Apple pony fans run on apple pony logic. > Competition = Fall Weather Friends > I CAN WIN ALL THEM TOURNAMENTS > Small fanbase? IS THAT A CHALLENGE > RAISE THE VOTES RAISE THE VOTES ONE TWO THREE FOUR > we applefans we are proud to say/stick together the pony way > before AJ was declared the official winner of March Madness "EVERY COLOR OF RIBBON. EVERY COLOR BUT BLUE :(" > *Applejack isn't in the lead by 40 votes* *enacts Somepony to Watch Over Me conditions on thread* > OH MAH APPLEJACK AT 41 VOTES AHEAD I BETTER CHECK ON THA THREAD > "JUST CHECKIN YOU NEVER KNOW WITH THAT MAYOR MARE" > "AH MEAN THAT GAL'S A POLITICIAN"
Dang, you're onto something here
Speaking of tournaments, I'll be pulling for Dashie! She's the underdog of the Mane 6 from the looks of it, but that just puts her in a good position to upset a lot of matches.Admittedly it feels weird hearing Rainbow Dash be called the underdog. I guess S4 really did do a number on herHurray
. And I don't know if I'd blame Season 4, necessarily, even if hers left something to be desired a lot of the time. I think it comes down to Dash not being favored by neutral voters especially often, and I think it's been this way for a long time. Doubt S4 helped, but it's felt like this to me for a while. Shrug. We'll just do what we can do
Unrelated to all of that, I'd really like to see something out of Dash's family in Season 5. She's already dealt with tests involving friends, false friends, herself, dreams, heroes, surrogate sisters, and all of that, and it'd be kind of fresh to introduce new people who really should be very important to her and have them be a part of some challenge. Maybe her parents are going through a rough time financially, and she feels pressured to go and help them out, while also not wanting to leave her obligations in Ponyville? Not sure how that'd play out or whether that'd be a good story, but I do feel that throwing her parents into the mix would be great for her character. Their interactions would help give us a better idea of how Dash became who she is, and I'm sure they could be very entertaining too

Seventeen?
Edit: Whoops, must've been thinking of somebody else
. Sorry

Congrats to AJ on a well-deserved victory today, and while I'd have preferred a different outcome (or for my two favorite ponies to get matched up against one another less often
) always makes me happy to see a good turnout supporting the apple pony.
Mobile mattress is apparently one of her many talents

Lime green is
[/color
Blue is
[/color
And light blue is
[/colorJust place whatever text you want to color in the middle of the brackets, and add an extra one of these
]
To the end of each of the end "color" words, to make them each look like this.
And that should work. Sorry that this is all kind of confusing, and I hope that does it for you. Post back here if you're having any trouble understanding or making things work, and we'll figure things out

I'm casting my vote for Dash, but I'm probably gonna avoid the World Cup this time considering how nasty things got during March Madness
I can understand why. Competition can get pretty ugly and make people do some pretty dumb things. Which, ironically enough, was the moral of Dash and AJ's only episode together
And now I'm hoping that the World Cup proceeds peacefully and that Dashie and AJ get an episode together that doesn't involve them making complete fools of themselves
. They have potential for some seriously fun interactions, and I'd love to see Season 5 take advantage of that.

Throwing my two favorite ponies up against each other once again? That ain't right. Voted for Dashie, Cadence and Spike. But hey, even if Tank loses, his owner will keep the tortoise pride alive

Just a heads up to you all that Dash is going up against Applejack in one of those World Cup matchups. My two favorite ponies
. Here's a link, if you wanna vote.
Also, anyone got any good Rainbow Dash fan music? I've heard Loyalty like everyone else, and these are good too.

She's self-centered, insensitive and doesn't really think before she speaks, cares way too much what other people think about her, isn't the best at losing, is very distractable, can be on the lazy side when she isn't dealing with something that greatly interests her, has a quick temper, is pretty stubborn, isn't the quickest to notice when something's wrong or when someone's down, and much much more.
Dash is far more flawed than those who simply call her arrogant give her credit for. However, she's also made significant progress in dealing with these flaws, and watching her do so has been very satisfying

Yup, several times. All were fairly minor, but those things tend to stick with you.
What's the last board game you played, and who was it with?

Super80 Wolf x Manly Spike

I'll give you a 5 because you go on DN

One of my friends is writing a fanfic about Dash at the moment, and it got me thinking about how her childhood in Cloudsdale shaped her. The show's touched on how Fluttershy's experiences there made her a timid, nervous, repressed person, and I think it had a similar (though also opposite effect) on Dash. Instead of becoming timid, Rainbow became much more aggressive and confrontational in order to try and stop people from making her their sort of personal punching bag. Her knowing Fluttershy probably steered her into acting this way even more, both because she was able to see just how much people would take advantage of you if you'd let them, and because she started to feel more protective of her meek friend. Not saying that all of either of their attitudes come completely from their experiences as kids, but I do think they had an impact.
Kind of interesting how later episodes can tie into this, as well. After Testing Testing, you can sort of see that she was probably picked on for having trouble in school. Both her academic failures and not wanting to be seen as weak probably contributed to her attitude in Read it and Weep. I also think that all of this ties into why she started wanting to be a Wonderbolt in the first place, both because she loves flying and because nobody would ever dream of calling a Wonderbolt a failure. Sort of a way to always know that she's a success, and that everyone who ever mocked her was wrong.
And I'm largely saying things I've written and you've probably read elsewhere
. Have a cute picture as thanks for reading.

You are an explorer with magic on your face.
I'm so flattered
Also whoa I didn't mean to but I automatically said/read that in Axel's voice
BUT YOU'RE TOO LATE

Well, whether or not people will use them, I went back and added the polls to all the episode threads for previous seasons. It was a mighty endeavor and the terrible forces of boredom and IP Board battled me every step of the way. Happy voting
. All should be done here.

You've overcome a lot of challenges and still seem to be in pretty good spirits
. I think that's pretty great.

Limiting number of daily posts?
in Feedback
This isn't something that's ever going to happen. If anything, a forum should be encouraging activity and participation in discussions. Arbitrary restrictions on everybody's posting abilities and forcing them to be picky with what they reply to doesn't sound like anything but an overreaction to a minor problem, and a fast track to sucking liveliness and fun out of the community. So long as the vast majority of people here are contributing quality posts, it'd be uncalled for to impose restrictions like these.
This isn't saying that spammy replies and low quality posts aren't a problem, but people who are determined to spread them all over the place will always be dealt with on an individual basis. Doing otherwise would create much bigger problems than the ones this policy is meant to curb.
