Remind me again what is so good about knowing everything? if we know everything then there is no mystery. Without mystery there is no wonder. I personally enjoy the sense of mystery - one could call this an error in writing where there writers didn't plug the holes properly.

I like knowing things and I like mystery. Personally I think that if EVERYTHING were explained then it would be kind of boring, but I wouldn't mind a bit more info here and there, especially about the pasts of major characters.

I personally don't think so. I feel like the shooting star scene in Apple Family Reunion was a big revelation regarding Applejack's history, but due to the general darkness of the subject I think that a lot of these mysteries will be left unanswered.

Then again, you never know. I have this nagging feeling that Season Four will have several flashbacks, and it will deal with things that the previous seasons haven't, both for characters and for the sort of mythology of the series. I don't know what form this will take (if it happens at all) but I wouldn't be surprised if some more things were hinted at and left for us to piece together. Maybe even things related to Applejack's past. Still, I don't know if we'll ever fully understand what happened.

I'm not sure if it makes sense to me that she would move to Manehatten because of grief. One of Applejack's defining characteristics is her dependability, and I can't really see her leaving her family immediately after something so turbulent had happened. Also, I could see her depending even more on the family she had left for comfort and support. Hm. I still can't make much sense of it.

The big source of the mystery is Apple Bloom. If she were there in the flashback, or was even hinted at, we'd have some kind of timeframe. Hm. Maybe Apple Bloom is adopted? Maybe another branch of the family died out and they decided to take in their orphan filly? I kind of like that idea actually. I'm still really confused. Rats.

Mine would have to be Babs Seed. I didn't really think much of it at first, but about a month later I found it on YouTube and ended up listening to it about a million times. So catchy .

You know who we need though? Alan Rickman. As a villain. The Snape pony would tear across Equestria, leaving thousands dead with the sheer sarcastic power of its voice . I'd watch it.

Bean is a character from Orson Scott Card's Ender series. You should totally check them out if you haven't already . Or at least the first one. And yeah, not to trivialize how much Fluttershy's childhood sucked, but Bean would probably have traded with her in a heartbeat. No spoilers, but there are some levels that MLP can't really touch on :( .

I don't know if I could explain it but I think it reflects your personality best too.

They don't have the same personality. Rarity is the Element of Generosity. You could make a case for Blueblood being maybe the most selfish character in the show.

After The Best Night Ever I'm not sure Rarity wants to be royalty anymore. While she enjoys being the center of attention and having everyone jump at her every word, I think that episode and Sweet and Elite showed her the kind of scum she would have to put up with if she was a high up in Canterlot.

She also realized from those two episodes that shallow friendships/relationships are ultimately meaningless and destructive. True friends/love interests aren't people that arbitrarily force you to jump through hoops for them, nor do they like you for any ulterior motive. They value you for who you are and not for what you can give them.

So I understand completely why Rarity left him, and I respect her all the more for it.

I've been a big fan of Discord ever since I heard rumors of his existence. I find him a uniquely enjoyable villain and he manages to steal pretty much every scene he's involved in. I look forward to seeing what they do with him in the future .

The opposite of SparklingTwilight is dull Twilight, which means that I'll be acting like most of the series.

I feel smothered when someone follows me around and opens doors for me but I find it endearing when someone else breaks it into my house to watch me sleep and disconnects my car battery to keep me under their control.

I say maybe. You may need to step up your arrogance if you want to make a living off of it.
