  1. Last night. Video game music helps me sleep and focus. Last time you bought something cheap that was a total game changer?
  2. My man. Probably my favorite two parts in the movie are: "...and that led to my drinking problem." *Dumps cup of juice all over himself* And "Smoking or non-smoking?" "Smoking." *Hands him a ticket that is literally billowing smoke." My roommate in college introduced me to that movie and I couldn't believe I'd never seen it before. Leslie Nielsen was also a treat in that movie. You ever watched Young Frankenstein too? It's a lot like Airplane! https://youtu.be/RyU99BCNRuU "Perhaps I could help you with that hump." "What hump?" DEAD
  3. The Shawshank Redemption, hands down. Others are The Hangover, Deadpool, Skyfall, Spirited Away, Jurassic Park, The Green Mile, Spaceballs, Airplane!, Young Frankenstein, and others. I also have fond memories of What Dreams May Come. It wouldn't even be fair to list some of my favorite Disney animated movies. Tarzan, Mulan, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Princess and the Frog, The Little Mermaid, Treasure Planet, and The Emperor's New Groove. I'll always have a soft spot for The Rescuers and The Great Mouse Detective. The opening scene of Oliver & Company always makes me teary.
  4. Never. Hoping to see Canada one day. Last time you ordered take out?
  5. Chicken parmesan from one of my favorite local restaurants.
  6. No. I keep trying to get my partner to play, but they think the game goes on forever. Like, why did you buy it then?? Honestly if you follow all the rules, the game is over in a couple hours.
  7. I don't remember. I'm sure I've committed a traffic violation at some point in the last week if that counts lol Last time you slept at least 8 hours?
  8. This show kinda changed my life, haha glad to see others on the happy horse forums know the sad horse show Matilda! "You know, the funny thing is, on the outside I was an honest man, straight as an arrow. I had to come to prison to be a crook."

    general Moving out?

My partner and I bought our condo last spring. I was in between jobs at the time so all the extra time I had went to packing and moving what I could. Word to the wise: don't buy a 300 pound sleeper sofa then live on the second floor. We're probably going to stay here a few years, five at most. Do some renovations and finally build equity in something as opposed to throwing away all our money on rent with a landlord who might get to things whenever they feel like it. Now, WE are our own landlords. It's hella empowering. But it's too small to have kids or a dog so we're eventually going to buy something bigger with a yard. What I always hate about moving is that I always find out just how much extra crap we have. Our condo is like 60% the size of our old rent house and we had to get rid of a lot of extra stuff. We threw away about 1,500 pounds of junk that couldn't be recycled or donated. It was astonishing. It also felt pretty cathartic to just let it go. 10/10 recommend. Still, I hate moving with every fiber of my being. I've done it probably 7 times since moving away from my hometown. So if future moves can be kept to a minimum, that'd be ideal.
  10. Currently 7°C. Overcast. Might rain, might not. Calm winds. A cold front came from the west last night. Today, it will be 10°C, falling to 0°C overnight. Yesterday's high was 23°C. It was a beautiful day.
  11. Okay. Most of what you listed in your post is understandable, but I'm legitimately curious as to what the heck the story is behind this one. I've never even had reason to have a laptop within 5 meters of a toilet, haha!
  12. I miss my dog. One day, I hope to have a yard so I can get another dog. They're the best, but it sure is devastating when they go. :(

  13. No earthly idea haha "You know what is was like for me? I had nobody. Everybody left. I knew all those showbiz phonies would turn on me, sure. But you?" "It's not my fault you got fired." "I don't care about the job!! I did fine! I had a good life! But what I needed then was a friend. And you abandoned me. And I will never forgive you for that. Now get the fuck out of my house."
  14. Probably about 10 or 11 years ago. Last time you put sent something in the mail?
  15. South Park "I think the routine is good for me. I'm staying out of trouble, at least." "HOORAY! Staying out of trouble, at least."
  16. My neighbor with the subwoofer. The wet bar that really has no use in 2020. My condo is only 1,000 square feet so it's not big enough to actually entertain guests and there's no need for it. The space would be better used as a pantry, but it's good for making coffee. High association dues. But I really get A LOT of value out of my association, so it's a minor pick. Nail pop in some of the drywall. And all of the walls are textured so it's an extra step to have to take if a section of drywall is ever replaced. I was in a hurry to paint this place last summer when I bought it, and the shortcuts I took are incredibly obvious to me. Some of my paint lines look like crap, especially where the grey walls meet the white ceiling. The carpet is in rough shape. Also, so much carpet. I'd rather have vinyl or laminate. So much easier to clean, especially when the cats feel barfy.
  17. 222 Sure, it's a palindrome, but in the MOST BORING of ways. Honestly, I hate numbers that just repeat like that, but screw 222 in particular. Palindromes that gain that status by being the same thing over and over are like that guy you know that says he has a classic Camaro, but it's been sitting out in the rain and sun for 30 years and hasn't been touched the entire time. Just left to the elements and rusted out in several places from the neglect. "bUt It'S A CLAssiC CaMArO!" Screw that noise. That's not a classic Camaro. That's a pile of rust, Bill. When was the last time it ran? I didn't know a possum living in the engine bay counted as a motor, you nincompoop. Any time my Pokemon had 222 HP, I HATED seeing 222/222. I reveled when it skipped from 219 to 223 or when my max HP was 220 or 221 because I didn't have to see that hellish number. And Game Freak of course programmed SO many of them to hit exactly 222 HP at around Level 70-something. Frick 222. You're like 333 or 111, but so much worse. 111 is at least interesting because the numbers that are just repeating the number 1 have interesting squares. 11^2 = 121. 111^2 = 12,321. 1,111^2 = 1,234,321. 1,111,111^2 = 1,234,567,654,321.
  18. My guess is Harry Potter, but that seems too silly for HP. It's still the closest I can get. "No, it was his mother you said was dirty, not his ship!"
  19. At this stage, The Elder Scrolls VI is giving me hardcore Half-Life 3 vibes. I heard Q4 2024. I wonder if we're going to get closer to that and they'll keep pushing it back until it never gets released.

Todd, I NEED this game. And it better be better than Fallout 4. Now FO4 was pretty good, but its biggest problem is that New Vegas was better.

  20. Nothing worse than a roll of toilet paper. Knock on wood
  21. I'm 28 so I'm a bit old for celebrating, imho. My partner and I usually grab some food to eat. On our birthdays. I don't like getting presents, tho. I don't have room for anything. I just like it kept simple.
  22. Ah screw it. I've been shy, but I'ma boop ya. :P

    *boop*

  23. Of course. And I'm disturbed at the amount of people who don't. Who hurt you?
