Welcome!
You can post in Welcome Plaza to introduce yourself! Then from there on you can do whatever interests you. For example, there's pony-related forums here where you can post about ponies, and general and media discussion forums for other stuff. You can also navigate to the forums games and lounge to have fun there too. Status updates are for anything you want to say, so that's another thing you can do.
It's all up to you though as to what you want to do on these forums, that was just my recommendations!

A good place to start is to say hi in the Welcome Plaza and mention all the epic things you're interested in!
And then just follow these rules:
When mods are asleep - post ponies
When mods are awake - post ponies
And you'll be fine
