Alright, I've decided on the name: Alaula [A-loo-la] @Jalaton first mentioned that her name would be Horizon since that is when the earth meets the sky, both times of the day. The meaning of Alaula is "light of dawn or sunset glow". And I thought that was clever, based on her back story which is the following: Her mother is a zebra; her father a pegasus. Grew up on land [Not in Equestria, probably where Zecora is from], but isn't afraid to venture up in the clouds. She doesn't have her cutie mark. She basically gave up on forcing herself to try and find it and thought it would come easier if it found her. She's traveled on hoof throughout Equestria rather than flying because having a close up look of something different is better than a general overview. Open to trying new things. Kind of embarrassed of ponies finding out she's a pegasus because the stripes and wings bewilder ponies more. However, she's not afraid of soaring in the clouds like the rest of the pegasi. She's around the same age as the mane 6. And I think her base coat would be the same or similar color as Pound Cake [The Cakes son] and that would be maybe her pallet with the dark brown. @AnonBrony I realize I'm not good at coloring on computers. No need to further point it out. @Jinxie Soar=sour But I was thinking more along the line of 'Don't knock it until you try it' Like when ponies see the stripes and wings, they shouldn't second guess. Same with the prickly pear.

The dull brown or a light shade of brown with a streak of brown in her mane would be a good fit for her. I was thinking that she would unintentionally introduce the mane six to a prickly pear beverage, something she found on her journey, when she would come to Ponyville for a rest. And you can voice your opinion on here, I don't mind I was thinking of her looking something like this. Maybe a little darker on her base coat. I just don't want her to look really pale. And the outline for her mane and tail could be the same shade as the brown streak. Paint is the only drawing program I have.

If she were to be black with white stripes, she'd be just black and white. White stripes, white hooves, white snout and white mane and tail. If she were to be the original colors, I was thinking a sand for main fur, dull tan for stripes, dark brown hooves, kinda airbrushed dark brown snout, and white main with a brown streak in the middle. But now that I've seen and also colored her with both of my ideas, I honestly don't know what scheme to choose or just come up with a better one. @Shadow Chaser You honestly don't have to color her anymore. you've done more than enough

@Shadow Chaser, thanks for giving my OC some color. I really appreciate that! I was thinking of a white mane and her snout would be air brush color, not solid. Also a stripe in her hair like Crest toothpaste. But now that I see those colors on her, don't know if I should stay with the traditional black main color and white stripes :/ @AnonBrony, yeah, those were the problems I was running into. I saw Upeo, but just didn't like it. DylanKLJ and Jalaton, I think those names have some possiblity, Horizon and Soul Wing. And I love the fact that people are getting as stumped as me when it comes to naming this interesting cross breed. Ok, I've found a couple of names for my OC pony. I've narrowed it down to the following: Adulei Nutad Rinow Aolani [A-oh-law-nee] I think Hawaiian for heavenly cloud Alaula [A-loo-la] *Hawaiian for Light of Dawn which is similar to horizon I honestly could not find a nice translation for Horizon in any language.

Octavinyl, I would add color to her, but I don't have any skills in photoshop or gimp or some other paint program. I usually use color pencils, but I'm never any good at coloring and shading and whatnot.

I was orignally going to call her Striker and make her black with white stripes [like the pokemon Blitzle] but threw it out the window. Like, whenever ponies don't listen to her, she gets angry and can stomp out a lighting bolt from the puffiest white cloud. But I don't like this idea anymore. I'm trying to find a name that suits her since she likes to be on the land and sky equally

(SBB64/) I just wanted to get my OC character up somewhere. Hopefully someone will see it and offer to color it for me since I can't afford a commission now. I have a decent story for her, but not sure if this is a good place to post it. Do you know where I can post it? I'm having trouble on coming up with a name.
