Probably couldn't sing. 

No wings, no Wonderbolt. The same would apply for a unicorn. 

Seasons Eight and Nine could’ve been better. 

I think all the Rainbow Realisations are among the best examples. 

I love seeing the animation evolve and hearing the voices change. The CMC aging, AJ’s voice gradually getting lower.

It’s one of those shows where no matter how many times you watch it, there’s always something new to discover. 

I love that little detail. I always suspected it. 

On my plushie of her, it’s on her left. But I think it switches in the show, depending on the angle. 

I’d prefer to just write it out of existence.

But if I really was forced to rank, I think it would actually be the same as yours. 

I guess my opinion on Celestia deteriorated a little bit after the final episode when she forced Twilight away from her friends.

Oh no, please don’t be mad at me for this.  I don’t like Slice of Life at all and I consider it to be by far the most overrated episode of the entire series.  The very first time I ever walked away from an episode thinking ‘I don’t think I liked it.’ For me, there’s kind of a selfish reason why. I just hate it when the Mane Six get shoved aside, something that became an even bigger problem later on.

 I guess I just never understood the background Pony love.  I like them a lot too but I’ve never liked it when people say they actually prefer them to the leads or want them to get more attention.

So I definitely prefer episode 200, Sparkle’s Seven. One of the better Season Nine episodes for me.

I think Gabby is adorable. 

They reminded me a lot of my own parents who I love so dearly. It hurt me a bit when RD shouted at them because it brought out the regret that I feel whenever I think of all the times I shouted at my own parents when they were trying to do good things for me.

Celestia offers Twilight to become the ruler, but it was actually just a test, to prove her loyalty towards her friends. Twilight declines the offer after all and makes Celestia very proud. She stays in Ponyville, Celestia retires, after 1,000 years of ruling the land, she really is looking forward to finally have some time to herself, in tranquility and peace. And finally, Luna becomes the queen of Equestria.
Luna was frozen in time and didn't age, because she was magically captured in the moon, that's why she is smaller than Celestia. It is obvious since the very beginning of episode 1, that she wants to be more loved and appreciated by the pony folk. And yet, they were sleeping when she created those wonderful nights. She still has the 1,000 years ahead of her, 1,000 years Celestia has already experienced and 1,000 years where Celestia was the ruler. Her time has finally come now. She has absolutely zero reason to retire as well.

I have two different possibilities how this will happen. Celestia is too old and will die soon. This could have been a bittersweet end and they could have finally shown someone die in the show. Well, besides the animals Fluttershy canonically sacrifices and other smaller deaths. Or someone who is not a villain.
Possibility two is harmless. Celestia would just retire normally. Since they are sisters and can't have secrets from one another, she notices that Luna still wishes to be loved more. And she decides that it is Luna's turn now.

This would have been the perfect ending. The book opened with Celestia and Luna's story. And after 9 or 10 seasons, the book will finally close after Luna becomes the ruler/queen.
And we know Luna struggled to keep her smile in front of others. They could have used some episodes which would show how she learns to be a proper ruler and everything. And it would be fulfilling to her, since this is what she always wanted. Hasbro could have even used this idea to make more toys. They could even have made a new version of Canterlot Castle, with Luna's colors or something that represents the night.
Twilight stays with her friends in ponyville and in her castle. She is busy enough with friendship matters and quests, this is what she is meant to do. There is no time to rule a kingdom and to do the friendship stuff. What Hasbro's authors did was unnecessarily horrible and devastating for the Mane 6. And so many other flaws. Everything was already there, they could have easily created a so much better story. When even I, a no one, can easily come up with something simple as this, I have to seriously ask: What did they smoke?

FiM would be the greatest thing ever made if this is what happened. 

It did lose it. It actually killed its escapism.
