  1. Four Loko - I love a good fruit flavored beer, but I tried a sour apple Four Loko once and it was so disgusting, I think I got my garbage disposal drunk when I dumped it. It wasn't the caffeinated version, but still, I don't know how anyone could drink that. Big Red - For those not familiar, it's a cream soda from 1937, comes in different flavors. When I first tried it, I was expecting fruit punch; instead, it tasted like I French kissed Him from PPG. Chai - I can do most unsweetened teas, but not chai. It tastes like burnt hair. Coffee, energy drinks, and certain brands of soda.
  2. English is my first language. I took three years of Spanish in high school, but it's a wee rusty now because I poured more energy into Japanese. I also know a few words of German because I've been listening to some bands of theirs. Might shoot for either Korean or Chinese next.
  3. With more regularity than before quarantine. I started buying my groceries through online Asian retailers (mostly pantry stuff) despite the nearest supermarket being 20+ minutes from my house.
  4. I was born in 1992, so between G1 and G2.
  5. Only saw the first episode, and it was a pretty decent start I have to say. Easier going than Pony Life's first episode, yet still brisk paced. The character animations are nice and bouncy like G4, but the rest of the art style is going to take some getting used to.
  6. Ooh... This looks like Trulli Tales but with stiffer animation and Pocky-like hooves. I'll still give it a try for four episodes at the most. Also, Sunny is not an alicorn in case some of you missed it. I mean, this is a short-form series - and I don't mind being wrong; in fact, I welcome it - but something tells me she won't be not an alicorn after a while.
  7. Finally got around to watching Hanazuki: Full of Treasures, finished it yesterday. For a show of its type, it wasn't half bad. It was actually way cool. 35 episodes may not have been much, but I'll take it.
  8. I have seasons 1-5 saved to a flash drive, they're the color-corrected iTunes versions that I downloaded more than two years ago, all in 720p without watermarks. My images folder is only two thirds MLP, the rest is LPS, Maryoku Yummy, etc. It's 22MB.
  9. The gameplay here looks like A Hat in Time meets Mario Party meets Super Mario Odyssey. It's cool, but I'm looking forward to Klonoa more than this to be honest.
  10. Some episodes in locations that were mentioned but never shown, i.e. Hoofington, Maretonia, Fillydelphia, Trottingham, etc. Episodes with the Wonderbolts Episodes with the Background Six A Scootaloo episode that explores her disability in the same vein as Common Ground but with better jokes
  11. The changelings were the most badass species in the show until they metamorphosized, and it was meh in their every subsequent appearance. Curiously, that softened a bit with Ocellus when I watched some of the last seasons. I was never that crazy about the yaks. I didn't mind them, same with a handful of other species that aren't changelings, dragons, griffons, or breezies (those four, by the way, I still think are a nice touch). Just that adding one species/mythical creature after another only for them to get sporadic appearances if any at all was yet another thing that dragged down the latter seasons. Folks, there's world building, and there's introducing a bunch of concepts and underutilizing them.
  12. A Husky/German Shepherd mix named Sunny. Technically, he wasn't our dog, but when I was a baby and my siblings and I played outside, he'd watch over us day and night.
  13. So far my brother-in-law, sister, and one of my nieces tested positive for Covid, but got over it quickly. I'd be amazed if it was the Omicron strain strain as it's really contagious. My sister just had a whooping cough. I suggested honey tea to help ease the symptoms.
  14. Klonoa! I was really looking into buying a PS2 and the Japanese version of Klonoa 2, but now I'll get to play both games, even if one is the Wii version of Door to Phantomile.
  15. From the get go, I didn't think so highly of this show, but after watching Topped With Buttercream and a handful of other episodes, that changed, and now it's my fourth favorite show since 2017. The 2018 reboot was passable. Not a complete waste of time, but some things were dragging it down to where I almost gave up on it. But on the whole this iteration is more worth my while. My favorite characters here are Pepper, Sunil, and Penny Ling.
  16. Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks. The best parts of the movie to be sure were The Dazzlings and Sunset Shimmer.
  17. I've mentioned this in another thread, but the Klonoa franchise. As far as action/platformers go, I'd say that Klonoa was ahead of his time. Door to Phantomile's gameplay was not only impeccable for a game in its category, but also the story was impactful.
  18. Turns out there was a Polly Pocket season 3... and a season 4, which came to Netflix a couple of weeks ago. Almost disappointingly, Griselle and Gwen weren't in them, but there were nonetheless some fun episodes.
  19. Can't go wrong with a Granny smith or Fuji apple.
  20. She looked really good for her age too, fit as a fiddle.
  21. I was exactly 18 when the show first aired, and it wouldn't be another two years before I started watching.
  22. Mine are: Granny Smith Suri Polomare Limestone Pie Fancy Pants Bulk Biceps Steven Magnet Cherry Jubilee Vapor Trail Soarin Mr. and Mrs. Cake Filthy Rich
  23. DJ Pon-3 has a voice: Shannon Chan-Kent. But she only speaks when Octavia isn't around. Queen Chrysalis is a surprisingly good baker. Applejack's parents are still alive. If Grand Pear could spare the energy to reunite with Granny Smith, then why wouldn't they be?
  24. No, but when I rewatch anything with, say, Tabitha in it, sometimes I forget that it's a real person in a recording studio saying those lines. So it does break the immersion just a hair. I'd love to meet these people. I know they're on Facebook or Instagram when their days aren't filled with recording or going to conventions, but I don't trust social media enough to go for it.
  25. Not really a big loss, seeing as I stopped watching MLP on Netflix before the pandemic started. Because 1) I knew the show would be taken down someday soon, and 2) I already have seasons 1-5 backed up to a flash drive. Because when a show or movie leaves Netflix or other streaming platform, like something posted on the internet, it doesn't "go away" forever, it becomes accessible by other means.
