  1. Saw "Darkest Hour" yesterday, Gary Oldman was honestly fantastic as Churchill. Then watched "Spotlight" last night for the first time, it was extremely fascinating and yet captivating with its story. Highly recommend both of 'em.

  2. I swear to God this is 100% true. I once had a nightmare where I was being stalked by those creepy af SFM models. I would be walking along an alleyway at night and I'd turn around to see a SFM pony (might have been Rainbow Dash, can't exactly remember) standing 20 feet away from me, just staring me down. They even had the messed up SFM lighting engine on them so that their shadows were all low-res. It kept happening too, just in a variety of locations with different ponies each time. This was by far one of the weirdest dreams I've ever had, and Christ on a bike, it was just so surreal. You know how some people believe that dreams have meanings behind them? I don't even want to know just what that was supposed to mean.

  3. My definite favourites, in no particular order are:

    • RedLetterMedia
    • Caddicarus
    • I Hate Everything
    • Colossal Is Crazy
    • JAR Media
    • OneyPlays

I really feel that Caddicarus and RedLetterMedia don't get as much love as they should. Daddy Caddy is one of the funniest guys I've ever watched, and as for RedLetterMedia, what can I say? Plinkett reviews, Half in the Bag & Best of the Worst are better than most TV shows out there.

  4. In all honesty, I think it's entirely possible. The main problem with adapting a video game to a movie script is that of course most of it has to be cropped and condensed down in order to fit within a 90 minute or 120 minute running time. I believe it's all about the execution of such, a good example is the Lord of the Rings movies; nobody thought it would be possible to adapt the books to the big screen, it was believed to be impossible. Yet, we ended up getting one of the most critically, financially and fan-loved trilogies of all time. There are definitely stories/concepts within games that would make excellent movies, but the problem is that major studios typically dump the responsibilities of producing, writing and directing onto people who have little to no interest in what they're actually making or they are just too inexperienced and haven't had to tackle the situation of adaptation before. The Lord of the Rings was a huge risk with it's production, and yet it was a passion project by those who'd made it.

That's all it would take really; directors, writers and producers that are competent enough and have a passion for what they're doing. Unfortunately there aren't many movies made today that had a creative vision behind them, now most movies are sequels or soft-reboots that are only made to turn a profit. It still is possible, but unlikely in today's climate of cinema.

  6. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony

How did you find MLP Forums?

How you became a fan of My Little Pony

    Greetings everyone! SnakeEater here.

I'm a full-time student with strong interests in technology, film, lifting/exercising and reading/writing. I'm from the country that has the Unicorn as it's national animal (honestly have no clue why it is :D), I'm a keen Graphic Designer/Artist from time to time and a diehard David Bowie fan. I'm here to pretty much to meet new people and well, find an online community in which I can socialize with other fans of the show. This is actually my return to the fandom, I first joined in late 2014 but left in order to focus on my studies and social life, but now, three years later, I'm back with a vengeance. :smug:

So yeah that's pretty much it! I'm very open to conversation and meeting new people and I hope that it's all smooth sailing from here!

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and have a fantastic day everyone. 👌
