I was around 12 or 13 when it premiered, given that I'm 20 now. What a time that was, stumbling up ancient PMVs thinking the show actually looked pretty cool, but I was to "manly" to watch it. Around the time Season 2 aired, one of my best friends got into it and I decided to check it out. Instantly became a fan after that. 

Watched the newest Steven Bomb a few days ago which I didn't really care for. I'm glad others were able to enjoy the new episodes but they felt like a major set back to me. Especially "Raising the Barn", which not only felt like a retread, but a retread that will lead into more retreaded plotlines. 

Also watched 2012 TMNT pretty recently, only on Season 3. People say The Loud House is Nick's only good show, but TMNT is pretty fantastic. The action is some of the best i've seen in animation and although the jokes sometimes fall flat, the humor is very likable and enjoyable if that makes any sense. The overall story is pretty interesting too, lots of twists, turns and unexpected developments. 

Been catching up on Marvel's Spider-Man. People say the show is atrocious, but I think it's okay, nothing groundbreaking but certainly not "Marvel's Teen Titans Go" as people call it. The pacing of the show is weird, though. Even though episodes are 22 minutes long, they feel like 4 minute long shorts with the brisk pacing and the way Peter narrates what's going on. Just to give an idea how quick the pacing is, they did the Symbiote arc...at episode 11 and theirs already two Spider-Men (Peter and Miles) by episode 14. The show just needs time to breath, man. Season 1 feels like Season 3 if that makes any sense.

I plan on catching up on Power Rangers Ninja Steel soon since it's on Netflix now. I didn't care for the episodes I caught on Nick before, but I saw room for improvement. Dino Charge was just so good that I hope Ninja Steel followups on that. I need to catch up on Kyuranger, too. 

Last thing I purchased was a pet Cockatiel, though I haven't been able to pick it up yet. I hope it arrives soon, my other bird is getting lonely.

Other then that, the last thing I brought was some comics on comixology (never again) and before that was a bigger bird cage on my birthday, which was almost 4 months ago. I'm rather stingy with my money.

I use to wear glasses back in elementary school. Not sure when I decided to stop wearing them, but I'm pretty sure it was by 4th or 5th grade, or at least I knew I didn't have them when I went to middle-school. My eyesight is pretty bad but I don't wear glasses or contacts. I manage just fine without them, but reading stuff from afar is pretty annoying.

Hi there! Like you, I'm an old fan who recently decided to get back into the show since I kept hearing it kept getting better after I dropped off. I hope you enjoy it here, I'm very new myself but has been community is excellent so far.

In Micro-Series Issue 8, there's a flashback to a battle/war fought in Canterlot, with a pony nearly getting hit, and thus killed, in the crossfire but is saved at the last moment. They wouldn't really make a big deal out of that unless they can in fact die. There are also several historical Ponies mentioned in past tense, implying they're no longer of this world. 

That said, things in Equestria seem to live for an astronomically long time regardless. The Crystal Ghost in the comics for example was hiding away from Sombra for over 100 years, which wasn't seen as a big deal by it or Twilight. Unicorns like Starswirl the Bearded have also apparently lived for hundreds of years.  

I live on a farm in rural North Carolina, approximately 10 or so miles away from Thomasville. I guess that's not to rural but still, nothing but wilderness and hills surround my house. It's pretty peaceful, sans the occasional coyote, though they've yet to bother us, but still, waking up to a coyote outside your window is pretty freaky. Only real downside is it's pretty hard to get anywhere. The landscape makes taking walks way harder then it should be, with massive hills and the like. 

Well, I'm only up to Issue 23-ish of main series, so I'm not as caught up as the rest of you but here are my opinions so far. 

(Note: I read out of the "Adventures in Friendship" collections, so I'm unsure what the exact issue of some of these are) 

1. Friends Forever Issue 20. Both very uplifting and tragic, while still being a fun read all the way through. Luna and Discord have some surprisingly good chemistry as others have said, and Discords uncle-like relationship with the CMC warmed my heart. A really solid issue.

2. The Return of Queen Chrysalis. Honestly I felt the arc was to good, being the first issue, it set the standard way to high in my eyes. Fantastic artwork with great use of lighting, perspective and coloring. The writing was consistently solid, funny when it meant to be, serious when it had to be, heartwarming when it wanted to be. Chrysalis made a great villain who was both humorous while also threatening .

3. Reflections. A tragic and creative story that gets more weight the more of the 'Old Equestria' comics come out. The visuals was fantastic, I loved the 'Dark' reality and everything in it.

4. Bookworm arc. I don't hear much people talk about it, but I really enjoyed this arc. It was a really creative story with good adventure that was constantly changing and shifting. The visuals never got boring or stale after awhile (which was my problem with Nightmare Rarity) and it really had me guessing what they were gonna do next on my first read. My issues with it is I felt like it ended to abruptly and Bookworm's 'character arc' feel flat to me.

5. Friends Forever Issue 26. I just have to give it props for turning one of the most one note and unlikable characters into a character I can root for. Blueblood was awesome in it.

Anyways, I don't play the PC version, I play the much more simplistic (and hat free) console version. I'm a pretty kick ass sniper, and medic but when I'm not playing support I go as Pyro or Demo. As for how long, I first started playing back in 2013.

Is the Console version still up and running? I remember hearing from my friends that it was pretty much dead back in 2015. 

@cpl_dixon That reminds me of the time me and my friends went on a server all as Battle Medics and wrecked shop. Good times. 

Out of al the songs, Bad Seed and This Day Aria are the songs I listen to the most. The Flim Flam song is really good too. I don't really have a list, though.

I've been playing since either 2013 or 2014 and generally enjoyed my time since then, but I've never been glued to the screen. I've amassed about 1,142 hours apparently according to Steam, but I used to idle a lot so who knows. I main Medic, Demoman, Pyro in PVP. Scout, Engineer, Heavy and Soldier in MVM. Though I'll still play as Heavy, Scout and Engi in single player in certain situations. I'm a bit of a combat Medic, which has offered mixed success. 

I tried competitive a few times, but was never really successful at it. Nowadays I mostly mess around in smaller servers or play MVM.

@Travlein It's a bit of a tall order, but If I can watch all 7 seasons of Adventure Time + Read the comics in a week, then I'm sure I can rewatch all of Ponies to catch up. And I'd love to play TF2 with you some day, I main Medic, Demo and Pyro.

@EquinoxDancer The comics are great! What I love about them is they really expand upon the universe of the show. We see just how Twilight actually raised Spike, how Shining Armor met Cadance, how Celestia's treated Luna before and after the Nightmare Moon incident (which isn't a pretty sight). We even see glimpses of old Equestrian wars, historical figures, mythological events and even other kingdoms and their histories throughout the comics run, but they still remain focused on the characters from the show for the most part. Theirs even some character development in the comics, like Discord bonding with the CMC. A bond that actually last multiple issues. Other then that, the comics generally just have really creative stories, like when the Mane Six had to stop a being who could create and devour entire 'storybooks', realities based off books and novels they read, or when Discord tried to help the CMC get their cutie marks...by turning them into Power Rangers, Starfleet Commanders, Sports Stars and Lion Tamers. The biggest problem is sometimes story arcs end to abruptly, especially the Salty Sea Mare and Bookworm arcs.

Hey, everyone! My name is Dark, or Jordan. 

I'm a long time fan of the show, been watching for nearly a decade at this point. Nowadays I'm mostly a fan of the comic series, which I've heard mixed things about in the fandom, but I personally really like. I kind of fell out of the fandom in around 2014, as most of my friends who were into the show either moved on, or were no longer in easy contact. Back then, to me, I had to be able to talk about a show to my friends to like it, a philosophy I've (thankfully) since abandoned. That leads me to my biggest question:

I've watched the first two seasons on repeat pretty much everyday when I was 13, so I have a near photographic memory of those seasons, but only have vague memories of Season 3 and 4. I hear Seasons 5-7 are great from the few friends I have that watch the show, and I want to catch up, but I'm unsure if I should rewatch the entire series over or if I should only watch the better episodes. I'm leaning towards a complete rewatch, to see if the episodes I thought were bad are still bad from a more 'refined' and 'mature' angle, episodes like Power Ponies and Just For Sidekicks were particularly hard to watch episodes when they first aired, so I'm curious to see how they hold up now. 

Man, there are so much more comics, seasons and specials nowadays, it's a little overwhelming, but at least I'll have stuff to keep me busy for awhile..

Outside of Ponies, I'm a huge fan of an array of nerdy stuff, such as Power Rangers, Ultraman, Super Sentai, Scooby Doo, Pokemon, Digimon, Harry Potter, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, IDW Comics, Peanuts by Schulz, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Las Leyendas and so on. I also play a lot of video games, but less so over the years. I mostly play Sonic games, Team Fortress 2, The X-Men Legends series and occasional Indie games that catch my attention. 

Other hobbies of mine include Astronomy, Mathematics (Physics, Geometry), Writing, Drawing, Table Top Role-Playing, Cartography and World Building. I have aspirations of becoming a screenwriter and maybe even a storyboarder if I get better at drawing. I'm also writing a novel, slowly, oh so slowly...

Not really sure if I have much else to say other then I'm excited to be here!

I love the show, but I get you. I tried introducing my best friend to it a few months ago since all of our mutual friends really enjoy it, and he didn't like it for the excess gore and violence, which to be fair, was the first exposure he really had to it by my hands (whoops). Which of the four episodes did you watch? The first four or a random assortment of episodes? There are sincere sentimental scenes in the series, but they are also all pretty short lived. "M. Night Shaym-Aliens!", "Meeseeks and Destroy", "A Rickle in Time" and "The Wedding Squanchers" are usually the ones people point at to prove that Rick loves his family dearly, but hides it under his abrasive and crude demeanor. 

There are other episodes that show the bond between Rick and Morty in a less sad way. The "Interdimensional Cable" duology is just Rick and Morty hanging out, watching weird TV and making comments about it in a chill, laidback way. It's pretty sweet in a way, just seeing the two enjoy each others company in a relaxed way. The last episode aired also shows how much Rick cares about Morty, albeit in a pretty messed up way (It is there darkest adventures, after all). 

What moments did you think were 'fake', if you don't mind me asking.
