  1. you know? you're right I sometimes forget that Rainbow Dash is a girl. I mean this may sound harsh but Princess Daisy (from Nintendo) IS a tomboy, Rainbow Dash seems like a dude wanabe, I'm not saying this because I want to insult her, it's just a vibe I get from her and I wonder if it's right. And I'm not the male to blame, I am a male that wants equal things for males and females alike, I want them to be treated equally.
  2. I def felt weird inside, the awkward mood was perfect, but I still laughed because it was funny, but it was a laugh with a pinch of guilt attached to it. Come to think of it, the tendency says here that most of you actually cringed, felt bad for him, paused, could not stand the scene and yada-yada-yada means that it paid off for the writers, producers and animators. The scene was about feeling something and apparently we all did, we felt really bad for Spike. In how many cartoons have you seen this grounded awkward mood as big as this one? It was a terrific job in the end and it delivered majorly.
  3. I would say either Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie. But Pinkie already gotten experience from taking care of the baby Cakes, still I do not trust her entirelly :okiedokielokie: The worst mom has to be def Rainbow Dash, she would be able to care for her foal but she wouldn't be able to keep it safe because of how daring she is. Even a simple travel to the market can be dangerous for that foal if it is going with Rainbow Dash.
  4. I've seen overanalyzing countless of times in the show, and boy it's bothersome! but I have never seen overanalyzing about something as trivial as carrying Rarity's bags. like, seriously?
  5. exactly. Rainbow Dash's flaws are usually being arrogant and cocky, also rude if you want more. Rarity's flaws are similar to Rainbow Dash's more than you think, she's egocentric, self-centered, superficial and vane. Note the last 2 are flaws most males dislike about girls. That's why Rarity got so much hate in the past ignoring her good traits. I personally like Rarity's flaws the most because from all the ponies, she's the most grounded in terms of relatability. She's seems more real and complex than any other pony.
  6. @@ghostfacekiller39, I wished I was there at page 2 ...some of these posts were laugable but now quoting them as of now seems pointless, you took good care of Rarity defending her. Good Job!
  7. I don't get it.... Rarity is currently one of the most popular characters now, what hate? if you mean, in the past, well yes, she was absolutelly hated by the fans before season 3 aired. I'm proud to say that I liked Rarity since the very beginning, and what makes her an exquisite character is how flawed, how GOOD flawed she is, that's something ignorants could not see about her and needed her bluntly singing about how generous she is to make them see that Rarity is awesome.
  8. people can do whatever they want with their lives. saying that 'these selfies aren't ok' is just wrong, however they don't make them look less stupid (I laugh on the inside) that's what I think about these selfies that are usually on the mirror in your bathroom, because people always look awkward in those, I like ones you take to yourself directly from the camera. So I both hate and like selfies. I saw a news where a girl died in Russia because she fell off a bridge for taking daring selfies there.
  9. is kinda true he has no choice, that's why I prefer to say he wants to serve his friends. @, your post makes me think if it was a mistake to turn something as big as the Equestria Games a Spike episode. They've been preparing for that since season 3 and people were so eager to see how the Equestria Games would be like. From my point of view, even if I didn't get to see the games, the episode was an absolute thrill to watch because it felt so real, the atmosphere of the games felt so real-like. I can totally see how this episode can be a lot more emotional that it seemed to be. Spike's reaction when he found out he didn't lit the torch. The awkward aura of the stadium and him when he sang Cloudsdale anthem felt so real... especially when he said 'and it keeps going lalala' it was so funny, so clever yet so awkard. I may not have cringed or looked away, but I felt it so hard. Also this episode was filled with so many small details that makes the episode worthwhile, for example when he kicked the bag to pretend that he was packing when Twilight found him. And the moral along with that touching bg music...'all the praise in the world means nothing if you don't feel it inside', it's so mature and relatable.
  10. didn't you think that he probably likes to serve others? what was great about Spike in Inspiration Manifestation was that he is a flawed character, but a flawed one that makes sense. There wasn't anything mature about leaving his true duty for last, trying to solve it with short term solutions. But it's okay because he learned the lesson in the end.
  11. I can't stress enough how much I hear that Spike is useless, a slave, a wimp, always ruin everything, a bad character, awful, annoying and more and more and more. I have to agree there, that is, until these past 2 weeks, which, who would know! they were 2 Spike episodes in a row! I don't like Spike for these same reasons, because there isn't anything deep to work with on him. In one side you see him as a support point for Twilight in Lesson Zero, but then you see him being completely irrational and stupid following idiotic concept of a dragon code, oh! and don't forget his small bits when he usually ruins everything, for example when he ruined the breezies travel when he cut off that leaf when he was dancing on a tree's branch. In that same episode you could see in the mane6 faces the 'ugh, Spike you ruined something again, let's move on' when he was apologizing to Fluttershy. What I'm saying is that Spike is usually the character that you want to see out of the way, that you don't care about or appreciate at all. And that's why he had that stigma within him. But, even myself, have to admit that Inspiration Manifestation and Equestria Games where major highlights for him, and actually those 2 episodes gave him a nice amount of depth to his character that wasn't seen before. I don't know if it's late to realize or what. But what makes Spike annoying or a 'bad character' is his own personality, that, in my opinion, hasn't been exploited in depth despite how many episodes he had in the past. He's a baby dragon, after all. He's super naive and innocent and I belive his maturity is a little above the CMC's, and those are things we usually know about him but we don't put in practice when we critizise his character. I'm not going in depth analyzing these 2 episodes I mentioned but in Inspiration Manifestation we could see that even if Spike doesn't seem to have the same crush he had on Rarity in the past, he still seems to have an admiration and care for her. It's a feeling he can't have for Twilight or any of the other ponies, because he, crushed or not, puts Rarity in a pedestal when he interacts with her, and this feeling is so real like and relatable. I have seen shitons of reactions already and most of them were like, 'Spike what are you doing? tell the truth' while always praising Owlowiscious constant pressure for Spike to do the right thing. Yes, Spike was annoying in this episode, because he wasn't able to stop Rarity from destruying Ponyville even if he always knew from the very beginning what he had to do, always trying to persuade her or trying to find short term solutions, because he feared of losing Rarity's friendship. Not having the guts of telling someone you love what they're doing is wrong despite you knowing is bad, is a feeling many of us have struggled with, which in my opinion, makes Spike a character that has self-esteem issues and lack of confidence. This may sound bad, but this is good for him because Spike could be gaining some complexity to him. Now in Equestria Games, which I never imagined, would've been a Spike episode. We can see a very vulnerable Spike that acted so down to earth and realistic despite him embarrassing his ass in from of thousand of ponies. I don't think I have to explain much here, but I cannot stress enough how good this episode was for him. Now I get why he usually felt useless, like he said in Power Ponies. Like in Power Ponies I didn't get that feeling despite him saying it, but in Equestria Games I got it but he didn't need to mention it, I just felt it. Anywho, I have more respect for the little one now...I still don't like Spike that much, but I appreciate these episodes they were both great for him!
  12. I've had my own theories. Twilight would be asian with black hair. She seems asian to me because her eyes are curved a little, her hair is very straight, plus she's very smart. why not? Rainbow Dash, would be latina, with a nice dark tan. I see her with dark brown hair, and dark eyes as well, but she dyed her hair like a rainbow and she uses pink contact lenses. Rarity and Applejack and Fluttershy would be white. However Fluttershy would be incredibly pale because she doesn't go out. Applejack is pretty easy since she can be portrayed as a blonde country girl. Rarity is a black haired girl with blue eyes. Pinkie Pie would be a mixed white/black girl. I dunno her super curly hair strikes me that way, however her skin color came out really light, same to her eyes.
  13. I love the last one! even if it's impossible for Rarity to sit like that, I'll let it pass, because it looks so fabulous! who's the artist?
  14. just like Pinkie said in maud pie "choices, choices, choices" Rarity will be best pony, Fluttershy worst (for me) however, Fluttershy outshined Rarity in that Celestia costume, sorry. But we like what we like I guess. I thought bronies were usually ashamed or embarrassed to admit that, but I'm not even gonna say 'it takes guts to say that' cuz you clearly admit it proudly :0
  15. fluttershy has been exploited this season with several changes on her self image and also for giving ideas to the R34 artists ._. she stood out plenty with that celestia costume! I should draw her like that in one of these days.
  16. I'll put you an example with me. Why I used to dislike Rainbow Dash? well it wasn't because she did this or that in X or Y episode, like most Rarity haters seemed to do. Her personality simply rubbed me the wrong way. Rainbow Dash's personality could easily fit a real person, and that's how well written she was, however I just dislike people who behave like her. It wasn't her performance in episodes, it was her as a whole. Now since Wonderbolts academy I've seen her like toned down A LOT! she has gotten better with time and I no longer disliker her, still, she's still not one of my favorites but at least she's better than Fluttershy for me.
  17. I think that's the norm. Rarity fans usually hate Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash fans hate Rarity back. It's funny cuz the show always implied that the opposite of Rarity was Applejack, therefore we should have been against her haha. But I honestly do not enjoy other ponies together more than Rarity and Applejack, gosh I love how these 2 interact with each other!
  18. I actually used to dislike Rainbow Dash like a lot, like A LOT!!!! you have no idea how much I hated her xD
  19. you're quite wrong, Rarity perhaps has loyal haters that stick around since season 1, but one thing is true and proven! Rarity is not least favorite anymore, I think that the people that still attack her are jealous or frustrated that a pony like Rarity is dominating, instead of the typical Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie. yes the drama comes out of that thread, but I wasn't there so I'm not exactly sure what happened there
  20. it's like all the hate of Rarity is coming back all over again, but differently. This now seems to be driven by bitterness and hostility.
  21. see? I think we're overthinking about this issue. Actually I wouldn't have found out about all this 'Rarinazi' drama if it weren't by you guys. I'm not worried, mad or scared, because I didn't have an argument with anyone. I know this would sound weird at first but sometimes it's convenient being an ignorant about some topics. Actually if I was there at that thread and saw those pictures, I wouldn't take it to heart anyway cuz I'm ignorant about nazis and hitler, I know he was a bad guy, some people defend his views, but I personally prefer to stay out of that dispute and drama. If a Pinkie Pie wants to hate me and not being my friend because I love Rarity I'd be like 'bitch, you miss it, I'm an awesome person', I think you should all do the same. Fighting with others over this ridiculous thread is too far past the line. Judge me for who I am not for the pony that I like. NOPE OH MAI...
  22. I never gave a damn, first because I don't like reading, and that thread already had way too many pages, second I knew something like that would have happened. I just cared about the outcome of the votes and nothing more. NOPE I don't think it's gonna work, NSFW is probably the toughest rule that shouldn't be broken and it's actually the one that worths more WP. So watch out for that! I don't want anypony punished for not knowing too well the rules!
  23. funny story The first thing I saw of the show, was the second half of sonic rainboom, man that was bad, I saw Rarity as the usual annoying antagonist that is a bitch and at the end she apologize, in fact I didn't even think she was a main character. After that, I started to watch the episodes in order and the rest is history!
  24. but not getting hate is virtually impossible. Every pony receives their amount of hate, including Rainbow Dash almighty. But you know what I noticed? Yesterday I've read a comic about Rainbow Dash persuading Scootaloo into doing her grocery shopping, people werent so nice to her in the comics. Days ago, I saw of Rarity making Coco Pommel to be a live advertising sign for Carousel Boutique, outside! in the sun! I think the humor was a little cruel with this one, but surprisingly people didn't butcher Rarity like I thought they would, they were focusing more on Coco's past like, at least I'm not working for Suri, at least it's a better job etc. See what I mean? Rarity gained more fans but I think her hate has been reduced significantly and you should ignored that tournament thread and just vote, that's what I've been doing I don't want anyone to pop my bubbles.
  25. I don't see what's the buzz with that thread? Sure I liked Rarity winning over Twilight and I casted a vote too, but I don't even care what's going on there. I liked her victory not for the tourney but because this is another reason that Rarity's popularity is changing in the fandom, not only on this site but on several more. Now that you mention Pinkie fans, wow, I usually thought that Rainbow Dashes fans were the ones to be assholish I guess that's another thing that changed in the fandom.
