I have nothing against Sunny, Izzy, or any of the G5 cast but I really do not accept that Equestria could be taken down so easily by one third rate alicorn. Even if you factor in the magic stealing they have rainbow powers which seem to be immune to this effect among several other safeguards against such a thing. 

I feel like they wrote off G4's transition into G5 far too quickly. 

It was something like Discord was tricked into helping her or after Fluttershy abandoned Discord he went mad and then she took over during the mess I could see that but as is I don't believe it.
