The scariest thing I saw as a kid was some kind of creature, maybe a ghost, wearing one of my Mom's antique drama masks, I chased it downstairs and it disappeared, safe to say, I spent the whole night in the closet, protected by my stuffed animal friends
It seemed unfazed, I was literally crawling after it being 7 and all, I never saw it again after that but the acknowledgment of it haunts me to this day
