2009 The greatest pop album of all time was released that year Plus I discovered something about myself that year that pretty much changed my entire future and put a lot of what happened in my childhood in to context. (The fact that I'm trans)

gaming Controversial and Unpopular Video Game Opinions.

There are tons of no changes absolutists out there, as in, get to Naxx and then keep the game as-is. They pop up in my server's LFG/world chat every so often. -
gaming Controversial and Unpopular Video Game Opinions.
A Small Bear replied to RoboGuy9000's topic in Media Discussion
I have a few. Dark Souls 2 is the best game in the Souls series and Dark Souls 3 would've been immensely better if it hadn't gutted so many of the improvements it had made Battlefield 4 actually turned out to be the best game in the series despite its lackluster launch The no changes crowd in WoW Classic are ignorant if they expect the game to last long after phase 6. Classic+ or TBC (or both, hopefully) are necessary for its lifespan. And of course the most long-winded one: People criticize Fallout 4 for its main story but forget how weak and lackluster Fallout NV's story was. Like 4, NV was entirely carried by its side quests, DLC, and cast. Fallout 1, 2, and 3 all had interesting and unique main storylines and 2 and 3 had a wealth of interesting side content as well. Fallout NV really shines as a sandbox RPG and Fallout 4 really shines as a survival game, and with the right mods, Fallout 4 is a much more enjoyable experience overall than Fallout NV. My boyfriend prefers Civ 4 but agrees that Civ 5 is probably still better as a game, the Civ series just isn't his cup of tea. -
Will Trump make America great again?
A Small Bear replied to Megalomaniac's topic in General Discussion
Trump is an enigma. There's just so much about him that I don't understand. How can a man so glaringly incompetent still be so adored? How can his supporters seemingly ignore or defend every controversy he's been involved in? Why do people still seem to think he's making this country great when he's one of the single most divisive presidents this country has seen? It's astounding to me how his supporters can brush off all criticism and continue to blindly support him in spite of all the damage he's causing. -
Intuition, usually. The same intuition that told me I should take a break from classic WoW when I was getting in to some unhealthy habits.

I'm one of those basic bitches that put hundreds of hours in to MW2 and BO2 and nothing else. Well, okay, I've played every CoD up until BO2 quite extensively and even dabbled in BO3 and 4, but MW2 and BO2 are the most popular ones for a reason. They're quite good! So they're the only ones I've played past prestige 1. I hope MW4 can manage to capture the magic of MW1's campaign and MW2's multiplayer. Looks like it'll do that and more so far. I've been waiting years for a new Modern Warfare title and I'm super excited to finally have one! If anyone feels like playing MW2 or BO2 with me HMU. I much prefer MW2 but I could play either.

Mine's a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's served me well and I hope it can continue to do so for many years to come.

Would you relive all the good times you had?
A Small Bear replied to shadowbass's topic in General Discussion
Nostalgia is a bittersweet feeling, bitter because you'll never relive it but sweet because you'll never forget it. I don't want to get rid of the bitter if it also means getting rid of the sweet. -
All part of the classic wow experience! You're just making me more excited for it

From all human beings? Hate. It's the one we need the least at this point. -
Movies that you liked, but never want to see again.
A Small Bear replied to TheAnimationFanatic's topic in Media Discussion
Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. The first 2 are great and the last one is so terrible it's actually a great joy to watch, but it's also really campy and screams early 2000s, not to mention the acting was quite terrible for the most part. It's a lot harder to appreciate now than it was back then. And for entirely different reasons, Logan. It's quite depressing and harrowing for a "superhero" film but it was amazing nonetheless. -
Fairbanks alliance here Be cool if there was a MLPforums guild of some sort, though I don't know if I'd actually end up joining it. Can't wait to lose my character for /spitting on horde scum

Do you feel you aren't the age you really are?
A Small Bear replied to Overdrive's topic in General Discussion
Always. I can never seem to remember that I'm not a teenager anymore. It honestly depresses the hell out of me because it reminds me about how I basically wasted those years. -
What, in your opinion, makes an episode good or bad?
A Small Bear replied to A Small Bear's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Yeah I get this 100%. The pacing in Magical Mystery Cure felt off because it felt like it rushed from one plot point to the next. If they wanted to fit so many songs in to the finale they should've honestly just made it a 2 parter. It felt like the episode was done as soon as it started. Interestingly, I think this is actually the opposite of my mindset going in to an episode. For me the whole "character regression/out of character" thing doesn't bother me as much as it seems to bother others. Filli Vanilli was a favorite episode of mine despite Pinkie's obnoxious behavior because, I mean, I don't find it that distracting or offensive? Well, the way her character is misrepresented, not her behavior. Her behavior was absolutely offensive. On the other hand, I feel like "fanservice" episodes are distracting and unnecessary! Not to knock anyone who enjoys them but I felt like Slice of Life just sort of dropped me in to a side character hell that I didn't care for that much, and the final scene in A Royal Problem dragged on a bit too long for me. -
food Why do most humans eat meat?
A Small Bear replied to AlicornSpell's topic in General Discussion
As of last week I don't anymore. I feel like arguing over what's naturally present in certain food sources is kind of moot since you can get every nutrient you need in a pure plant based diet. Sure meat has a lot of protein and iron and essential vitamins and minerals but you can still get them from other sources. Of course I'm cutting meat and dairy out of my diet for health reasons. Animal agriculture as it exists is unethical and bad for the environment but if you're concerned about ethics in what you buy and use you're going to have a hard time in life. Eat what you want but be honest about it. Vegan diets aren't unhealthy and eating meat and dairy doesn't make you a murderer. Oh, and to clarify, I of course still think something should be done to curb the negative impact of animal agriculture, but I dont expect millions to change their diets overnight. -
1. I'm a vegan. Sort of. I've been trying, slowly but surely, to cut animal products out of my diet completely. Mostly for health reasons since I gave up on ethical consumption a while ago. We're just not ready for that yet. Sad, honestly. 2. My gender is female no matter what anybody else says. 3. I love music and have eclectic tastes. Everything ranging from bubblegum pop to industrial hip hop. 4. My favorite game is World of Warcraft, Dark Souls 2 is a close second. 5. I'm one of those weirdos who wants a peaceful democratic socialist revolution. By peaceful I of course mean nonviolent. There's a lot you can do without breaking out guillotines, surprisingly! 6. I love animated movies. Some of my favorite movies include Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Zootopia, The Iron Giant, and what I refer to as the "Pixar Holy Trinity" (Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc) 7. Uhhhh... I like pickles?

What separates a really good episode from a really bad one for you? What makes an episode mediocre or decent? I ask purely out of curiosity noticing that there are a few episodes I thought were terrible that get near unanimous praise, or episodes I thought were quite good that everybody else seems to hate. To me, I think what makes an episode terrible is when it's trying to preach something to it's viewers that really doesn't seem quite right, or when the episode comes off as unnecessary or a waste of time. I think a good example of this is Pinkie Pride, I don't feel like it's ever properly addressed just how toxic Pinkie was in the episode nor do I think the whole "guest character steals her thunder" thing was particularly interesting or done in an interesting way. There are also some episodes that I like in some respects but I feel like I can't enjoy for other reasons. Lost Treasure of Griffonstone is a fun and adventurous episode but it completely writes off the lesson of Griffon the Brush-off, which in my opinion was one of the best episodes in season 1. In terms of what I enjoy, I have fun watching heartwarming and cutesy episodes like The Perfect Pear and Sister/Brotherhooves Social, and pretty much anything with Flurry Heart in it honestly. There are quite a lot of other episodes I enjoy but I'm gonna leave it there for now. What about you guys?

A vegan diet is actually much more affordable. It only costs more if you're looking for vegan alternatives to what you already eat. If you go to some local fancy hipster restaurant to try a fancy barbecue jackfruit sandwich of course that'll run you more than a regular pulled pork from a cheaper spot. Learn to cook for yourself and feeding yourself in general becomes much cheaper, but plant-based is definitely the cheaper option.

Hmm. Don't know. If only there were a clue in my name or something like that.
