    Ranking the 2nd episodes

    in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion

    Will be copy + pasting most of my thoughts from the ranking first episodes thread.

    A bit hard to judge episodes that are in halves in comparison to full ones.

    1. The Cutie Map Part 2 (S5) - Such an amazing episode. It doesn't need a big bad monster to be effective at conveying something sinister. There's just this level of uncertainty that makes this episode so intriguing.
    2. Return of Harmony Part 2 (S2) - This was the point where I realised that the show could have more dynamic stories with really interesting villains. Discord at his best, in my opinion.
    3. All Bottled Up (S7) - Fun Starlight/Trixie episode. Like I said, it's harder to rank a standard slice of life episode alongside the bigger premieres.
    4. The Beginning of the End Part 2 (S9) - King Sombra stole the show here. He was just defeated way too easily.
    5. The Crystal Empire Part 2 (S3) - Probably in the minority here, but I l liked this one.
    6. Friendship is Magic Part 2 (S1) - Fine, but I like Part 1 a lot more than this. I know it's the second half of the pilot, but this was way too by the numbers.
    7. Princess Twilight Sparkle Part 2 (S4) - Wasn't huge on this one. The idea of Twilight coming to terms with being an Alicorn is fine, but this was pretty underwhelming aside from that.
    8. The Crystalling Part 2 (S6) - It's okay. Starlight was the best part of the episode.
    9. School Daze Part 2 (S8) - It's okay.

    Ranking the 15th episodes

    in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion

    1. Rarity Investigates - The best RD/Rarity episode. The detective theme works way better than it has the right to.
    2. Feeling Pinkie Keen - Say what you will, but I loved this episode even if doesn't make any sense. The funny moments here are some of the best.
    3. The Hearth's Warming Club - Shows that Student Six can be great characters in their own right. I wish we had more of this.
    4. The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 - I thought this one was great. Flim and Flam are fine enough and are effective in fulfilling the whole devious conmen shtick.
    5. Twilight Time - It's decent. 
    6. Triple Threat - Thorax and Ember are good characters, but overall this episode was pretty bland for me
    7. 28 Pranks Later - There's some entertainment value here, but other than that, this wasn't that good.
    8. 2, 4, 6, Greaaat - Everyone else has said what needs to be said about this one.

    3. Friendship is Magic Part 1 (S1) - I actually like this better than Part 2. Good introduction and is actually pretty fun to go back to.
    4. The Beginning of the End Part 1 (S9)- The villain team up and Grogar was definitely a highlight. Unfortunately the stupid twist at the end of the season has soured my opinion a bit.
    5. The Crystal Empire Part 1 (S3) - Probably in the minority here, but I l liked this one.
    6. Princess Twilight Sparkle Part 1 (S4) - Wasn't huge on this one. The idea of Twilight coming to terms with being an Alicorn is fine, but this was pretty underwhelming aside from that.
    7. The Crystalling Part 1 (S6) - It's okay. Starlight was the best part of the episode.
    8. School Daze Part 1 (S8) - It's okay.
    9. Celestial Advice (S7) - Meh. Nothing wrong with it, but this one never stood out to me. Especially as a season premiere.

    Why was Pipp not as Important?

    in MLP Generation 5 (G5)

    Pipp's lack of overall importance is one of the reasons I think there was a bit of cut content in the movie. Zipp didn't have that much either to be fair, but Pipp was the most noticeable. The G4 movie had exact same issue with Fluttershy and Applejack, but that didn't bother me as much because those were already established characters.
