Hah, reminds of the shrines that people would set up for their "waifus" back when I browsed /mlp/. To be fair, I've seen my fair share of crazy stuff in this fandom. Yes, to be clear, there are people who are that obsessed over the show. Not going to lie, I was somewhat one of them a few years ago in lets say 2013-2014. It's best just to not stay around those kinds of people though since their personalities are usually toxic.

As what I read from the article, there is a possibility of it being renewed. Netflix isn't a stranger to removing things though I guess since it mentioned another show that was recently removed.

This is honestly what I had in mind instead of it being 8 months. I'm actually not entirely sure which would would be more accurate.

This is probably a opinion that most share with me but I would say Season 3. Season 3 is just too short and left with the series biggest cliffhanger. I really don't think that Twilight ascending to an alicorn and just leaving it at that for months was too much of a good idea.

I want to say that the show itself would be fundamentally different, maybe based in Japanese culture in someway. I also would think the animation style would still be a bit more... animeized? To be fair, I don't know if there would be a fandom if launched in Japan. MLP has been an American thing for as long as I remember.

If you want my take on it and don't this as canon because this is what I believe. I think that every season could be seen as a month. So in my eyes, it has been 8 months since the beginning of season 1. It's not too far fetched but maybe it has been longer than that.
