  1. Pretty well, most nights. I like a cool, dark room; preferably with some mild ambient noise - and I always sleep on my back with no socks on (I have no idea why, but when trying to sleep I become hyper-aware of anything touching my feet). I can't fall asleep on my side or front unless I'm absolutely exhausted.
  2. Worst one that I can remember was at my friend's house - he tried to cook chicken livers fried in garlic (he knows I'm a fan of chicken liver, nature's multivitamin baby) and he burnt them to a blackened crisp - was literally inedible. This same friend also eats egg whites mixed with oats for breakfast, so I'm convinced he doesn't have working tastebuds
  3. If it's not a very thick crust, then yeah I do. I don't eat pizza very often and when I do I generally opt for thinner crusts, so I usually eat everything
  4. 189-190cm (somewhere between 6'2" and 6'3") and 89kg (195lbs). I'm a reasonably big dude
  5. I think different hair colours and styles look better on different people, but I have a preference for blonde (particularly darker blonde, sort of like a golden blonde rather than a yellowy blonde) on women.
  6. 1. Tim Hortons vs Pret A Manger, who wins? 2. What would your ideal day look like? 3. What's the secret to happiness?
  7. The best cake, in the world, without question or exception, is opera cake. I normally have a "take it or leave it" attitude towards cakes, but this one is so good that I actually feel sorry for people who haven't eaten it yet (and also for myself, since it's both incredibly hard to procure in England and also very difficult to make). The best one I ever had was from a patisserie in Strasbourg, France - it was so good that I've actually unironically had a dream about it since visiting. Honourable mentions to Prinsesstårta and Black Forest Gateau, who take the respectable podium positions in my cake ranking.
  8. My favourite was music, simply because I was already pretty good at guitar and had a good knowledge of music theory so all the assignments were super easy for me, and the practical ones were really fun (I never really got why, as a teacher, you'd design entire assessments around an ability to play instruments when most kids in the class couldn't play anything, it always seemed kinda cruel). Maths was also a good subject for me, it wasn't ever something I particularly enjoyed but I was always naturally pretty good at it and so could get away with putting in less effort. Worst subjects for me were physics (just couldn't get into it at that age, I'd prefer it now though) and geography (I'd still hate it).
  9. I'd say so, but a lot of others might disagree. I'd say a good 80% of what I eat by mass/volume is meat or offal (had lamb heart for dinner today), and the remainder is typically fruit, some vegetables and honey. I only drink water or black coffee, but will admit that I enjoy Coca Cola with ice on a hot day sometimes. I'll also occasionally eat chocolate or other gluten-free unhealthy stuff, but I try to limit that to max once a week.
  10. I'm also 24. Turning 25 in August.
  11. Pizza is weird for me, as I pretty much always enjoy it when I do eat it but I never really crave it
  12. Christian, but I don't identify with any specific denomination. I was raised as a Catholic, turned away from it at age 13 and went through a rebellious atheist phase, and then rediscovered my faith when I was about 18-19. I feel as though each specific subset of Christianity teaches something very slightly different to what I believe, and so it is hard for me to pick just one to identify with - furthermore, I feel as though it isn't particularly necessary to identify yourself with a religious group in the first place. My relationship with God is personal to me, and I feel as though I have a much closer connection with Him now than back when I was 12 and was forcibly dragged off to church every Sunday against my will.
  13. Fluently, only English. I'm good (i.e. close-to-fluent) at Norwegian, decent (i.e. have previously lived in Sweden and didn't struggle with the language) at Swedish, and I know a few words/phrases in French, German and Finnish. My German used to be pretty good too once upon a time, but sadly due to disuse I've forgotten a significant chunk of it. @ridaranka sometimes talks to me in fluent German and only then is it really apparent how rusty at it I've become.
  14. Of course - whole milk only, though. My parents used to buy skimmed milk and I went pretty much all of my adolescent life believing that I "hated milk". When I moved out for the first time, I bought some whole milk on the recommendation of a friend and the difference is night and day. Now I drink multiple glasses daily.
  15. I'm probably a total freak since I hate pretty much all pies, as I can't stand pastry.
  16. Somewhere between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on how heavy my day was. If I'm extremely tired, I can fall asleep in like a minute
  17. As long as someone's thought their opinion out and hasn't just piggybacked off what their favourite celebrity said or did, then I'd respect it. Only thing I can't really stand is when people spread literal disinformation and claim it's fact, I try to simply not engage with them since confrontation usually proves a waste of time.
  18. None. I got a DEXA scan last year and it said my bone density was about 127% of that of an average man my age, which I think is probably down to a combination of training and genetics (my dad also has incredibly dense bones). Hopefully I'll never break any!
  19. Attractiveness: 6 or 7 maybe? Feel like I look pretty average. Could maybe add one or two extra points on for my height and being muscular, but facially I'll stick with a "slightly above average" range. Intelligence: 8.5/10. Not a super-genius, but I'd consider myself firmly above average in terms of intelligence. I got 142 IQ on the Norwegian Mensa test, but take that with a grain of salt since it was conducted online. Kindness: 5/10. I feel like I'm kind to people who I'm close with, but not to strangers (not that I'm unkind either, just that I'm totally indifferent). Since I'm pretty even for everything, does that put me in the gay category? Don't tell @ridaranka
  20. I used to be able to handle it well, back when I was at university. Haven't really drunk alcohol properly since then (4-5 years ago) but it'd still probably take me like 4-5 beers in an hour to become lightheaded, which I'd say is reasonably normal
  21. I like blue eyes the best, but it's not a dealbreaker.
  22. New York, because @ridaranka really drags it down :/
  23. I'd find it hard to plot myself on an American political compass. I don't like guns, yet I don't feel as though the government should tell people what they can and cannot purchase. I want as many people to live as possible so I am pro-life, and yet also against the death penalty. I believe we should fight to reduce inequality between certain groups, but I don't believe that the way to do that is to simply give a bunch of free stuff to one group over another. I couldn't really ever see myself voting Republican or Democrat, but a vote for Independents seems like a vote right in the garbage so I don't know what else I'd do. If an election were held in the UK tomorrow, I'd vote for the Conservative Party. My views are probably best represented as broadly centre-right by our political compass. I'm a capitalist and while I'm personally socially conservative I believe people should be broadly left to make their own decisions/mistakes in life. Personal responsibility all the way, baby.
  24. Not particularly friendly. I wouldn't say I'm unfriendly either, though. Maybe it's more accurate to say that I'm not very open about myself or my life to people I don't know, rather than explicitly unfriendly.
