No. First of all, with Season 10 implying that the Cosmos Arc is canon, we know that two things can kill a being like Discord: One acting opposite to the thing they embody. Second option is destroying chaos completely, as Cosmos boasted that Malice can not be destroyed. While Cosmos is a separate entity from Discord, they are both the same type of entity. That is to say: They both are embodiment of a force of sorts, Discord Chaos, and Cosmos Malice. Even if you don't buy into that argument, Discord still wouldn't die. First off: Lets get something clear here: There is not a single mention of Discord and stoning that says "covered in stone", it always mentions he is turned into stone, not encased by it. Furthermore, when Discord shatters himself, we clearly see that his insides are also made of stone. There is too much evidence against Discord being merely encased in stone. Ranging from the wording to how we see it happen. So, why is this relevant? Because of his brain. Discords entire body; brain included, was turned into non-functioning stone. That means no brain waves, and no neuroelectric impulses travelling around his body. That means he isn't capable of thinking. He isn't capable of feeling, or sensing anything around him. yet he was revealed to have been conscious as a statue. This means that Discord does not need a brain or organs to function, as he was conscious without it. And if he can stay conscious without his brain, then what good is it? Who cares if his brain gets shattered into pieces. It's as useless a statue as it is in pieces. The situation remains the same. That said, if you shattered him, and his magic was negated, he probably wouldn't be able to do anything to put himself back together. He be stuck like that. Just like the Storm King.
