In G3, Sweetie Belle and Cheerilee were part of the main cast. But when G4 rolled around, they were demoted to supporting characters. Which supporting pony from Friendship is Magic do you think would be a good member of the Mane Six? Personally, I'd love to see Princess Cadance as a main pony. There's a lot of potential in her I feel G4 hasn't realized.

And by future generations, I mean continuities that are entirely their own thing, and have no connection to G4 whatsoever. I am of course referring to characters like the Royal Sisters, Trixie, Discord, Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, Starlight Glimmer and so on. All of whom made their debut in FiM.

Using ponies from different generations. Considering how they've each had their own casts, the most recent of which have been a mix between them, what existing ponies would you use as the Mane Six for a hypothetical G6? Here's some ideas of mine: Wind Whistler: (from G1) A pegasus with light blue fur and light pink hair. She has a courageous spirit and a strong desire to help everyone in need, and serves as the de factor leader of the Mane Six. Gusty: (from G1) A white unicorn with green hair (and a red streak) who can use her magic to create gusts of wind true to her name. Much like her G1 incarnation, Gusty can be impatient and rude. Which occasionally leads to her butting heads with Wind Whistler. Octavia: (from G4) A grey earth pony violinist with a taste for classical music. She is a member of a wealthy family in Canterlot and usually has a stoic demeanor. Minty: (from G3) A mint green earth pony with pink hair. She has a bad habit of being clumsy and causing trouble for her friends and everyone around her. Twilight Sparkle: (from G4) A purple unicorn with a prodigious talent in magic. Just like in Friendship is Magic, Twilight is very intelligent and rational. But her neuroses can result in trouble on occasion. Rainbow Dash: (from G4) A blue pegasus with a penchant for racing and competition and a haughty attitude. Her liking to "cool" things can lead to her butting with the more classy and sophisticated tastes of Octavia.

For anyone who doesn't know, Frederator is an American animation studio behind popular cartoons such as The Fairly OddParents, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Adventure Time, Castlevania on Netflix, and Bee and PuppyCat. If Hasbro hired them to make the show for MLP G6, what do you think it would be like? Of course, this question is for anyone familiar with their work.

Especially for a hypothetical sixth generation? Let's say it's an entirely new continuity with a different main cast of ponies. Which background pony from Friendship is Magic that became popular do you think could be elevated into a full-blown member of the leading group? And what do you think they would be like in terms of personality?

Which studio do you think should handle G6? Should it be WildBrain (the successor to Friendship is Magic's studio DHX Media), Boulder Media (who produced Pony Life, Rainbow Roadtrip, New Generation, and some Equestria Girls shorts), Atomic Cartoons (Make Your Mark), Lil Critter Workshop (Tell Your Tale), or someone else? Perhaps Frederator Studios could be a choice if Hasbro decides to go with a studio from the United States?

I do agree it may be a reimagining of G4, but what else do you expect? It's practically become a blueprint for the MLP franchise. Previous generations had no consistent cast of characters that stuck out in people's minds like Transformers or G.I. Joe did. But with the arrival of Friendship is Magic, it introduced characters like Twilight Sparkle who may as well be iconic as Optimus Prime or Duke. That being said, I do expect some major differences from G4 if G6 decides to go that route. Like maybe it sticks closer to what Lauren Faust had in mind for FiM like Cadance is portrayed as a Pegasus instead of an Alicorn. Along with stuff like Twilight becoming a sorceress instead of a Princess.

Remember when Steven Universe turned into a monster because he thought he was one? Or when Samurai Jack nearly committed suicide because he had lost all hope? Well what if Twilight had an emotional crisis much like theirs? Especially since she has had some traumatic experiences herself? Like the Changeling invasion of Canterlot or dealing with Starlight altering the timeline? And who could forget her panic attacks? And unlike Twilight's mental breakdown in "Lesson Zero", this would NOT be played for laughs.

You've heard of this plot before: characters from a fantastical land are magically transported into real life Earth (usually New York City) and must find a way to get back home. All while dealing with a foe from either their world or ours. Very rarely has it been done well. The live action/CGI Smurfs movie is a prime example of why: bland story, uncanny designs of the title characters, and more focus on the human characters. If you were to write something like this involving Twilight Sparkle and her friends, how would you make it not suck? On a side note, are there any fanfics with a story like this done right?

One thing I noticed among the brony community is that the villains are largely beloved while the more petty jerk characters are widely hated. Despite the former committing more real crimes than the latter. Prince Blueblood and Diamond Tiara (before her redemption) are the biggest examples by far. Why is this even the case? What is it about jerks and bullies that rile up people that even villains don't?

A TV-PG rating would allow ponies to say "kill" instead of "destroy". Not to mention Applejack's parents would be explicitly stated to be dead, with maybe even a flashback showing how they died. Dark themes and violence CAN work if handled correctly. But in the case of MLP, it seems like they would just clash with the show's nature a little too much. If it means something like the villains actually killing ponies, it might be in poor taste.

According to TV Tropes, a Complete Monster is a villain who is pure evil and has no redeeming qualities to speak of. They are never presented in a tragic or sympathetic light and are usually meant to be hated by the audience for their sheer depravity. Some of the most notable examples in modern animation include the Lich from Adventure Time and Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls. However, none of the main villains in FiM, and the My Little Pony franchise as a whole, qualifies as a Complete Monster due to failing the site's heinous standard. The only exception to this is Cosmos from the IDW comics. Do you think a CM would've worked in this series? What if the Mane Six had to face a foe as vile and terrifying as Bill and the Lich?
