    With an angry glance, Rose shouted in the pony's ear. "Shut up!!!" She looked at Arrow. "For that I'd like you to call Foedus so he can cuff our suspect and let us interrogate him at the Police Department!" The mare looked around to make Arrow notice they were still in the Hayburger, with pony citizens around. Quite the inaccurate place to interrogate a delinquent.

    Tilting her head away from the beam in reflex, Rose didn't waste any second and jumped out of her chair, onto the pony attacking her and landed on him, wrapping her hoof around his neck to firmly hold him in a headlock. To make sure he wasn't likely to shoot again and hurt anypony, the Captain took a magic blocker and quickly placed it on his horn. "DON'T YOU DARE MOVE!! YOU ARE UNDER ARREST FOR VANDALIZING CANTERLOT AND MOST OF ALL FOR PONYCIDE ATTEMPT ON A MEMBER OF THE ROYAL GUARDS!!!" It was clear by her yell that she was furious, and it was better for anypony to refrain from making it worse. "Arrow, call Foedus immediately! I might have the pony he's looking for!"

    "Exactly, you're right. That's just lack of competence." She looked at the guy and raised an indifferent eyebrow at him. "Well I did. I'm looking for competent officers, not ponies who flee away at the first enemy encountered. Thank goodness Somnus and Arrow disobeyed you. Plus, do you think you can get away with vandalizing Canterlot?"

    "This would be the perfect proof of his lack of maturity. Both senses of duty and responsibility are mandatory to have if you want to become a good captain."

    "Well then, if we arrest him in the Castle, I'll be sure to let you know immediately."

    Rose nodded at Arrow's reply. "Exactly." She looked at the police officer "A red and green pony? Is it a stallion or a mare? Please be a little more specific."

    "I know Somnus is experienced. What I mean is as Captain I am responsible of everyone's safety in the Castle. This is what the Royal Guards are for. That means I get to do what is best for everyone's safety, whether Somnus is happy with that or not. And if I'm forced to convince Celestia about Ruby being too dangerous to stay, I'll do it even if Somnus hates me after this. This is just hypothetical though and I'll only do it if Ruby starts attacking."

    "That's what I thought. I'll just wait for signs revealing she's in kill mode. Somnus won't ever be able to stop me this time."

    Rose made quite the upset face when hearing Arrow. "I seriously hope this is not the case, because this would lead to consequences you don't wish to happen." She looked at the stallion working here. "Hmm, I'd like the Double Burger please."

    Breaking news! Princess Luna is preparing a Coup d'Etat against her sister!

    Rose gave it a thought. "You're right, that might be one reason. Though I doubt she'll ever care if I make the guards respect her. You know her." "And what can I do about this? I'm just making sure Celestia's rule is applied, no more, no less."

    Both ponies were now out of the Castle. Some time later, they arrived at Canterlot's Hayburger. Rose made her way in.

    Breaking news! Princess Luna created the Equestrian Air Force!

    "I don't object to you taking service again after you heal." Rose nodded before looking at Arrow. Rose chuckled a bit before nodding once again. "We were indeed! Let's get there then. And when I say get there, I mean walk there. Just to be clear." the Captain told Arrow since she knew he was going to teleport them there and was likely ending up somewhere dangerous again.

    "I guess I got my answer. You're not going on duty before getting fully healed. Or if you really want to take service again now, you'll be great help cleaning the Castle or peeling potatoes. These two tasks need no heavy moves after all." She turned to Arrow. "Please quit teasing her. We're not here for a clash."

    "I heard you wanted to be on duty again. Is your leg better?"

    As soon as both ponies arrived, Rose knocked on the door three times and pulled it open. She quickly looked at Ruby to greet her but her eyes laid on Somnus. "Hello Somnus, I was looking for you. You have a minute?" Captain asked as she motioned the batpony to follow her out of the room.

    Rose gave Arrow a look that meant it was better for him not to reason with her. "I am having a talk with him. Is that clear?" And with that she walked off to the treasury door.

    Rose was confused. Somnus didn't act like that before. "Isn't that unreasonable of him to go back on duty with an injury? I'll go talk with him to see what's gotten into him."

    Rose gave it a thought. "Actually, Celestia giving me the ability to change her duties actually calmed me down for a bit. I'll give her one last chance before sending her there. Anyway, I should go back to my office and do some more paperwork. What's your shaft again right now?"

    Rose held her joy inside and stood professional by saluting Celestia, once again. "Thank you very much, Your Highness." Then the mare took her leave back to her office.

    Rose took a deep breath before proceeding. "Lately more and more incident reports coming into my office were involving the same individual: Ruby Shine. She may have saved Canterlot from a bugbear, but she got close to making a pony filled airship crash. It also has been reported to me that she made the water of a fountain undrinkable with the help of Somnus by pouring soap in it."
