Everything's good! I just want to know the differences between a topic, status, and gallery image, and how to use them. Also, how can I message people? + Does it always make me send in an approval for making a post?

Because you are a new user, you get filtered until you prove not to be bot. Which, despite mods being active in eliminating, you would be surprised how persistent they can be. 
 

So, no. You will not need approval when you prove to be a real person on the site. 
 

Topics provoke discussions, status are for more random things, image gallery is just a collection of images you wish to make. Blog posts are just diary entries, random thoughts, etc.
 

If you make a thread and it is better off as a blog, the most you will get is a moderator directing you with advice. This is not a scary event. It means you are being guided. Just have fun.

Alrighty, thank you! I made a couple posts, do you think that they are as placed as they should be?? I usually use the status feature, since I'm not so familiar with the other opitions.
