    'Right,
so we have this Christmas spirit week going on this week. I forgot what today was, but when I got there in the morning, 2 girls had their hair sticking straight up. At first, I thought she was Marie Antonette, but then I realized she was portraying a girl from Whoville.

I don't know why, but I'm starting to get a deep liking towards the Iron Brigade.

The Iron Briage, AKA Black Hat Brigade was a brigade of several regiments in the Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War. They were famous for their iconic hardee hats and their extreme durability. I was watching a segement from the History Channel's 'Gettysburg'. And I saw the segiment were the Iron Brigade was charging the railroad cut on the 1st day. Even though the uniforms were highly inaccurate, it did entertain me.

They lost 10 men carrying the regimental colors in a matter of minutes, and yet they still charged onward and took the ditch! Even when their commander was shot in the head! By all means they should've routed. When your colors fall and you're CO's dead, most men would flee.

But still, they can't beat the Irish Brigade, what they did at Antetiam will always put them at the top of my list as the best regiment EVER! Having a bunch of Irishmen fresh off the boat from escaping opression shouting "Faugh A Ballagh" In long lines and bayonets gleaming in the sun would make me run for my live most likely.

So, my church held this giant buffet tonight for those less fortunate. We had supposidly close to 1000 people come. I must say, I enjoyed my time here helping other people. Ironically, I was in charge of getting people drinks, yet everyone got drinks on their own before I could get to them, thus I only served about 3 people >. But, I had a good time there.

Come ladies and gentlemen, and I shall tell you a little scary story. Well, it's not really as scary as it is eerie. But none the less, it's still pretty good I think. Note: This story revolves around the American Civil War, if you are alergic to history, please leave while you can!

So, a history teacher at school started teacing his students about the American Civil War. And to fit the subject, he took them on a field trip to Fredericksburg (wish my history teacher did that hah!). He showed them the town, told them about the battle plans, and of course, he showed them Marye's heights, where some 12,000 union soldiers marched to their deaths under a rain of cannon and musket.

When they returned, the teacher asked them what they thought, what they had to say about the trip. A majority of them talked about the 'christmas carols.' The teacher was puzzled and asked for a better explination. The kids said they kept hearing "Fa la la la la", like from that popular christmas carol. The teacher seemed intrigued. And did some research that night. All of the kids who heard it said they heard on Marye's Heights.

But to his suprise, he found out what the children must of heard. Aftere researching the battle and what regiments were there, he found out that they must of heard the phrase 'Faugh a Ballagh!" which was the Irish battle cry, meaning 'Clear the Way' in galic. He was also disturbed, for Marye's heights is where the Irish Brigade made their famous charge against the enemie's breastworks. and where they took an intense amount of casualties.

So, do these deceased members of the 'Fighting 69th'? still tread their death place? I'll leave that up to you...
