    Alrighty, I shall  make a quick review of MLP:FIM season 1 episodes 1&2 Friendship is harmony.
    For obvious reasons this and ALL further reviews of the episode in question will spoil the plot of the episode so if you have not seen the episode in question it is probably a good idea to come back to the review later on after you have.
    The episode begins with The reading narration of the history of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, how they watched over the land and ponies as the leaders of Equestria and more to the point how Luna became Nightmare moon. Thereafter, Celestia was forced to banish her own sister to the moon. 
    So, what does this mean from a symbolic and metaphysical reference point?
    Well let's look at first at the meaning of what is a princess first and foremost.  Now, this may sound like a simple concept of either family and or divine right but really  that is an almost purely human  point of view on the subject.  A more divine or heaven type of perspective would better equate a princess more as a mother and a teacher as opposed to a direct ruler per say. 
    A good example of what I mean is to think of the Karate Kid and Daniel's relationship with his sensei  Miyagi. Miyagi didn't make him bow to him, did not humiliate him or treat him as some lower class "thing" etc instead he treated him akin to a son and taught him his Karate.  Even though he clearly knew more he always treated Daniel with respect and dignity. They were always equals in his eyes in other words. 
    This is how heaven would describe a Prince/princess or any other type of royalty: One that is willing to teach, nurture, and inspire the ones they are to guide and watch over. The first into battle and the very last one to retreat in a sense. 
    Okay, anyways getting back to summarizing the meaning of Princesses Celestia and Luna.  Celestia's name originates from the word Celestial or a more direct translation would be of heaven or heavens. We tend to associate and only think of her as the Princess of the sun or as some may call her "sunbutt" due to her sun shaped but she is far more than than this but we will dive more into that as we experience more of her character. 
    For now, just from what we see in the short story read to us we can gather that she loves both her subjects and her sister equally but when she was forced to act for the greater good she did not hesitate.  
    When you look at this from a more direct perspective what it is saying is that heaven loves all of us equally but in order to ensure harmony is not disrupted when there appears a negative or otherwise evil force of energy it becomes needed for heaven to remove this "disruptive energy" so that it does not cause further damage. 
    Had Celestia AKA "heaven" not removed NMM then at best there would been a civil war and or some other division of powers not only forcing the two sisters against each other but the other ponies against one another as well.  So, in the end though it pained her to do it Celestia banished her sister away not because she resented her but because it was because she feared a greater harm being done to both her sister and the ponies she guided. 
    Here is Luna/NMM's perspective and lesson on this matter.  We first hear of Luna becoming angry that she BELIEVED (and trust me this is the key thing ) ponies hated or even despised her night thus why they slept through it.  or as she put it Shunning her beautiful work whilst they adored her sisters majestic day. 
    So, right there we have the issue of Envy, Luna is envious of the fame her sister has or again more accurately what she believes to be her sister's fame. 
    It is very important to understand that during the transition from respectable and divine driven princess into the corrupt NMM that it did happen within a day er night it was a slow gradual process.  Luna did not bother to check with her subjects on how they really felt about her night if she had she would have realized the truth that instead of hating the night they loved it so much that it allowed them to relax in peace. That is they felt even more at peace with the night. 
    That was the major mistake Luna made was just to assume the way others felt about her.  She simply decided what their views were without even even trying to learn if what she thought matched what the truth was. 
    Princess Luna her self as most may have already guessed represents the moon and night. But what does NMM mean?
    NMM in this particular case represents the corrupted or ego driven soul. One that has allowed their ego to drive them away from the harmony of friendship of divine blessings etc.  The banishment represents the ego stripping away and blocking off divine energy. 
    Being "trapped in the moon" both represents solitude and trapped inside one's own heart.  That is Luna is in a very literal sense trapped inside NMM: feeling alone, scared etc.  That is how we may feel sometimes when we allow our ego to control our lives we may feel as if we are really sitting beside this "new" us this ego driven mind we created from our fears and doubts. 
    Much like Luna we should never presume to know the mind and hearts of others nor should we withhold our own feelings from others.  Had Luna done this and faced her fear she would have realized her anger was over nothing.  
     
    Some big lessons and information to ponder on for sure and all that was just covering the intro. 
     
    tomorrow I shall cover Twilight and Spike as well as them meeting their new best friends details. 
    Forgive me work is tiring so most of this may be a bit slow and done from the weekends.

    Alot of people including myself have always wondered what the origin of the universe or if some power created what we think and know to be quote "God" or whatever your religion calls it's divine. 
    By "God" here I simply mean any divine figure that is considered key to your belief system so if you worship say Celestia or Ra or whoever else it would be the same thing really. I just don't list them all here because it would be a very very long list.
    The truth is we can never know and probably will never be able to understand it as such matters are just beyond us.
    And ultimately you just have to learn to accept things just kind of "are" in a way.
    Sometimes mysteries of the past will always remain mysteries.
    Maybe everything just always was?
    It's not a bad question it's simply that it might be better to focus on the here and now where we can actually accomplish things as no power can alter the past.

    On this blog I will discuss the very basic nature of magic and its inner workings for a better understanding of it.
    The first thing that should be understood is when it comes to magic intent is always the biggest thing for it. 
    It does not matter if you are using the best spell in the universe if your intent is not correct whatever you are trying to do will automatically fail every time. 
    If for example you wish to heal another then you must have your intention on a place of love and light removing all negativity from your mind.
    If you desire wealth then you must focus your intention about money and so forth.
    Another very important thing to consider is the source from which you are drawing the power for the magick.
    There are two basic kinds of magical in existence one is from service to self and one is from service to others.
    The more negative power is from service to self and while it may provide greater short term gains its cost will only cause pain in the long term.
    Another way of describing service to self magick is called dark magick and the source of power for this is to steal from the collective energy or rather it akin to an act of parasitic action against the creator.
    This is why such a thing cannot last long term because if you're just taking and taking sooner or later there will be nothing left to take.
    The other concept service to others is a method by which you work WITH the collective energy to gain but yet at the same time help to add more back into the collective energy.
    It is the true nature of light magick.
    Let me give a short example of each using the example of you are a CEO of a company.
    If you were focusing  on a service to self type of business you would pay your employees the absolute bare minimum, work them like dogs to squeeze every ounce of work and product of them as possible, you would cut corners and charge the highest possible amount you could convince someone to pay and overall your product might little more than a cheap piece of crap.
    So your workers may or may not be able to get by, your product while cheap will not last but you're making a TON of money during all this however it will not last. Your workers will eventually be forced to quit to get better jobs, your customers will grow tired of your crappy products then soon after your money flow will slow down and you will lose all that you have not saved.
    The flip side of course would be a service to others business model in which you pay your employees a decent wage, you reward their hard work for you and you do not work them to the bone, you also promote a healthy and well working product.
    the results this time are that you will not start off as rich but as your employees realize working for you is beneficial to them they will not desire to leave and may even encourage others to work for you growing your business further and allowing more to be done.
    your customers will appreciate your product quality and keep coming for more creating better long term gain.
    The point simply being that when you focus on magic you should always do so from a place of love and harmony, always focusing on the greater good.
    and yes if you are wondering even material gain can be of a greater good if done correctly.
    no matter what you desire you should NEVER EVER be trying to focus on any working magic if you are in anger, sick or have any kind of negative energy right now.
    if you do focus on healing or recharging until you feel 100% again.
    A very basic aspect for both you and others is all magic used on another should ONLY be done with the consent of another.
    If the other person has NOT said yes specifically then it is not advised to do anything to help them.
    Likewise, the angels, guides and other spirits within your life cannot help you unless you specifically ask for it.
    This is a spiritual law known as the law of ask or request if you will.
    Now, how you ask or "pray" is through your heart NOT your words.
    It works by feeling for your desire and the stronger your feelings the faster it will work for you.
    Just be aware much like the old saying goes do be careful what you ask for as you may just get it.
    Finally, trust in your heart when you do start to receive answers to the questions you asked of the universe.
    It may not come to you in the form you expected but it will come to you and you will know it from your heart when it arrives.
    In my own personal case it was in a library where I was simply browsing the shelves looking for a good story to ready when a book simply fell off the shelf near where I was.
    I looked at and it was exactly what I was looking for and needed at the time.
    Now, while it may not do direct an answer be sure to pay attention if you keep encountering something coming to you repeatedly it may very well be your answer.
    Just think of service to self as working with evil against God and service to others aspect as working with God.
    God of course meaning to be universal concept of the source of all collective energy not just on earth but ALL that ever was, is and has yet to be.

    Elements of harmony a basic guide.

    Elements of spirit understanding
    A basic guide for spiritual understanding of what the MLP elements of harmony are and how they can be defined for our every day life.
     
    Note that these are stated in any particular order with the exception of magic being  last.
    Let's start with the element of loyalty.
    What exactly is loyalty defined as here because it sounds simple enough by itself it just means you're loyal to your friends right?
    WRONG, that's not at all what the element is about. The element of loyalty is actually staying true to one's self or destiny and helping others to do the same.
    In other words, it's about staying strong and not letting anything bring you outside your goals and your hearts desires. 
    laughter is pretty self explanatory but here goes anyways. Laughter is simply about raising the spirits of your fellow being and to help ease them by bringing them the gift of joy to help bring about a more positive feeling.
    honesty is about speaking one's truth and not cowering to the lies of this world. Even if the truth hurts it hurts but for a moment but a lie will always keep pain going forever. 
    Kindness is about aiding the downhearted and distraught back towards their goals when they need it. Basically in a nutshell kindness is about being both a guide and healer to those hurt in mind, body or spirit. An important note that enabling a bad behavior , action etc which serves only to cause a greater harm is NOT kindness but a cruelty instead.  
     
    Generosity is about sharing AND receiving in spirit with others. Yes, despite the obvious part of generosity being about the act of sharing with others it also about celebrating your self as well and enjoying the fruits of your own labor. If you're wondering but isn't celebrating and enjoying the wealth or materialistic values the definition of greed? 
    The answer is no that is not at all greed. Greed has nothing to do with how big of a slice of the pie  of life you desire at all in fact that is a good thing because that pie is unlimited so if you want a huge slice go ahead there is always more.  No, GREED is when you take action to STEAL the slice of pie off of another's plate. In other words greed can be defined as theft.
    When you commit theft you will find in time that the pie eventually does become limited because your theft is preventing the making of more pie. That's why if we're all generous the pie never ends because no matter how much you an individual take the group as a collective are always contributing far more in than you can possibly take.
    Last but certainly not least we have the element of magic. Magic is the link and connection of all of the above elements as one. It is the love and connection we have towards our friends and our family. It is the ability to change the world and improve upon ourselves. Working with others to build a better world if you will. Co creation might be a good word to describe it in a sense. You are both the character in a story we call life and yet magic allows you to write in that story a bit as well. 
    The very key if magic is the part of working WITH not AGAINST or rather you understand you are above none and none are above you. You respect the sacred and never attempt to control, hurt etc another. To put it in a much simpler truth cooperation NOT competition.

    why TV is worse than you may think.

    Television or TV as it may be more commonly called these days is not at all your friend and while yes after a hard day of working it's easy to desire to sit down and just relax in front of the TV there are several reasons you really shouldn't. 
    First of TV kills your brains ability to visualize and imagine as it's all right there  whereas if you were to just hear or see a description it makes your brain have to work and create the image from scratch. 
    Blue light is yet another issue as it can cause you to get lost in TV and not even be ware of it.  In other words, your eyes can indeed get so focused on the flashing lights, and sounds that you basically become hypnotized by it.   The blue light also has a negative effect on your natural sleep and REM dream patterns as well.  
    lastly, if you're trying to practice say telepathy without allowing your eyes, mind etc proper rest you will find connecting to a meditative state far more difficult because tv makes it that much harder for your mind to relax. 
    So if you want to live a better and happier life ditch the tv and go for audio or e-books to enjoy.  You will find yourself feeling far less on edge and more intune with your enviroment. 
    If you're wondering by the way just having a tv plugged in even if it's off will still have some negative effect on you. True it won't be as bad as when it is on but it is still there. So, even if you won't quite ditch the TV at the very least make sure you COMPLETELY unplug and if possible NEVER keep the tv in the same room as the one you plan to sleep in. 
     
    If possible you want to keep your bedroom as simple and electronic free as possible. Trust me, it helps SOOOO much with resting and sleeping. it's like night and day.

    Universal laws explained.

    Real life knowledge from Equestria
    (laws of life category)- The Law of Attraction- You attract whatever it is that your are focused on so if you focus on what you desire you get that if you focus on what you do not desire you get that as well.
     
    The Law of Request- You have free will and as such nothing can come into your life to help or hurt unless you specifically request it.
     
    The Law of Resistance- energy you fight against only serves to strengthen said energy and that is because your subconscious doesn't understand what a "negative" is nor "fictitious". So,  when you focus on something like "I hate being poor" what your subconscious hears is "Be poor" if you wish to remove a negative energy attachment you just flat out ignore it or focus on it's positive counter part.
    in this case "I know there is still wealth to be made." 
    The Law of Reflection- often what you see in other is a spiritual reflection of yourself. If you see others as dog lovers when you just lost your dog is a reflection of your feelings for that dog coming back to you.
     
    The Law of Projection- very similar to the above but this one is more about how you consciously describe others and or features you attribute to them be they positive or negative could indeed be how you are describing yourself. If for example you think everyone is a jerk then maybe you think you are actually the jerk and your just projecting that feeling in others around you. Like wise if you think everyone is very nice then again you might be projecting that onto others.
     
    The Law of Attachment- anything that you overly attached will only cause you harm and should be removed be it a person, an item etc. If for example your "friend" is constantly getting you involved in trouble and or belittling you down then sever that so called "friend" attachment to yourself. You only seek only healthy relations of growth not unhealthy attachments 
     
    (Laws of creation)- The Law of Attention- whatever you are focused on the most is what you will attract the closest to you. So, if you desire something focus on JUST that something.
    The Law of Flow- in order to gain something you must make room for the new by removing the old.
    if you desire friendship you must remove the hate to make room for friendship. If you want "X" new game system but your gaming area is full you must remove an older system to give room for the new. 
    keep the energy flow open in other words.
     
    The Law of Abundance- There is no limit to what you can manifest nor is there a limit to the resources of the universe to fulfill your request.
     
    The Law of Clarity- the clearer you are to the universe of what you want the better the overall outcome of getting it will be. 
     
    The Law of Intention- focus on what your intention is to manifest that overall desire better. If you desire wealth because you wish to get a farm to live on the don't focus on wealth focus on the farm then.
    The Law of Prosperity-  As you begin to better focus on what you desire then it will begin to build on itself. Your happiness feeds itself further and makes it easier to manifest things you desire.
    The Law of Manifestation- You will manifest that which you attract the most consistently into your life.
    The Law of Success- similar to the law of prosperity. When you fully align your intent, focus etc in balance with what you desire at a constant focus time and time again your life goals and desire will constantly succeed in life. Things will happen faster, more frequently etc etc.
     
    (Laws of higher awareness)-The Law of Balance and Polarity- life is all about balance so if you have an imbalance in your life say you are ignoring friends then in order to move forward the universe will attempt to work with you to correct said imbalance first. If your relations with friends are unbalanced you might find that you get a lot of friendly people annoying you as the universe is trying to tell you that you need to fix that issue. 
    The Law of Karma AKA Law of soul contract- you have an agreement for your soul to learn and develop on earth and as such some things of good or adversity will happen as worked out in advance in that agreement or "soul contract".  If for example you find you are a very masculine personality but your sex is female it could be that you as a normally masculine soul entered into an agreement to incarnate into a female body in order to better understand that experience. 
    The Law of Reincarnation- an extension of the above law of karma which simply adds on if you fail to achieve the goal you desired in your agreement you will simply repeat a similar life experience until that agreement is fulfilled.
    The Law of Responsibility- your life, attractions, attachments etc are the responsibility of YOU and YOU alone. If you choose not to fix your life, remove negative attachments etc then you take responsibility for the consequences of that.
    The Law of Discrimination- take time to discern truth from fiction and do not believe all that you hear.
    The Law of Affirmation- repetition of focus creates better manifesting so if you're wanting friendship and you repeatedly tell yourself how much you hate yourself, listening to songs about violence etc you are affirming those things in your life BUIUUT if you are doing just the opposite and giving your mind repetitive thoughts on loving yourself, your friends etc then it will affirm that instead.
     
    The Law of Prayer- send your energy out with the intent clearly or rather in simple terms pray with your heart.
    The Law of Meditation- take a moment every now and then to work with your subconscious and clear your mind. . The Law of Challenge- you have the right to challenge information presented to you.
     
    (Laws of higher frequency)- The Law of Frequency or Vibration- all energy has its own unique frequency or "radio station" if you will. The more you match your own frequency to what you desire the easier it is to attract and like wise the less your energy matches the harder it is attract. 
    If you want Pink Floyd music but you tuning into the Jazz radio station you ain't getting Pink Floyd music. You HAVE to tune into a rock station for that. Same principle here.
     
    The Law of Miracles- do not worry about the "how" aspect of attract. The universe will always make the impossible happen.
    The Law of Healing- always take time to heal and purify your energy of any unwanted negative emotions, attachments, negative thoughts etc. 
    The Law of Purification- the purer your energy the better you will manifest and likewise if you have many negative thoughts, cloudy or darkened energy etc then it will be much harder.
    The Law of Perspective- always keep in mind that your perspective on things may not always be what is actually happening. Real life example of myself I once ended up losing a job and at first it seemed that it was a negative outcome BUT I ended up stumbling upon a far greater job as a result of this. 
    So, some times things happen for a greater purpose outside of your perspective but not the universe's.
     
    . The Law of Gratitude- express your gratitude for the things in your life as it helps create a more positive and higher energy vibration level for you.
    The Law of Blessings- understand that the universe is very generous and will always give MUCH of you are manifesting. Or more to the point the higher and healthier your vibrational frequency the faster things will manifest and likewise the lower it is the slower things will happen.
    . The Law of Decree- That which you declare of others or yourself is the strongest statement you tell the universe. The two most powerful words for affirmation are "I am" because ANYTHING following that is your declaration of yourself. So, if you say " I am weak" you just declared yourself as weak. Same thing the other way if you declare yourself as strong "I am strong" you declare yourself as strong.  This is why certain phrases should be avoided or redone. For example never say "I am sorry" because you JUST said "I am A sorry individual" instead say "I apologize." 
    word phrasing and word choice DOES matter 
    The Law of Faith- Trust in the universe to bring to you what you need. The Law of Grace- learn to accept and always forgive yourself and others. Love yourself and accept yourself first and foremost.
     
    . The Law of One- everything is connected and I mean EVERYTHING. Your actions for or against others will always affect you because what you say or do on others is really just you doing that to yourself.

    Unicorns and the power of belief

    Real life knowledge from Equestria
    (I shall edit this and add more to it later on).
    The power of the unicorn to perform magic and your mind both share something in common you wouldn't think of...
    Belief.
    You might be now wondering what belief and magic have in common right now.
    The answer is that you have believed that your ideas are just make-believe concepts coming out of thin air: your characters, your stories etc all things come from nothing and exist within nothingness AKA a void within your mind.
    But, have you ever considered that those ideas didn't come from nothing but instead SOME thing?
    Another world, another life perhaps, the point being here ideas should not be seen as dead but more alive and a living energy.
    Unicorns and other such beings can exist within such places and even communicate with us in them.
    In moments where you may feel alone or sad you might sometimes feel as if there is someone there giving comfort to you in such a dark times. Angels, and various other guides in our lives can visit us from time to time and if those unicorns can indeed be one of those guides.
    Shockingly, what makes all this possible is simply your belief that it is possible to... start accepting of yourself and loving of yourself.
    Just to clarify here obviously there is more to just "think and it happens immediately" of course one key thing being the more focus and energy you feed into the faster it happens and likewise the attention you give it the less it will happen.

    The pony types of Equestria an attempt to explain possible origins and the different origins of different pony types: Earth, Pegasi, and unicorns.
    First let's start with the Earth ponies or ponies of the world of nature.  Their origin is a fairly simple one born of a fusion of the elements of the land they are able to use their magic to grow and alter the world of nature as they see fit at least with plant life as shown in G5. Why they didn't use it before could be any number of reasons perhaps they had lost their connection to such power or felt little need to use it beyond such a basic level. 
    I suspect Granny Smith's "crazy rituals" may have been an attempt from her to bring back the stronger earth pony magics and skills with her family. Again all of this is speculation but at the very least I do highly believe earth ponies had the magic abilities long before G5. 
     Pegasi info now.  The pegasi hold two possible origins are that they are born of the element s of water and air AKA t the union of the sky and sea in holy unity. 
    They possess the magic to alter the states of water and air from a simple calm breeze to a destructive thunderstorm and everything inbetween the ponies of the sky and sea hold reign over all forms of weather however they because their bodies require them to be very light weight they are unable to do any type of gardening or food growing as they do not possess the needed strength or connection with the earth to grow crops. 
    You may be thinking but I've seen Dash, Lightening Dust etc cause MASSIVE destruction to property, and have strength seemingly equal to Applejack a nd yes that is true however their connections are to the SKY and SEA only NOT to the earth itself so if they attempted to plant they would be unable to grow anything just life if an earth pony were to attempt to control the weather they would not be able to do so correctly ether. 
     
    Finally, we discuss the Unicorn race of ponies a very unique class of pony indeed as they born of mental beliefs and dreams of the other ponies their existence is a sort of paradox in that they were born of magic itself and yet since unicorns are the only race of ponies known to use magic it begs the question of which would have come forth first the power of magic that created the unicorn or did the unicorn appear first and learn to create magic?
    Either way I suspect ultimately that the  two were for lack of a better "willed" into existence by either one or both of the other two pony classes perhaps this is why unicorns seem to have the ability to work with the earth and control weather through their magic it is done through their connection with their parents. 
    The unicorns represent the power of the mind and the gift of co creation that is working with the power of the universe to build with it. When done correctly it can be used to bring to life the dreams and wishes of their fellow ponies and beings to bring happiness and love but when used incorrectly well... the Tantabus should give you some idea...
    Earth, sky n sea and mind once mastered successfully will allow any pony that is not already an alicorn to become one they are a hidden fourth type and the watchers and protectors of the other three classes. It might even be possible that at some point in the future once mastered all ponies could very well become alicorns in which cases they would share and do the tasks together that each of the three classes had done solo. 
    Unfortunately, without more info on the origins of the alicorns there is no way to know much more than this. 
     
    I'm really not sure what else to say beyond though I would like to perhaps if I think of something else I will if you have questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them.

    One of the most interesting things of MLP is their element rainbow spell. 
    Which brings me to the subject of this blog the meaning of the rainbow.
    The colors of the rainbow represent the spiritual and physical chakra system.
    For example red represents the physical or base physical chakra system.
    Like wise, in the opposite end of the rainbow the color of indigo represents the God head or connection to one's higher self and the spiritual world.
    And even beyond that there is also another of the masculine and feminine energy genders as united.
    Note that masculine and feminine are NOT male and female despite what society may make you think.
    They are two energies that have the paradox of always working together despite being polar opposites of each other: spiritual with physical, creation energy with destructive energy.
    I bring this up simply to help in understanding that the point of the rainbow is how all these details, energies etc by themselves would be considered odd if not perhaps even ugly but when working together create something of beauty, wonder etc.
    This rainbow system doesn't just stop with the human body and can come in more macro forms as well such unity of the elements:air, earth , fire etc.
    The MLP:FIM is just a very good example of the unity of their own unique chakra  magic system. 
    And much like as seen when Discord messes with the mane six when one or more points on this chakra system it doesn't work correctly and can become corrupted.
    That corruption can cause things like fear: egotism, pain etc.
     
    Prime examples of a masculine corrupted energy system would be Nightmare Moon and Sombra wherein their energy was so dark they were working to stop any all feminine energy creating authoritarian viewpoints on their subjects.
    No creativity, no joy etc everything becomes rational and direct there's no love or empathy when this happens.
    Likewise an imbalance on the other end can also be a very bad thing.
    two prime examples of overbearing energy can be found with Fluttershy and Starlight Glimmer.
    in the Fluttershy's case the time she had the breezies and became far too overprotective of them to the point where she unintentionally began to block their true path and in the case of Starlight she refused to allow ANY darkness into her small village as its leader.
    In both the case of Fluttershy and Starlight Glimmer what happens is you end up with issues of laziness, ignorance, weakness etc.
    the villagers lost their sense of self appreciation and became mindless drones for Starlight. In the case of the breezies they were starting to loose their minds and spirits...
    However when combined correctly such as Princesses Celestia and Luna working for the unity of day and night you get a working system that allows for not only an appreciation of self but of  chance for understanding of others as well.
     Now, the chakra system is of course a part of the masculine and feminine energies and those energies are likewise a part of the rainbow chakra system.
    Neither exists without the other one and all must work together in harmony.

    We've all seen in many MLP episodes Twilight, AJ, Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Dash all channel their energy into the elements of harmony creating a rainbow spiral in the series or in the case of rainbow rocks it creates a giant alicorn spirit energy... 
    First lets look at the mlp version then get to the EG version and yes btw before you ask it is a bit different but technically speaking the elements ARE there in EG. 
    The elements work by channeling the power of the soul based a six energy formation the center point being the full energy of the other five connected at one point and also connecting the other five to it as well. 
    I say six energy point because given that that it has been shown the elements of harmony in the past used different energies from the six of magic, kindness, generosity, laughter, loyalty,  and honesty in the past which means that the elements of harmony can very much go by many different forms and different types of harmony energies.  Thus, it can be assumed so long as whatever energy channeled by the six individuals are some form of harmonious energy it will work just the same. 
    In other words whether it is kindness, courage, love, earth etc etc it matters not just so long as it is something that allows the channeling of harmony overall.
     Anyways, the elements themselves only act a natural amplifier for the energy that is already there in the individual using it and as such by itself cannot create any power by itself per say. So, if the individual has either a warped of negative energy then the element/ elements will not work properly as seen when Twilight attempted to use them with her friends in their "corrupt" statuses. 
    The tree of harmony itself I'm not 100% sure on how it works exactly but I assume that the elements act much like its magical heart and that without them the tree simply becomes an ordinary tree. The harmony energy of the elements within the tree are the harmony of all harmony elements fused together.  So, yes they are more powerful within the tree than with the individuals using them as unless the given pony in question is an absolute master of all harmony energy/magic their ability to use the element is limited to what they are capable of. 
    Moving on, let's look at what the elements do to the opposing force or "evil character" they hit. First it is important to understand that in terms of positive or negative magic the two energies can never co exist and the two will always conflict with each other until they are both exhausted or  until one overpowers the other one.  in the case of the elements their positive energy removes and replaces the negative energy of the individual's dark magical power. 
    The ending result of which depends on the level of good to evil the dark magic user being hit by the rainbow blast actually is. Luna was not an evil power but was more a misguided and toxic energy than an actual evil so the result for her was that the elements cleansed her of all all those  that were not part of her true self removing all of that toxic energy out of her. 
    if you used the elements against someone who was good say if you tried to use them against Princess Celestia it would very likely have a healing or regenerative effect on them since all you are doing is adding more positive energy to another positive. 
    Alright, that is a basic for how it works in Equestria so we can move on to the discussion of EG.  The truth EG is that the elements of harmony existing and being used by their pony counterparts automatically gives access to those same elemental energies for their human counterparts and the reason for that is that BOTH human and pony are in fact the very same being.  Thus the harmony power the humanized version of the mane six use are just a more watered down version of the power in Equestria as it is still there just the connection to that element is much weaker and is being channeled more from a kind of higher self in some sense. 
    The power they are calling from is the point of connection between their human self and their pony self. 
     
    Cool and all but how on earth does any of this have anything to do with me as a person?  Well, while it may not be as magical and flashy the cartoonish elements are a great example of both how to protect yourself from your more toxic traits and how utilizing this with other family and friends can help as well. You may not have a magical artifact but you can focus on affirmations and choose what energy you create and grow for yourself like wise you can help your friends and family to do the same and if you only grow the positive then you leave no room for the negative to take root thus it will go away in time. 
    Now, an important thing to note is that being positive does NOT mean having your head stuck in the clouds or being in denial about things happening to you  by any means it just means that instead of dwelling on teh issue at hand you are looking for the solution to your problem and taking charge of the situation to empower yourself.  your own soul becoming an element in a way.
