In the new voltron....what do you guys think about one of the main being gay?

I think of it as ..... A surprise that he is gay? And at the finally its like he was forced or something to get wed. Shut gun marriage XD i don't know... It felt forced and at first. Oh wow... Theres like a lot of seasons now and now they say he is gay...fine then...then at the ending he gets married and he looks so awkward at his marriage. Its like out of character? Or is it just me not understanding. If its just me not understanding then..... Cool cool okay.
