  1. At first I didn't see much difference between Trixie and Rainbow Dash tbh. Rainbow is constantly pushing it in other ponies faces how amazing she is. She refers to herself as amazing quite often. I do really like the message this episode sends though. I get why Twilight is so hesitant since I've been in situations where I felt I could help or have done a better job than someone else, but stood back because I wasn't sure if it would be bragging or be too much if I put my input in.
  2. My mane (lol) question would be why is Rainbow Dash running away from Pinkie Pie? Haven't they been friends for a while? I mean I know we don't know when or how they met, but it seems pretty established that before Twilight comes along that Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie are all friends. Course I could be wrong and they all became friends at the same time. That being said I love how they know who to trick and how much each of their different friends can handle it. I loved seeing how certain ponies interacted with each other and how their friendships were already established. I am glad that Rarity didn't take offense or make an issue about Gilda being such a jerk about the tail that she wanted. I really appreciated seeing Pinkie Pie try everything she could to make friends with Gilda and that she didn't go with her first reaction of "She's a jerk." It's true, but she at least gave her the chance to prove that she wasn't/isn't.
  3. I won't lie, I'm surprised that Rainbow Dash didn't take part in trying to stop the stampede. She has such a bold personality that it usually borders on too much especially when it comes to her confidence in herself and what she can do. I would think that she would have at least tried something (most likely fool-heartedly). I also believe that she would not have succeeded at least on her own. I also don't understand why only Twilight speaks up about concerns that it seems are repeated by other ponies. If the other ponies have been friends longer than Twilight has been part of the group (and the show sure makes them seem like they've known each other a while) then why didn't one of her other friends also say something to her. I do like how Applejack is consistent on refusing help. It really sets her personality. At least more than the first episodes have so far. I also love seeing how much damage the bunnies do versus the cows. Plus we get to hear Big Mac talk quite a bit before he's silent for most of the rest of the series, or at least a large portion of it lol.
  4. Thanks @Crystal Daze. I really hope I have a wonderful time too!
  5. Thanks so much @TheAnimationFanatic!! I hope I will too.
  6. Thanks so much @Bas!! I hope to have a lot of fun.
  7. I didn't even think that Celestia could be testing her in some way. Most likely to see how she handled this type of situation. If Celestia knew what Twilight would eventually become, or at least knew she would become more important to Equestira, it would be a really good test. It would show Celestia how Twilight handles not enough supplies to go around. This time it was tickets, but next time it could be food, water, living space, etc. Things that we are facing IRL. Course with it being a children's show and only episode 3 of the whole series that might be reading too much into it lol.
  8. I really feel for Twilight in this one. I've been in a similar situation where I could only take one or two of my friends to an event, but all of my friends demanded they be the ones to go. Ended up not going to the event at all and actually stopped being friends with some of the people because their reactions to me deciding not to go (in order to not hurt my friends). I am glad that Twilight's experience did not end the same. That being said I think now either get more tickets or just not get them at all depending on the circumstances. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Do you think Twilight (given her character in season 1) could have done anything to make the situation better?
  9. Hi everypony! I'm Ayvid Reader (pronounced a-vid). I love MLP (duh right?). Even though I started watching my niece she is now 6 years old and no longer really interested in the snow (I don't get why lol). I love to read, hike, bake, chill, go camping, and many many more things. I was in the US Navy and got awarded PTSD for my service. Now I don't work so I have a lot of time to fill. I am a pretty open book so feel free to ask me anything you'd like. I don't like arguing or anything that puts others down. I don't like seeing hate against anypony in the show. It's pretty simple. It's a children's show and I really try to keep that in mind when watching so that I don't over analyze it or put too much adult meaning behind things. I don't like seeing hate against any of the ponies. I have characters that I don't care for in the series, but they are there for a reason and we shouldn't belittle that reason just because we don't care for them as a character. I do take a lot of the messages in the show to heart and try to apply them to my daily life as much as I possibly can.
