I love all sorts of music genres. Basically whatever gets me hyped up and excited - whatever makes my head bob
Summary: I love drumstep, dubstep, bass boosted, rock, electro.
Note: if you want to listen to this music, it's best to use bass-boosted headphones, headsets, earbuds, etc. Using anything else (like standard, middle, or treble equipment) will not produce the best results.
Warning: avoid using max volume, or even anything above 50 volume, unless you want to be deaf.

I started console gaming on the PlayStation 2, but that wasn't where I started my life as a gamer. It originated with the very old arcade games: "Dig Dug", "Mappy", "Alex Kid", and "Galaga". I didn't play them on console either, nor at public arcades. I normally played the portable versions in my home.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I am going to post it again anyways!
It's true, this song is completely stuck in my head right now, especially at 1:04. I think I repeated it mentally over 50x now.

I saw storm creatures' shadows in one of the promos for the second half. It is most likely that they will return in season 8 and not the Storm King himself, but anything is possible.

Well this is very coincidental - today I just happened to be researching a little more on governments and how they work, and I didn't even have a clue that this topic existed until now.
To simply put it, I believe Equestria has an oligarchical governmental system. Let me go in detail to give reasons why I believe Equestria is an oligarchy and not a monarchy or another government type.
To defend it being an oligarchy, let me describe and compare what characteristics this governmental system has. The simplified definition of this is "A small group of people having control of a country or organization" - Oxford Dictionaries. In Equestria, this small group is alicorn princesses. Going deeper, this small group of alicorns is free to elect whoever is chooses, with no conditions or requirements whatsoever because oligarchies have that freedom. This means that any pony can be chosen to be an alicorn in Equestria, even a unicorn such as Twilight. All four alicorns together rule Equestria, with none being higher than another. Sure Princess Celestia is called the ruler of Equestria, but I see no special privileges or assignments being granted to her that would make her above the other princesses. Celestia said it herself, when Twilight became a princess she was no longer under Celestia's authority. The last I have to say is that an oligarchy is a government that has multiple rulers, and that is exactly what Equestria has.
Now I will give reasons why I don't believe Equestria is a monarchy. Most monarchies are ruled by one individual. Celestia is a ruler, but not the only ruler; thus, Equestria's government cannot be an absolute monarchy. A specific monarchy, constitutional monarchy, has a constitution that the leader must abide by. Equestria has none, so it isn't a constitutional monarchy. Equestria also cannot be an elective monarchy, since no elections are held to become royalty.
I could mention multiple other government systems, but they all fail to completely meet the features of Equestria's. In the end though, it all comes down as to whether or not Celestia is the ultimate ruler.
As for the political ideology, I think it's safe to say that Equestrian political ideology stems from the fact that "friendship is magic". In other words, it's all about friendship.

People have a tendency to react in a negative way to change, especially a sudden change from an evil and dark, fiercely aggressive species to nice, fluffy, overly-kind (and somewhat timid) teddy bears. That sort of plot twist would also create a strongly negative reaction from those who made fan art, theories, fan-fics etc. on the unreformed Changelings, and then suddenly their masterpieces became uncanonical as soon as the change occurred. There are other reasons I'm sure, some of which I will address later on. With that being said, are these negative responses correct? To lay out the answer, we need to first lay out the details.
Changelings were always viewed as evil, just like any other villains. What made them special though was the fact that there was an entire army of them, and that they were seemingly unreformable, love-hungry creatures with an even darker leader. Their appearance reflected their personalities. They were hungry and easily agitated, with no manners whatsoever. No one could ask for a better villainous species and antagonist. Then something big happened.
The perfect antagonistic species, the Changelings, became reformed. They made a decision to turn good, just like Thorax did. They decided to share love instead of feasting off it. The problem is, they became soft, non-aggressive species lead by a soft, non-aggressive, new leader. They became the exact opposite of what they used to be. They almost became pacifists as well, but thanks to Pharynx they will still fight if absolutely necessary.
Really though, what reason is there to hate?
Alleged Reason 1: we lost our "perfect antagonistic species". Why hate that though, because that species would have eventually taken over Equestria if they were left alone - only three logical options were available: kill them off for good, reform them, or leave them alone until they destroy/enslave all of Equestria. Seriously though, this is a kid's show. Of course, the writers could have left us on a cliffhanger and we would never see the Changelings after S2 ep25/26 ever again.
Alleged Reason 2: Changelings are too soft and kind now. What did you want to happen then? If Changelings still had the same personalities as their unreformed states, that would make no sense. Unreformed Changelings had a natural instinct to hate love and feed off it as seen by Thorax in "The Times They Are A Changeling". When the Changelings decided to share their love, they became an entirely different creature on the inside as well as the outside.
Alleged Reason 3: Changelings look absolutely stupid, why couldn't they keep their original colors? The answer is obvious. They had no choice. Their outward appearance reflected what they were on the inside - love-hungry, evil creatures.
I can't think of any other reasons why one should hate the Changelings as they are right now, unless it stems from personal opinion. If that's the case, that's fine with me, I'm ok with opinions. In my honest opinion though, I don't like that the Changelings have completely soft and non-aggressive personalities. I personally think they would be better off as a fierce warrior species, ready to defend their friends at all costs instead of "talking it out" like Thorax.

I occasionally drink MTN Dew Kickstart and Gatorade, but for the most part I never found the need (and money) to give myself more energy or caffeine, especially not a harmful and addicting energy drink. Instead I drink lots of water and protein shakes when I do my intense workouts.

This may be a little off topic, but I will say it anyways. First, before I begin, when I say American I am referring to the United States specifically. Now I begin. American culture isn't superior to any other culture; as a matter of fact, the opposite could possibly be true since we are so obsessed with technology and ourselves. Just because we have the latest technology doesn't mean we have superiority in all cultural aspects. Why is Trump trying to make America great again if it is already the best? Aside from that, I think the British culture is fantastic just the way it is. They appear to be better than the American culture because they have common courtesy that does not seem to be too present in America today (some people don't even respect our own president). The reason why I talked about the American culture is because this discussion could have resulted because someone from America looked down on the British culture, thinking America is the most superior in all aspects (not accusing anyone here of such, just a thought I had in mind).
On 7/27/2018 at 10:20 PM, Narcissus said:I even like the crappy food everyone complains about.
I think I know why people say it tastes crappy. It is because they are used to American fast food and junk food, which is full of all sorts of harmful and unhealthy ingredients. Most of those foods have salt, full of sodium, which causes an increase in blood pressure if consumed way too much. It also can make you thirsty, which explains the dry taste in your mouth, and can lead to dehydration which can result in hypernatremia.
I know I strayed a little off topic in this comment. Being honest, I did talk about British culture and cultures in general, which are subtopics; however, if I need to edit some things out, please inform me and I will gladly comply.

Microtransactions?! You mean the game killer? It is like giving a game deadly drugs – it will kill the game and its players’ wallets. If a game has microtransactions, it sucks. Why do so many modern games have it then? *in a slightly angry tone* Because game developers these days want to get more money. It doesn’t matter why they want more money, because the way they are getting it is manipulative and uncool. If you buy something, anything, you buy it in full unless otherwise stated. You don’t buy half of a candy bar or Ford truck, you buy the whole thing. Add-ons in games are like buying an extra candy bar or an additional feature to the Ford-truck, it isn’t a bad. On the other hand, microtransactions in games is like selling someone a candy bar with only half the bar and withholding the other half until they pay extra, or like selling someone a Ford truck with dirt-brown paint and charging extra to change it.
For example, Fortnite sold their game for free, with the only microtransactions being aesthetical items. You can even earn a few decent looking backpacks and emotes without spending a dime. However, in it your only character skins are the noob skins, the green-brown skins, and you can never earn any other character skins unless you pay. What are you going to do? Spend money to buy other skins of course, it is the only way to get another skin. You are forced to, since many other people in the game have super-cool looking skins and you are stuck with a ‘garbage can’. As a result, every Fortnite player who plays for at least a month has spent more money than those who have bought PUBG for $20 or so. Isn’t that messed up or what?
Don't get me started on other modern-day games, I've had enough.

A lot will be expected of G5 when it hits the air waves. So what can Hasbro do to ensure that G5 is recieved even better than G4? What mistakes from FIM can the writers and animators learn from?
MLP writers needs to be consistent. Too many guest writers have been on MLP FiM, leading to numerous consistency errors. Just keep it simple, because having too many random people suddenly come into the studio and write a story with little knowledge of previous seasons is an accident waiting to happen. Too many guest writers, too many potential errors.
In the end, I really don't see how g5 could be made better than g4 because g4 is the best I've seen in my opinion. How can the best get better? By not trying to be the best, that's how. The moment g5 tries to be the best is the moment g5 becomes the worst. g5 needs to do its best, not try to be the best. Fortnite BR didn't try to gain millions of players over a few months or become one of the most played games ever, it happened because Epic Games tried their best to make a great game. (Edit) It is famous now because they are currently trying their best to take care of their game, adding to it, and listening to their community.

Ok, for years, people have convinced themselves that alicorns are the most ultimate race, and earth ponies are the least. The lowest on the totem pole so to speak. But what if that wasn't the case? What if the opposite were true?
I think people and the show make alicorns seem more powerful and higher than they really are. This is true in a few ways, but it is also false as well, and I will talk about both in this comment.
Alicorns have very high political power, with Celestia being the high ruler and the other alicorns as rulers over certain areas of Equestria. Alicorns also have a very special role in Equestria, be it raising the sun or spreading love and light throughout the land. This special role corresponds with their cutie marks, which means that an alicorn’s purpose in life is their special role as an alicorn princess. All of that is what makes an alicorn special.
There are many other areas, on the other hand, that other races in Equestria can be in that makes them just as special and significant as alicorns. I’ll just briefly summarize the main areas, starting with the races’ special abilities: earth ponies have a special connection with the earth and they have great strength, unicorns have a special magical ability, and pegasi have the special ability to fly. All these races have cutie marks that signify what each specific pony’s unique, special, and natural abilities/talents each one has. These natural talents are normally in correspondence with the pony’s race’s ability.
Overall, my point is that each individual pony has something that makes him/her special; therefore, no matter how small their specialty seems to be, each pony is equal no matter what race they are because each one has something special that makes them significant in life. To put this into the current topic’s context, to say that alicorns are more op than earth ponies or vice versa is an inadequate comparison in terms of significance in life. It’s stupid when you think about it – it is like saying whoever casts spells is higher than whoever makes desserts and foods with their bare hooves. It is ok to have opinions, like saying casting spells and saving the world is way cooler than simply working on the farm. However, when you say saving the world and casting spells means that certain being/race is higher and more significant than any other then you are going too far; moreover, that seems like speciesism (or racism), and we all know that isn’t a tolerable practice in the United States at least, and it really shouldn’t be allowed anywhere else.
There is something else one must consider about ponies. Each pony has the potential to do other things outside of his/her special abilities. For example, the mane six each have special abilities, yet they take time off to help others (like founding and then teaching in the School of Friendship). Clearly, ponies are not limited to their special talent and they can contribute in many other ways, adding to their significance in life.
On 6/1/2018 at 3:36 AM, Nightmare Muffin said:With the episode "Horse Play", we learn that ponies have words like "antidisestablishmentarianism", which would mean that they believe in a higher power of divine origin (not the royal sisters). What if earth ponies were more easily able to access such power, that the other races could not? What if, due to them being earth ponies (and a divine power having created the earth for organic life forms), the residual power of the divine's creation is drawn in from the earth, and able to be utilized by only earth ponies?
This would explain why Pinkie can break the 4th wall and have such easy access and sight into other dimensions. This would explain why Treehugger mentions chakras and past lives, as both are gateways to the divine- spiritual energy.
Your examples are ok, but they don’t suffice when it comes to what race is superior if any. I could simply say that Pinkie’s fourth wall break does not equal superiority for earth ponies with Luna doing her otherworldly wall breaks every night simply by entering the dream realm and that she can assess/alter whatever dreams she wishes. I do see your point though, that earth ponies could be more than we think they are, but it is an unnecessary point because one shouldn’t need someone else to convince them that earth ponies are superior when all one has to do is look at earth ponies’ significance in life to see the answer. Pinkie Pie always gives everypony a smile each day to make them happy, the best antidote for sadness and even depression. Earth ponies are constantly working to make foods (apple farms), help the animals, and other various talents that help the earth. Alicorns protect Equestria and, like the royal sisters, uphold it politically; thus, providing a sense of security, organization, and peace throughout the minds of its citizens. I don’t see any reason why one would assume any race/individual is more superior than the others.
Well, I hope I didn’t digress or ramble too much because this is a rather large comment.

Very nice topic you brought up @Lunauniverse, I haven't thought that far yet. Thanks for bringing it up!
On 7/12/2018 at 12:31 AM, Lunauniverse said:If Flurry Heart is a alicorn what will her element be? Like twilight is friendship... Cadence is love... Luna is moon... Celestia is sun. What is frilly heart??
Clearly Flurry Heart must have a place in the world of Equestria, because all princesses must 'play their part' (see S4 ep 25,26 for more info). Furthermore, in almost every instance, a pony's name is somehow linked to its cutie mark; however, this concept remains unexplained canonically. Regardless, I speculate that Flurry Heart's name has something to do with her purpose in life. The term 'flurry' can be defined as (noun) "a small swirling mass of something, especially snow or leaves, moved by sudden gusts of wind" and (verb) "(especially of snow or leaves) be moved in small swirling masses by sudden gusts of wind" - both definitions by Oxford Dictionaries. The term 'heart' implies love. Therefore, based on this information, Flurry Heart's power/element could involve Flurry moving the snow and sudden gusts of wind of the frozen north away from the Crystal Empire by using love and light. Does this sound familiar? The event that occurred in S6 ep 1,2 (restoration of the crystal heart and the protective love it emitted to keep out the Frozen North) is similar to Flurry Heart's name's definition. She was named after this event, and her name describes this event. So how could I possibly say Flurry's power/element is related to her name? I think Flurry will replace the crystal heart, and Flurry will ultimately become the one who, through love and light, protects that Crystal Empire from the sudden gusts of wind and snow of the Frozen North. That could be her purpose and her element when she grows up. To conclude, all of this is a theory based off simplistic definitions of Flurry Heart's name, and the only canonical support is the unexplained fact that nearly all cutie marks are based off the ponies' names and are somehow linked.
If you don't understand my wording, let me put it simple - Flurry Heart could replace the Crystal Heart because her name's definition suggests that she will have the same power/element as that of the Crystal Heart, and names are the same as a pony's purpose in life/cutie mark.

I think violence is fine as long as it isn't hurting others, yourself, or animals. Violence in video games has the concept. As long as you are not mentally injuring and corrupting yourself or others in real life, virtual violence is fine with me.

Zap2it has since removed this supposed Summer Surprise airing from their listing however, and there's no mention of it anywhere else, so it's most likely an error on their part,
I took a second look, and it turns out that this episode is still on the website itself, if that means anything. The episode description states it will air July 20. I find it odd though, that this episode is at the bottom of the episode guide, below all the season 8 episodes - does this mean this episode is not going to air yet? If so, I find it even odder that they couldn't just delete the information altogether since it is practically false if that is the case.

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony
rainbow-dashHow did you find MLP Forums?
Link from another siteHow you became a fan of My Little Pony
Well it all started way back when....let's not. Story wrapped up in a nutshell - I saw an episode of My Little Pony, then the slow process of my reformation began. Brony since somewhere around 2016.
Hello everyone, it’s nice to be on a forum such as this. I can’t wait to discus pony/non-pony topics with you all!
Let me introduce myself. I do not wish to reveal my real name, so everyone can call me @EpicEnergy. I came here from a website called Equestria Daily, where I am currently involved in multiple discussions. Digging deeper into my personal life, my favorite activities and interests are ponies, Star Wars, exercising, and religious stuff that I probably will never bring up due to the controversy around this topic. I put more of my interests in my profile, if you want to know more about that. Shifting topics, I don’t contribute much to the pony community, unless you count analyses, theories, critiques, and so forth.
There is one more thing you should know. I am currently going through rather conflicting and difficult areas of my life that will determine what direction the rest of my life will go. This will also strongly affect my life as a brony, since I may have to lay aside more and more hours of my free time depending on what direction is taken. Therefore, my activity on this forum may decrease or increase significantly due to these circumstances. I would like you to know that no matter how hard and tedious my life gets, I will never stop being a brony; moreover, I will always make time, be it 30 minutes or even 3 hours, for MLP FiM and the discussions in the entire brony community.
Well, there you go, my introduction - I hope you enjoyed it. Have a nice day!

I think I know why the show has been lacking in quality lately
in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
It's not the absence of 'good' writers alone that is decreasing the quality of the show, but also the number of writers working on the project. There isn't a permanent writing staff, so the writers change every season, and multiple people have come in and out contributing to the writing in each episode. This has lead to various inconsistencies in all of the seasons.
The same has happened to the new Star Wars. They are not consistent with their staff, and instead of having one director and a permanent staff of writers throughout the entirety of the new Star Wars, they have already had multiple; thus, large inconsistencies have developed, and this is only one reason why.
