Title: The Ticket Master
Air Date: October 29th, 2010
Synopsis: When Twilight Sparkle receives two tickets from Princess Celestia to the Grand Galloping Gala, all of her friends want to go...but who will she choose?

The classic dilemma: too many buddies, not enough goodness to go around. Someone's gotta lose out in the end, right? Right? Guys? PLEASE TELL ME IT'S DASHIE WHO GET'S TO GO!? Edited by DashForever

Two special things were known from the episode: Celestia's subtle trolling habbit, and "Oatmeal, are you crazy?"

Oh, I completely forgot that this was the first episode where Celestia trolled Twilight and the gang!!!!! For that alone, it shall always hold a special place in my heart. B)

Upon further consideration, I have to revise my original answer; this episode shall always hold a special place in my heart for an even more important reason. It was the first episode of MLP that I showed my sister this past summer, who was the first person I told that I was a brony, and it started her on her path to become a proud pegasister who's quite fond of the show herself!!! Before we both left for school, we'd managed to get through all of Season 1 (minus the first two episodes, at my suggestion... we'll come back to them later), and gotten through Lesson Zero in Season 2!!!!! Can't wait till I get to see her at Thanksgiving, and we get to watch Luna Eclipsed!!!!!!! She's gonna love it!!!!!!!!!! :)

I liked this episode a lot because it kind of describes what happened to me once. I won two concert tickets once and everyone wanted to go. I also got a huge laugh out of the "Oatmeal are you crazy" line.

This is probably the episode out of the 5 that I promised to watch before judging that I liked the most. It had some good humor, rainbow dash was awesome, (back then Rainbow Dash was my favorite pony), and the benny hills reference made me smile.

Now looking at the episode, it's still pretty good. Like others have said, it's not the best, but it's pretty good.

I thought Princess Celestia only gave two tickets, because she expected Twilight would only have made one friend. Unless she was planning for Twilight and Spike to go anyway. Still I find it very likely Princess Celestia really thought Twilight would make only a few friends or less.

Anyway, this is a really good episode. :P

This is the episode I show to aspiring bronies. It shows character incredibly well, has a lot of adult humour, and has a decent conflict that proves to skeptics that a major issue in the show isn't that the ponies are out of tea for their tea parties. Also, Trollestia is the Bestia =D

The story of this episode is cliché, but it’s executed well. While Friendship is Magic, parts 1 and 2 established and focused on the relationships between Twilight and the other five ponies, this episode uses her dilemma to develop the characters as individuals by providing insight into their personal desires; moreover, these motives are weighted against the relationships established in the previous episodes. This helps flesh out the characters and build a stronger foundation for the series. I also appreciate the Benny Hill chase scene. I half-expected the disguised purple pony pushing the carriage to not be Twilight, but a similar looking pony as a bait-and-switch joke.

Seriously Celestia? She frickin knew that Twlight had made 5 friends, not 1!!!

With that said, I really would like to thank my lucky stars that I persisted on becoming a Pegasister after watching this. It was one of the most girly episodes. Not blaming anything on the creators, they made it for little girls, and there were barely any bronies back then. I just want to say, Brohoof to those who watched this episode and kept watching the series.

Again, I would like to remind everyone that I am fully aware that in the first 3 epsiodes the show mostly targets little girls.

This is a great episode to teach sharing to not just kids, but grown men. I think Applejack should of got the tickit because, she asked first and she was worried about the probelms of others, not herself.

I really enjoyed this episode because Twilight is put in a crazy situation of choosing between her friends.THe musical nembers were great, and this was just a few thoughts in short about the episode.

Whoops, I am really sorry because I totally gave a major spoiler to those that have not watched the grand galloping gala episode. I also wrote about the wrong epsiode to :(. lol oh well.

Actually, when I wasn't a brony, Ticket Master made me groan because I already knew how it was going to go and seemed like a generic cartoon that I wasn't going to continue watching. In other words Ticket Master could of stopped me from becoming a brony and not watch other episodes. My pacing was rather slow on the first 5 to 7 episodes. After finishing Season 1 and moving somewhere in Season 2 (in the middle) did I realize. Oh crap I love this show A LOT.

I think it's a decent, all around solid episode.  I liked Pinkie imagining the gala the best.

There could be a poll on who had the best reason to go.  I'd say Applejack.

It was kinda neat how they turned the whole idea into the amazing season one finale.

I love you.

I agree with the poll, I think that'd be pretty neat. As for the episode itself, I think it was pretty good

I love this episode. All of Twilight Sparkle's friends want the tickets and are willing to bribe her for them. Priceless. It really makes me smile just thinking about this episode.
