I think it's painfully overrated. Most of the popular mane six ships are overrated and the unpopular mane six ships are underrated

Rarijack is one of the most overrated though, above Flutterdash, Twidash, and Twipie, in that order

Rarijack and the others I mentions are overrated and take away a lot of attention from the actually good ones like Twishy, Twijack, Pinkiedash, and Raridash

I've seen someone make one for Appledash vs Flutterdash, so here's one for Twipie and Twidash. Both are very popular ships. I dislike both of them so I don't know which one I'd choose, but I guess I'd go with Twidash, 'cause the fanart is really cute (Twipie fanart is cute too but think Twidash art is cuter)

I was hoping you all would be interested in helping created a master list of all official ship names for the popular pairings in MLP:FiM. Other fandoms seem to have one, and just for consistency's sake, I felt like we should start constructing and perfecting one as well!
 
Keep in mind that these ships do not necessarily have to be romantic ships - some people ship characters in the sense of friendship pairings (brotps), sibling pairings, etc... basically, if you think they have (or would have) awesome chemistry on the show, then they ought to have a ship name! Don't get freaked out just became the word "ship" has taken on negative connotations.
 
Below I will list the ships that I have heard of at one point or another. However, there's no guarantee they are all correct. Post below if you have a ship name suggestion of your own, or please tell me if I got the name wrong on the list and I can change it! I don't know the proper names for a lot of ships, so please, please HELP!

I believe you are severaly overestimating Rainbow Dash

It always bugs me how people always say Rainbow Dash is shipped with everyone when she doesn't even have the most ships. Both Fluttershy and Twilight have more ships

Personally, Twilight is one of my least favorites. Her character was not handled right

We all know by now that Twilight is the princess of friendship and is ruling Equestria. But episodes like Lesson Zero and Trivia Trot make me wonder. Is she really a good fit to rule Equestria

Which ship do you think shouldn't exist or doesn't make sense and why. You can give multiple ships, that's fine. I'm not looking for your "least favorite" ship, I'm looking for something you just don't understand and don't see a reasoning to exist. Maybe you like the ship a little, but don't get why it was made.

Rules (There's only two)
1: No crossover, innappropriate, or illegal ships, because that's too obvious. Example: Pipsqueak x Luna, Luna x Celestia, Apple Bloom x Applejack, Twilight x Mordecai, etc.
2: No being rude. If you see someone confused about a ship that you see a very obvious reason to, you can point it out, but don't be mean about it. Remember not every MLP fan watches every single episode and pays attention to every little detail.

I know my pick is going to be very controversial as it's one of, if not THE most popular ship in MLP, but it is my choice. I say Lyrabon

Before everyone grabs their pitchforks, let me explain.

Most of the popular background pony ships are terrible, like Sweetiemash, Derpywhooves, Octascratch, Carajack, pretty much all of them. But Lyrabon to me, easily takes the dry cake. This ship just feels like such a nothing ship to me. It feels so bland and pointless. I do know this ship was made because they're almost always together... That's it... And I don't get it. It is just such dumb logic. When I was younger and saw these two together I always thought it meant they were best friends, but NOPE. Appearently not. Nothing can EVER be platonic in this world! The only time these characters got scenes together that actually prove something more is between them, it was after "Slice of life". And at that point, it was just for fanservice, so to me it doesn't count. It feels like they're together just so people can feed their inner lesbian (I'm not against lesbians. It's just very unfortunate that in MLP most of the girls are best friends or sisters)
To sum it up, this is a dumb ship that shouldn't exist.

I don't get it either. People say it's canon but it really isn't. People just be dumb and say "hey he gave her flowers, that must mean something"

I hope I don't start an argument for saying this, but Fluttershy's voice actor has said that Fluttershy might have a little crush on Discord, and there was that "i wanna marry Discord" thing in "She talks to an angel" so... She might feel the same way
