      ya the heat sink, thats it, i took apart my computer becuase i had to put in a new motherboard and when i took the heat sink out the thermal gel was on it

      the thermal paste is the sticky wight stuff under the (please excuse my un-tech suaveness) sliver thing that looks like a mini shelf of a sort
