he does talk but those are rare, as it brings more of a surprise to the audience. 

(Next people will be saying that Derpy was ruined.)

I don't like Jerry Peet. As a matter of fact I find him to be one of the biggest pricks. And that's not just because of his Glass of Water videos! You should check out the things he did in Tumblr. It's disturbing. Plus, he's a supporter of Pinkiepony.

What?  Seriously?!  No no.  That's amazingly far from the truth.  Math, surprisingly enough, actually makes sense.  The reason a lot of people do badly in math is because they stare at new concepts telling themselves "This doesn't make sense" over and over instead of trying to make sense out of it.  If you want math to be easier on you, remember to tell yourself "This DOES make sense, I just have to find the sense in it."  Seriously, treat math as a puzzle game.  Learn the rules of the game and it'll be easier.  In fact, since math is all about finding patterns and logic, human brains, once they "get it" tend to want to do more math because your brain is designed to make you feel pleasure when you find patterns and follow logic.

 

 

Now that that's out of the way, what I hated about school is how they make you learn so many useless things.  Learning the elements of the periodic table?  Ha!  They actually give me a copy of the periodic table in college whenever I need it.  English as a second language? (English is not my first language)  They taught me the exact same things for years and I ended up learning more by watching TV.  Biology?  Yeah, that changes so much that I'm now learning that everything I learned in school about it was wrong.

 

And here's my favorite.  Math?  If you are not going to be a scientist, engineer, or computer programmer, you don't need to learn anything beyond pre-algebra or even just basic adding, subtracting, multiplying, and division. Seriously, they just want you to learn math just in case you choose a high-end math career later, but even then you didn't have to spend years in school learning it because if you need it, they'll just re-teach it to you in college.  Assuming you are not a high-end math student, they somehow still want you to math while studying.

 

My other problem with school is teachers that don't know how to teach.  I've had enough teachers who put stuffs on the wall, explain it, then go and do the opposite, get lost in their explanation, and then blame the students for not being smart enough.  I'd say the worse was my first gym teacher.  He refused to teach sports to a lot of students because they weren't good a it, but how were they supposed to be good at it if he refuses to teach?

 

For all of those still in school, hang in there.  Sure, it can be a pain, but later on, even if you don't need whatever they teach you, you do need your diploma and such to find a good career.  You'll be happy you got it over with later, especially if you get a good job.

 

 

If you can't tell by all this rant, I'm probably going to be a teacher.

I will say, I have an easier time in Algebra and even got an A on it last semester.

Geometry however, keep that away from me.

The blocked websites: Why do we need to need websites blocked? To block people from looking at porn? Most people would not do that in a computer lab in front of people. And most of the websites you block can still be used for educational purposes.

Waking up so early in the morning: Why does school start so early? Why do I have to wake up this early? My brain can't even function fully at 7:30 in the morning. It's especially hell during Winter when you live far away from the school and you have to also walk out to the bus stop in the cold when the sun is not even up yet. Make school start at an actual decent time. In elementry school, it started between 8:30-9:00. You know, a decent time.

Homework: It really cuts into your forum surfing time. And some assignments feel unnecessary.

Students: There are the decent people. But then there are those people who are just jerks who want to make your school life miserable.

Stuff you learn: Most of it is useless. Let me tell you a typical math problem you'll need to know for a standardized test: "If Sally has 3 apples and gives John 2, what's the distance between the sun and Chicago, in millimeters? Oh, and solve for X.

Because if there's one thing I know about the internet, it's that people freak out to any small changes made.

I remember when it was announced that Twilight would become an alicorn, and everyone flipped out claiming the show "ruined" before the episode even aired.

They then make up ridiculous claims like, "This change was made to sell toys. Hasbro is EVILLLLL!" When really, the show itself was made to sell toys. It has always been from the beginning. Heck, most cartoons from the 80s were made to sell toys.

Sometimes people try way too hard to hate a change. Twilight's new castle? That got a petition. Essentially, the people who signed that wanted DHX to retcon any form of development just so they can see Twilight in that precious library.That's actually worse story telling than any criticisms I've seen tackled at a typical episode.

Thinking about it, I feel like MLPForums' tournaments (or tourneys as I call them) are kind of just a giant flame war waiting to happen. You usually have 2+ ponies that both have huge fanbases who are probably just as determined for each other to win to tourney.

 

I mean, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?

Must I bring up my blog on why best pony tournaments are civil wars?

I would be more happy if they just would declare Luna winner by now. By competing we made ourself a target again, and the rest of the fandom is of course more than willing to show how much they hate Rarity again.

Should have stayed off the site for as long as that turney runs its sad course.

This is why I stopped competing in tournaments. Too many times they escalate into fighting and outright insulting people instead of being good sports.

 

In all seriousness, 90% of the complaints I hear about seasons 3&4 are things that could easily be leveled at the first two seasons just as well(and season 1, everyone's favorite sacred cow is actually pretty shaky when compared to what came after when it really hit it's stride) and that leads me to think of the above when said complaints roll out.  

It's just people trying way too hard to declare the show is going downhill, by making up reasons that could easily apply to the first 2.

I feel this is one of those topics that purposely shoots for viability via intense dislike; elicits a decent number of replies that way. Oh no - I replied. o_O It apparently works lol. xD

We talking about other over hated seasons? Okay. In that case the only not so good episodes I found from season 3 were One Bad Apple, Spike at your Service, and Just for Sidekicks.

I got a 19. That sounds about right. There are days when I feel neglected by everyone, like I'm just that guy.

Pokemon. Just that. Most Pokemon toys games, and VHS/DVDs of the anime I had.

Also, I really loved carrying around stuffed animals. I've switched around between them throughout my childhood. I've had teddy bears, turtles, monkeys, Pokemon, characters from movies I liked at the time, all kinds of stuff.

Wait wait wait, this what this is all over? A freaking suspicion that the Patriots cheated? That sounds like the Colts were just bitter little kids that are angry that the lost. Do they have any evidence that it was deflated? You know, besides claims.

I don't think EQG was made just to spite the fans. Hasbro has done questionable things in the past, but I don't think they're that mean, since they seem to love the fans. I heard when it was first announced, that it was made because of all the humanized pony art there are in the fandom.

I don't even think they knew the fandom would freak out to this. This was probably planned before the fandom had a lot of drama, i.e. people ranting on crap they don't like, since a season alone takes almost a year to make.

Name

 

The name itself doesn't really seem like it would fit into pony canon, nor does it really match the cutie mark all too well. You don't have to change it if you don't want to, but:

all seem alright. But changing the name is up to you.

 

Appearance 

 

The only real problem I have with the design is the bright yellow, tone it down a bit and the appearance will be fine. Even now the yellow is bright but not eye-strain level bright. Everything else looks fairly normal.

 

Personality 

 

There's not much to talk about here other than feelings of uselessness/social issues and being basically shy of his cutie mark. There needs to be more traits involved here. Perhaps give him various traits along the line of "shy but opens up to friends", "determined but is willing to ask for help if things get too bad", "mature but willing to have fun", or "easily capable of running a business but does include help", anything along those lines.

 

Backstory

 

Personally, I've always disliked when OC ponies are related/in love with canon characters so I will be docking some points off for that. It's your OC so do what you like, I just don't like shipping OCs with canon ponies, especially the mane 6. There's not much of a backstory other than owning a comic book store and a fanclub (the fanclub being extremely believable since Rainbow does have her own fanclub). So I don't have much to comment on here.

 

Cutie Mark

 

Cutie mark seems fine and matches with what kind of clubs/businesses he runs. A comic book cutie mark would probably work better but the autograph notepad works fine.

 

I give it a C for being relatively undeveloped but not bad.

 

This seems pretty accurate. The stuff in there was made last year. We have since then added more to the character. Like the fact that he grew up in Manehattan, has asthma, and was kind of bullied in his childhood (OK that part is kind of cliched).
