  1. Dashie. Yep, Rainbow Dash.

    Posted Image

I don't find cartoon ponies to be, well, attractive. But Dash's just cool like that.

    Spitfire's cool too.

Well, I was taking attractive to mean pretty and beautiful. Some people seem to think it means "Which pony do you want to bed?" which just seems....odd to me!

An attractive pony is one I think is a beauty and who I'd like a poster of on my wall...if I was into having posters on my wall these days.

  2. Hmmm, this would mean no more Seafoam (ok only a pretty background pony but she's a PRETTY background pony!), no more Twilight (! who would the show revolve around?!), no more Applejack (awwwww) and no more Applebloom (ok can live with that, tho she's good for cute comedy moments)...

Looking at that, the show would become a tousle between Rarity and Rainbow for leadership, and maybe Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo would be elevated to the Mane Six which could be fun...

But it would be a very different show, and I'd be looking for the creators to make Scootaloo the enjoyable character of season 2, not the pain of season 1, and Pinkie the Pinkie of 'Its About Time' and not the complete prat she can be othertimes...

Oh yeah, the second question - what if they only left the ponies I like least? It'd be a very bitchy place, with Diamond Tiara, that other annoying classmate of Applebloom's whose name I've forgotten, Snips and Snails (ugh), that strange young male pony that was in the Halloween episode, the bitchy ponies from Canterlot, and Sweetie Belle...

It would kind of be a very BAD MLP-The Next Generation!

  3. Outwardly its changed my vocabulary somewhat and my laptop desktop is ponified, not that anyone notices anymore, its just something that's there. Inwardly, it hasn't really altered my depression, but watching the show provides an interlude of happy fun and can calm me down and take my mind off things.

  4. Are we allowed to mention our own websites in our blogs? I have a review section for TV/Films on my AHF website and have reviewed a couple of MLP FiM episodes in the past, and intend to review S3 E1 as soon as I've watched it. And, obviously, I write the reviews in the hope and intention that other people will read them (why else, lol) but gain nothing monetary etc out of doing them.

  5. Since I lurk on another forum where many of the members get so excited about perceived breaches of the rules and compete with one another to talk about it, I greatly appreciate the attitude of the mods here to keep things under control, report things, and they will deal with it.

And no, I'm not being a hypocrite. This forum by its very definition is one that younger people will find, so has much greater need for stricter rules.

I'm supporting the mods stance on how people should QUIETLY AND IN PRIVATE go about reporting things to them, rather than creating a huge drama. No offence to whoever did whatever the OP was careful not to mention, as I don't know, don't need to know, and its not my business.

  6. I really liked this episode. I wrote a great post about why it was so good, but left it on my desktop pc at home, so I can't post it, but yes, it was very good, even if it proves dragons are morons, and Spike is all about nurture over nature.

  7. Why just these ones in the poll? I voted for 8 or so but some of my favourite episodes aren't there - or are you doing several of these polls and then going to aggregate them?

No Over a Barrel? The best episode by miles?

Definitely my favourite episode outside the season openers

  8. I learnt on another forum that American cider is not alcoholic, but I watched this episode assumiing it was normal cider (never heard of non-alcoholic cider, I mean wouldn't that just be apple juice?!). I was amused by all these alcoholic ponies queuing for days for their slug of cider.

Aside from that, it was fun. The song wasn't really my style, but the parts played by the other ponies was very funny! They really are a load of sheep tho! The scene with a pissed off Seafoam staring daggers at Applejack after she ran out of cider was very amusing.

I loved Applejack's letter to the princess. That was priceless!

  9. What's the geekiest thing you have ever done in the name of doctor who?

I made some lego daleks (all to the same specification/ design)

    Aren't they awesome?

    That's cool!

    My personal favourite episodes are:

    - The Girl in The Fireplace

    - The Doctor's Wife

    - The Eleventh Hour

    - A Christmas Carol

    - A Good Man Goes to War

I've rewatched those the most. But I'll mostly go for anything season 5 and 6 anyway

The Girl in the Fireplace was fantastic.

I'm not a big Matt Smith fan but I loved the space whale one, and the Churchill one that followed it, and the Van Gogh one was very well done

  10. OK, so I got from this that nobody knows how the LAND OF THE PONIES was originally founded, but that it was lost in an Ice Age that caused the three tribes to migrate away, overcoming great hazards and fighting a war that was eventually solved by a series of coups that brought more level-headed leaders together who agreed a confederation, that in time came to have an over-king and be known as Equestria...
