Ok, I can't see Spike ever eating Rarity, regardless of how old/big he became. He's a dragon, not a monster. And can we try to support or detract from the ship with evidence from their personalities rather than trying to discuss the specifics of Dragon/Equine reproduction? Barf.

It has always struck me as fairly bizarre due to the age/maturity difference. I suppose you could argue that dragons mature at a different rate and when they are both older it could work. I'm not the hugest fan of shipping Spike in general, although I have read some good Spike shipfics by Mallajong1. I guess if I had to ship Spike with anyone I'd ship him with Sweetie Belle.

Why do thay have roads in the sky, And also why don't thay not have those kind of roads on the ground. I was hopeing for a police Academy joke and if there was one I missed it :/ but this episode was not good but not bad ether

But I think rainbow dash ruined that ponys dreams of being a wonder bolt even thou she was a @$$ hole

Oh darn, they're putting things in episodes that they think we will enjoy. I quit. How dare they , of all things, try to please older fans of the show.

But yeah, Trixie's return was planned long ago, Scootalove was foreshadowed heavily in previous seasons, and anything else such as Doctor Whooves in the pear suit is nothing worth whining about.

The biggest fic I've ever heard of is Fallout Equestria. I think it's a post apocalyptic story, with ponies. I haven't read it myself, but I've heard that it is very good and very long so you might try that out if you want something as long as LoTR

Why She is Best Pony: She is the embodiment of freedom and the dreamer. She will always be there for her friends and is coolness, awesomeness and radicalness ponified. I think she gets way too much flak honestly. Mare Do Well was my least favorite episode but she's improved her ability to write the characters since then. Hearths Warming Eve was great, Putting Your Hoof Down was solid, I wasn't the biggest fan of Dragon Quest but Wonderbolts Academy was spectacular.

So she's a little more hit and miss than some other writers but she doesn't deserve all the abuse she gets.

Aaaaaaah! I love both of you... It's... So... Painful... I guess I have to vote for Rarity. Heh, I'm even being dramatic about it, she would approve.

I watched it a while ago but it's nice to see it again. It's fun to scroll through all the comments and to find all the butthurt Transformers fans who can't accept the obvious superiority of the best pony.

Friendship is Magic Part 2. It's what sold me on the show. They proved their elements, giggled at the ghosties, and blasted a psychopathic alicorn with a rainbow tornado. That's pretty dang awesome.

If he had a canon name we wouldn't even be discussing this in the first place. We're just staring which fan nickname we prefer.

I didn't have huge issues with Pinkie's behavior in this episode either honestly. If anything her actions could be interpreted as an expansion off of her fears of being abandoned by her friends, as we saw in Party of One. The megaphone was hilarious and as for her repeatedly checking the mailbox? It's just her being Pinkie Pie. I kind of hope that she features as a secondary character in Fluttershy or Rarity's episode this season so we can get some more development out of her this season. She's still my second favorite character in the show.

I once heard a reviewer call him Horse Power, so I call him that since it was the first name I heard and it seemed especially fitting.

So are the Wonderbolts just showponies or do they actually serve as some kind of elite air force?  I mean, Spitfire has a military uniform on with a bunch of medals and we did see them try (and fail) to fight the giant Spike in season 2.  They also seem to assist in government work by overseeing the water tornado in Hurricane Fluttershy.  Seems like a lot of responsibility for a bunch of stuntponies.

They seem to function as both, since Soarin' wore something similar to a military dress uniform to the wedding and they were called upon to stop Spikezilla.

I loved a post that I saw on EQD a while ago so I'm going to paraphrase it here for our collective enjoyment. "Oh my gosh, Lightning Dust is like the new Trixie! I bet she gets a magic jetpack and comes back for revenge next season!"
