Tell Your Tale Season 2 has delivered yet another banger, but this one might be on a whole other level. Dare I say it, it’s an “unexpected masterpiece,” and managed to completely redeem this show’s portrayal of Izzy Moonbow for me. I honestly can’t believe it. Normally, I’d just make video essays about how awesome MYM was, but with how good this season is, and how much it’s managed to hook me, I figured I’d rave about what is now my favorite G5 special: “The Blockywockys.” Yes, this was posted to YouTube about three days ago, but hey…better late than never. I loved this episode so much that I decided that my normal reviews would not do this justice. So a full on video essay it is, then. Please enjoy!

Hello, everypony. My name is Hawk Nightwing, and welcome to my first ever topic post. Make Your Mark does NOT deserve the hate that it has gotten by the fandom and I am going to prove it. And thus, a project that’s been a labor of love for nine months finally got to see the light of day. I am very proud of how it turned out, but the real judges of the video shall be you guys. Prepare to experience my ultimate masterpiece of an analysis video, all 1 hour and 34 minutes of it. Yes, I am dead serious. That’s how long it is. This video shall be the first of two MYM defense videos, with this one covering the Chapters 1-3 setup era of this show, whereas Part 4 will cover Chapters 4-6. It’s been a long time coming, but you guys will finally get to see the first part of the definitive MYM retrospective. Getting to revisit this first era of the show was so much fun and I had a lot to talk about, even more than I initially anticipated. I honestly didn’t think the video would be this long, but this in fact makes this my longest video ever. Honestly, with how much I love Chapter 2, I think it’s deserved, though watching it all in one sitting isn’t recommended unless you have a lot of time on your hands. This first setup era may not be completely perfect, but oh boy, does it contain some of the best writing in a ton of episodes, which is why it is despite everything, an overhated masterpiece. As I said, this show gets way too much hate by people who I don’t think understand what it was trying to convey, and deserves a ton of credit for daring to be its own thing and taking risks with its conflicts and dynamics. I will always love it, and there’s still a ton more to talk about. I hope you all enjoy and I hope my analysis on the show helps you reconsider anything you previously thought about it.
